Hello Tea for Two, I Love You...

I am in love. Major big time, guys. Tea for Two is seriously the best. This month I am playing with the Daily Diary kit and all the paper from the big kit. And you guys, after seeing all these awesome papers - and I think Deanna can attest to this - you need to order the extra papers. Trying to decide between sides A and B is going to be like choosing between your children...

Here's another spread from my album...

I've been using the Maggie Holmes Flea Market and Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic editions in my album so far, so that I can keep with the color palette that I've set, and Tea for Two is the PERFECT addition! Love how the little bits of ephemera and those wood veneer stickers match perfectly.

I am loving those Crate Paper rubons. Like a lot. And gold is something I can't get enough of these days. I cut out a million and one shapes with my Cameo from their gold sticker paper, and I layered this little house with that cute blue patterned paper, and the typed words paper (both from Pebbles) and stuck down a wood veneer heart, and a little enamel heart from my stash. The xoxo is a rubon from that amazing set, and the writing on the bottom is my own scrawl.

A simple card. Straight out of the kit, slapped a rub-on at the top, and journaled. That's it.

This is a 4x6 card from the kit, put the photo onto a scrap tag from a past kit, stuck on the two different washi's from this and the Sweet & Simple kit, and stitched it onto the card, leaving a pocket to slide in a journaling tag.

This is one of the tags I cut out from the CP Notes & Things sheet, punched a hole and tied on a couple more tiny tags from the ephemera pack and tied them all together with a bow. Noel put an awesome date stamp in a kit a million years ago, and I use that little puppy ALL THE TIME! Added a little journaling and tucked her behind the photo. Easy peasy.

That's all for me today! I have lots of spreads in the works using the Tea for Two kit, so I'll see you back here next week for lots more fun stuff! Have a great weekend!

Fun in the Sun with Tea for Two

Hi there friends! Happy Friday!  As we go in to the Labor Day weekend, I have a quick layout to share with a picture of my girl driving the boat.  It's turned out to be one of my favorites of her from this summer, so I paired it with one of my favorite quotes. Of course I used the new Tea for Two kit that just arrived on my doorstep. The starry paper was the perfect match for both the quote and this picture. I love it when everything comes together like that .

I love simple little details and adding texture to my page. This kit comes with lots of texture from shiny brads, to paper lace, cork and twine, there's a little bit of everything in it. And of course I had to add just a touch of all to my page.

If you missed out on this kit, be sure you don't miss out again on future kits. Noel is opening up sub subscriptions soon! Be ready!! These kits are too good to pass up!

Favorites

Hello friends!! Today I am sharing my first layout using the Tea for Two kit! This kit is fabulous, I know I say this about them all, but its true! This could easily be my new favorite! So many possibilities, and the embellishments are to die for!

The first thing that stood out at me when I got my kit was this paper from Crate Paper. I loved how the diamond shape was right in the middle, and how everything drew in to it. I decided to work my entire design around that one element.

This photo might see like an odd one to scrap, but these are two of my tiniest favorite things right now...daddy and our dog, Ruger. The colors and elements helped to make this photo really stand out, and I could easily tell my story...with no added clutter from journaling.

Sometimes, with the right embellishments and design, you can let your photo tell the story.

This kit is sold out, but you can pick up the paper, and a few of the embellishments here!!!

A Beautiful Summer Day

This is one of the last escapes we will have as a family for summer as school is starting up and the days are all about to shift to routine and learning here, so I really wanted to create a page that would  highlight this gorgeous memorable day!

The colors of the cards and papers and sweet sentiments on the stickers really pulled the design together in a fun bold way! I love how the little flower added the perfect little pop of color on the woodgrain sentiment card, too!

the clip and circle die cut were also perfect for layering on one of my favorite pictures

Have you finished documenting your summer? Were you able to snag one of these South Shore Daily Diary Kits to try? I have so enjoyed creating with this kit this month and hope you will share some of your designs with us, as well, on the facebook member page!

punches of color with the South Shore kit

Hello again!

I have one last South Shore project to share with you before I dig into my "Tea For Two" kit that arrived yesterday! It is even more gorgeous in real life than it is in the pictures! There are only a few more of these kits left in the shop so hurry to the shop and get yours if you haven't already and check out the other new items while you are there.

I love the bright colors in the South Shore kit and thought they would go well with this summery picture of one of my girls.

I started with white cardstock on the polka dot background and added some spray mist.

I then added some layers of different patterned papers in the kit, lots of punched butterflies which I stapled to the page and tucked a journaling card under my photo.

I like using punches of color and I think it turned out cute with the butterflies on this page.

Thanks for stopping by Noel Mignon today!

Have a great day!

Make sure to share your creations with us and come hang out with us on our Facebook page.

Happy scrapping!

Project Life: A Neverending Story

Good morning!

Today I want to share with you another page in my Project Life album. It's not terribly complex, but I'm loving making progress!

I really like to keep things mostly flat in my album, otherwise it's going to end up taking 10 albums to get through a single year. But occasionally I'll either choose to do one or two bulky pockets on a page, or after several fairly flat pages, I'll add a whole page with lots of bulky pockets.

I had a decent amount of journaling on this spread, but I didn't want the whole page to be dominated by my handwriting. So I made a little flip book from that adorable chipboard frame. All I did was back it with some patterned paper, stitch on a little piece of ephemera, and add some embellies. Oh, and of course those gold glitter thickers for the dates. love those.

 The inside...

Loved this 3x4 cutout. I just added my own handwriting in between, and slapped a brad on the O. Love those Summer Bliss Brads <3 .="" br="">

Another fairly simple card. Just cut out the center from the Elle's Studio sheet, coated the sides with a little glue, and sprinkled on some gold glitter. Glued it down, then added that sweet little dove over the top.

And that's all for today! Hope you all have a great weekend!

My Girl Sunshine

Hello friends and hello Friday! So glad it's Friday is finally here! Today I'm sharing a layout that is the direct result of a conversation online--my tendency to create layouts about my oldest daughter and not as many about my younger daughter. SO I specifically set out to design a layout about my 2nd girly, the one who shies away from the camera, in order to document a little bit of HER too. These pictures totally capture her sweet little personality, the one that doesn't like being the center of attention.

My Girl Sunshine

Layered flair, trios of brads, deconstructed Elle's Studio tags, stacked chipboard pieces...there's a little bit of everything on this layout. I also borrowed the little label stickers from my Balboa kit (on sale now), but for the most part this layout is entirely the South Shore kit.  (hint: these two kits make a great compliment to each other) And I know it's been said before, but I LOVE that I can get so many layouts created with just one kit. And they're not skimpy, paper-only layouts. Anyway, I'm really loving all the patterns and embellishments in this kit!

Smile

Hello friends!! I have a fun card to share today using the South Shore kit!! The bright colors in this kit are perfect for a simple everyday pick me up card! I like to make a few general cards, and have them laying around for different occasions, and I knew this kit would make for some super happy cards! :)

I knew I wanted to use one of those adorable pin wheels for the focal point, and I just worked out from there. I added in lots of fun little bits and pieces, love these anything goes cards!! This took me just 10 minutes to put together, and I love how everything in the kits work for fun, quick, and easy projects!! Here's a close up for you!

Sneaks have been happening over on the facebook page for our amazing upcoming September kit...Tea for Two! Another fabulous one, so make sure and sign up for a sub spot, if you haven't already, this is one you won't want to miss out on!!!

Summer Memories: Make it a Mini

Sometimes all you need for a whole summer of fun is a mini album. It can be a cute way to celebrate your summer memories and it is sweet (and small) enough that you can even keep it out on your desk or coffee table.

I decided to use a simple 4x6 design using cards and embellishments in the
layering them together in a stackable little book.

The best part is that these cards can stand alone on their own, which means this can still be placed in traditional pocket pages, if I ever would like to do that .

I love all of the many sticker options in the kit this month! That tends to be consistent month after month with the  Daily Diary Kits and I adore that there are so many "flat" layering options, but even the "thicker" options look lovely and are not too bulky, like the bathing suit wood veneer on this card

I hope this inspires you to create some special  pages or albums with your summer photos and memories!

Happy Creating,

Happy Campers

As I mentioned on our facebook chat group the other day, I was sorting through my layouts for 2014 and realized I had done none of my son!! I feel like such a bad mom! He doesn't love to have his picture taken, and I try not to invade his privacy, but at the same time... there are still plenty of things I can scrap about him. I made it my goal to go ahead and scrap a memory of him and some of his friends from his "Great Outdoors" birthday party from earlier this year.

The Sweet and Simple kit (now sold out) had so many perfect additions for this outdoorsy themed layout. I went ahead and made a custom embellishment too with this cute Silhouette cut file.

One of the things that I just love about Noel: she's always so thoughtful in her kit packing. I know that it was not an accident that I ended up with this adorable tiny "Alabama" license plate embellishment!
