scrapping older photos with the beautiful Tea For Two kit

Hello again!

I am excited to share a new project with you today, this time using the brand new and gorgeous Tea For Two kit. There are so many beautiful papers and embellishments in this kit- I wish that I could just sit and scrap for hours and hours and hours with this one.

For today's page I kept the background simple. I used this fun grid paper and then added strips of various patterned papers from the kit to add lots of color and pattern to the page. I used my square punch to trim the edges in a pennant shape but you could easily do that with your scissors as well.

I used both of the paper doilies that came with the kit and added a few bits of the grey lace Maya Road trim that came in the kit. I love that it is self-adhesive!

I also cut a length of the brown twine (love that this is thicker than most twine!) and coiled it around the bottom part of the page and then stapled it in spots to help it hold the shape I wanted. I added a few embellishments here and there. The brown flower tucked under my picture is actually the bottom layer of a pinwheel that I took apart from the kit. I added some cork hearts and enamel shapes to the Crate Paper stickers and used the gold "you are loved" as my page title. I am still loving gold so much!

As for using older photos- do you tend to scrap only current pictures or do you dig back into older ones as well? For this page I wanted a pretty picture to help show off the gorgeous papers and other items in the kit so I went back to this picture of my youngest daughter wearing my favorite dress of hers. She looks like such a little angel girl to me here in this picture and the Tea For Two kit sets it off just right.

So, the moral of the story today is to scrap whatever pictures you like, pull apart embellishments if that is what works for you and have a great time scrapping!

Have a wonderful day!
