Lifting Theresa!!!

Photobucket

We are back again today with another member lift!!!  YAY!!!  I saw this layout using the Charm School kit by Theresa Gillman on her blog (sorry I couldn't get the pic larger!!!).  I loved the square photo, sewn strips of patterned paper, and those adorable banners!!!

For my lift I sifted through the fun patterned papers & embellishments in the West Coast kit to scrap this pic of my youngest son and I.

Banners have been a huge trend for awhile now but I actually haven't played with them too much - not sure why because I had such a blast creating one out of the kraft butterflies in the kit.  These were actually meant to attach to stick pins but when I happened to lay them out side by side, I saw banner!!!  I tied the ends of the twine into bows and glued it down across the butterflies.  Then I glued down some of those fabulous My Minds Eye brads in the center of each butterfly.

I liked the circle element above the patterned paper square that Theresa had on her page.  I decided to tuck that adorable pink doily from the kit in and layer it with one of the Echo Park stickers.   As I mentioned above, Theresa stitched across her strips of patterned paper.  Being such a fan of stitching on my layouts, I couldn't help but add in that detail as well :)

I had alot to journal on this page so I created a pocket under the photo where I tucked in a handmade journaling tag.  Here's the front . . .

And here's the back . . .

Thanks so much for inspiring me Theresa!!!!
