So Thankful 4 Love This is done almost entirely with the Home Sweet Home kit. I really like how it turned out. It's a bit of a departure form my usual style, but it's one of my new favorites. I used Inspired Blueprints bonus sketch for the inspiration.
Jump This was done with a mix of both Home Sweet Home and Cornucopia. TFL!!
Have a nice weekend!

Scrap those photos!
Hello there! With Noel's new challenge on scrapping photos with Halloween costumes in them -- it is a sure fire way to scrap last years' Halloween pictures. That is what I did. And I used non traditional colors as well.
I used a little of this and that from past NM kits -- I tell ya those paper were waiting for the pics -- I hope you give the challenge and try --- click on this link to take a look. The contest ends Friday (tomorrow).

Absorbed
Oh my goodness, I think the pieces of this kit just flew out of the box and onto the page all by themselves.
Yes, it was nearly that easy to work with this beautiful Cornucopia kit. Hee hee
(To see a list and pictures of the full kit contents, click here!)
I sanded bits of the fabric thickers to give them a more worn look, and then stitched them on with red embroidery thread. I made a small "flower" to poke out of behind this journaling spot- just cut an uneven circle and then cut strips into it... ink and pull the edges up some to give dimension.
(I was inspired by sketch #2 on Inspired Blueprints! I used it as a spring board and then made it fit my style.)

Grow (a bit slower....would ya?)
This picture is of my super speedy growing boy planting this summer! We put in a new pond in our back yard, and as you can see I have a gardener on my hands! I created this LO using Noel's newest kit, Home Sweet Home. As always she has outdone herself with beautiful papers and embellishments! The one item not in the kit that is on my LO, is the Jenni Bowlin Bingo card. Although that is found in Noel's store too! : )
Noel is offering another gorgeous kit called Cornucopia. These won't last long....so HURRY!

Spooktacular Layout and a Paper Bag Card
I have a few more things to share with you using the Ghost Story kit (only ONE left!). First, is a layout I did of my daughter in her Narnia White Witch costume from last year. I really love how even though her costume is white and blue, by using accents of orange, black and green the layout still has a Halloween feel to it.
I love to make cards using paper lunch sacks, especially during the fall where the Kraft color compliments the colors of the season. Use pinking shears to cut the bag a little smaller for a square card.
Inside, adhere a piece of cardstock to write your sentiment on.
These are also really fun for invitations. Utilize the opening in the paper sack by tucking in additional information about the party or add a slip of paper with directions to your house.
I actually used paper lunch sacks to create Christmas cards one year. I decorated the front, added a picture on the inside, and then wrote a short newsletter that I tucked into the paper bag opening. They were easy and were an adorable variation on the standard Christmas card.
Have fun creating!

forward progress
This was using the Blue Skies Kit (sorry it's sold out) but for those of you who were lucky enought to get it maybe you can gain some inspiration. This kit is fabulous and i cannot wait to dig into it some more.
I used a piece of chipboard and this is going to be the cover of a new journal I am starting. You can see more information here. I plan on binding this with my bind it all and will keep adding to it. But for now this is all I have. i will definitly share more as it progresses.
For those of you that do not know Noel has a message board now and we would love for you to join us if you haven't already. You can sign up here AND she has some sneek peeks up of the 2 new kits. You will not want to miss them.
See you on the boards!

My Little Golden J
I did this one with the Homeroom kit. This is my oldest son on his 1st birthday, and I love this photo of him. The title is done from the cover of a "little golden" board book. The kit is sold out, but I do have the papers, flowers, crepe paper, and thickers in stock if you are looking for items in this color scheme. I have had a lot of people loving the colors in this kit, so these are some good options.

How to make your own glitter cuts
Have you seen those new Glitter Cuts that Fancy Pants came out with? And some of the little glitter die cut embellishments from Making Memories?
Well, I really like them, but I wanted to see if I could make some customized ones for me. You know how when you get new box of embellishments, and there's one in there that is your "favorite," and you don't want to use it on just anything?
I figured out a way to keep making the same glittery die cut over and over.
Get out a few favorite stamps, an acrylic block, some black Staz-on ink, and a plain ol' transparency sheet from the office supply store.
Stamp your main image on the sheet.
Add a few more images until it looks good to you.
Don't be afraid if the images don't impress well, or if there's a tiny mistake here and there... it won't show up in the final product.
Using Sharpies (or Slick Writers, or Gel Pens- the options are endless!), color in your images.
Again, don't be afraid to make a few little mistakes.
Once it's all colored in, get out your Stickles. You can tell that the colors of my Stickles don't match the colors of my Sharpies, but that's ok. I wanted the layered colors, as you'll see in the pics below. Go ahead and color in your image to your discretion with the different colors of Stickles, or just use the clear Diamond Stickles to let the Sharpie's colors come through.
This is what it looks like before Stickles.
This is what it looks like after! (Click on it to see it bigger.)
All you need to do now is cut it out and use it on a card, a layout, or whatever else your little heart desires!
This whole thing took me MAYBE 15 minutes... and you just have to wait for the Stickles to dry after that. (You could use an embossing gun to speed up the drying process, but I'd be worried that it would warp the transparency.)
You could also use this same technique with rub ons instead of stamps, pre-printed transparencies like Hambly, or you could print your own designs from the computer onto transparency. Fun stuff!
Don't forget to come register on our new message board! I'd love to see you over there! :)

Inspiration on the GO
When I was cleaning up my scrap space -- I rediscovered this mini journal that came in the extra-credit kit. It is made by Melissa Francis. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I have been coming up with a lot of scrappy ideas when I am on the road or at work. And unfortuneately I more often than not, forget what my fabulous idea was. SO turning this jornal into a "notebook" was just perfect - especially because it was the perfect size to fit in my purse!
I used bits and pieces from the Blue Skies kit and some of the tabs from the Extra Credit kit -- and wah-la -- a really easy project that has already been put to good use!

Y is for You!
I loved these pictures of Emerson taken earlier this fall, and I had no real reason to scrap them than "just because," so I decided to just play with them and focus on the fun of creating a layout. :) I usually try to do some extensive journaling, but today, I was like, "what the heck!" and did one for pure creative playtime.
I cut the large heart free-hand, and then adhered on my own funky scallops made out of the lined Scenic Route paper.
I have been hoarding a few of my favorite bits from this kit- the fun non-scrappy items included in it. Since I was in a playful mood, I decided to go ahead and add 'em to this layout.
These are a few words cut out from the vintage children's book... I thought they expressed Emerson's character at age 3.
The number 8 card turned upside down was perfect for this year, and a number cut out from the vintage children's book matches Emerson's age.
P.S. It's all made from the Homeroom kit! :)

No Stamping Required!
I had some scraps on my table and for some odd reason thought of pumpkins! So I started tearing circles, did some sewing, added some ribbon, a couple of buttons, and my homemade pumpkins were "born." I pulled out some paper from Noel's Ghost Story kit to make the rest of the card. (Only ONE kit left BTW!!! So hurry and grab it!!!) The stamp was an oldie I've owned for quite awhile and the little puffy spider was something I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty pleased with how this card evolved from just some orange scraps...... : )

Witches in the Air
This is a picture of my daughter from a few years ago when she dressed in the same witch costume my mom made for me when I was a girl. I have scrapped this photo of my daughter once before, but when I came across it again I realized I never scrapped the shot of her with her preschool teacher. She wasn't looking at the camera and so I guess at the time I thought it wasn't a good photo. Now I look at it a few years later and could care less that she's not looking, I just love that we caught a picture of her with her fabulous and fun teacher! I decided to make another page so we could include this adorable shot in her scrapbook.
Everything is from the Ghost Story Kit. I did add a bit of orange stickles to the round accents for a bit of Halloween sparkle! :) Don't you just LOVE that SEI paper with the black embossing already on it! Immediate texture without all the work. LOVE that! :D

Halloween Sour Cream Containers
These sour cream containers are nothing new, I have seen them at Splitcoast and other people's blogs. But I figured, why reinvent the wheel? They are cute, functional, and easy to make! So if you have made these in the past, maybe this will inspire you to make them again! If you have never made them....give them a try!
I used Noel's Ghost Story kit to create these cute containers.
Roll paper from short end!
