{Water Baby} with the "High Five" Kit

Hello friends!  I cannot wait to share this layout with you.  I used the "High Five" Daily Diary Kit and Paper Add-On.  I think there are still a couple of these kits in the store.  This background wave paper is so amazing, I couldn't wait to use it up!  I found these photos of my baby's first time in a pool and knew right away that they would work with this kit.

Now, since I was so anxious to use these Thickers on every layout, I was running out of some very important letters, such as the letter "A".  I wanted to title this layout "Water Baby", so I used the teal letter stickers from last month's kit to spell out "water" and the ombre Thickers to spell out "baby".  I decided to turn a "V" upside down and thought that it read just fine as an "a".  I think it totally works!

All of the cute stickers in this kit were perfect for this layout!  And those orange-red sequins are AMAZING!  Thankfully there are plenty of sequins in the pack and I can use them on lots and lots of future layouts.

I tried to put the stickers in small clusters, overlapping one another, so they packed a punch and looked "grounded".  I also added in some yellow lollies and some teal puffy stickers from the kit to round off the embellishment clusters.

Thank you for stopping by!  I would love to see what summery things you have created with your "High Five" kits on the Noel Mignon Members Facebook page or on Instagram #NoelMignon

You Go Girl: High Five Daily Diary Kit

Hi!  Sarah here with my last layout using the July High Five Daily Diary kit.  This week we are showing you how to use this summer themed kit for layouts that are not about summer.  We are challenging you to think about your supplies in different ways.

This layout is about my daughter's last week of school this past year.  She came home with a ton of awards for her class and for the school.  We were so proud!  I pulled a coral pink piece of cardstock (from my stash) and used 6x6 papers from the kit to build my background.  I love how the purples, pinks and yellows look together.

The "shine" word is also from my stash from Heidi Swapp, I just had to use it on here.  I cut one of the bingo cards from Pretty Little Studio in half and used the top up here and the bottom in the bottom corner.  Great way to stretch your supplies!  I loved the transparent sticker from the Pink Paislee sheet that is definitely summer themed.  This one says "Light It Up" which was great for this layout since I'm talking about her accomplishments.  Washi tape and Pebbles flower stickers from the kit helped pull the top together.

I doubled up the ribbon from the kit to help anchor my photo.  I used another transparent sticker and an Elle's Studio puffy sticker to start off my journaling.

The Thickers from the kit were the perfect size for where I put my title.  Finally, I added some of the Pretty Little Studio sequins to scatter around the whole layout.

I love the colors in this kit and I'm happy we could show you different ways to use these summery supplies to help stretch your supplies.  We can't wait to see what you're making with these kits.  Don't forget to share them in the FB group so we can see!

High Five Times Three

Hello again!

It's almost unbelievable to me that we are almost at the end of another month.

Summer has flown by so quickly.

I've had fun scrapping with our colorful and summery kit, High Five, this month.

I got both kits and have loved being able to mix things up on my projects.

Since our designer challenge this week is to create a layout that does NOT feature summer, I have this page to share:

Background for this photo: One of my girls had a gymnastics meet in Oklahoma City last winter and while we were there I took my two oldest to the NCAA gymnastics meet to see OU compete since we'd had such a great time doing so the year before. My husband stayed at the hotel with the little girls. After the meet was over we decided to just walk back to the hotel and in our journey came across this really cool colorful mural and had to stop and take a picture. Of course!

Because of the colorful nature of the photo I wanted to do something fun on my layout. I had both High Five kits so I decided to use the ribbon from both kits in a fun way. I love the layered look of fringe and ribbon so I went about creating this ribbon background by cutting 8 1/2" strips of ribbon and stapled them to 1" strips of white cardstock. I then layered them on a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock alternating the pink and orange. I really like how it turned out!

I thought the little Bingo cards in the kit were so cute. I layered a couple of those and packaging from one of the embellishments to create a mat behind my photo.

I added strip of washi tape to the top of the page and some cute cardstock butterflies to bring more color to my layout. I bent the butterfly wings to the center and stapled each to my page to give them more dimension. I added a few sequins here and there to the layout.

I really liked the aqua sentiment stickers and that beautiful blue bling tape so I added those to my page as well. I LOVE this kit so much! It was so fun to create with.

Because I've made some extra projects this month I would also like to quickly share those with you. These pages, however, have a very summery feel as the pics were taken on our trip to the beach earlier this month.

Summer Trip Traveler's Notebook

Hi all, Michelle here! Last month I shared some of the prep for my traveler's notebook from our trip to Michigan. I've finished pulling it all together and I love how the High Five and Dive In kits worked together in this traveler's notebook.
I first started pulling together some of the ephemera I picked up on my trip that I wanted to include in the notebook.
As I shared in my last post, I took the traveler's notebook apart because my intention was to attach 2 pages together in the notebook to make to pages a bit stronger.
And then I set to pulling this notebook all together. I went day by day, adding a photo (or couple of photos) printed with my Instax printer and just a few lines of journaling. The embellishing (of course) is the best part!

I always save maps from trips to use in my scrapbooking! I used a couple of the maps I collected on my trip for this TN.

Two for the price of one with the High Five Classic Kit

Hello!  Nicole on the blog today.  I hope you are all having a wonderful summer and using the High Five kits to record all your summer memories.  As much as this kit screams summer it can also be used for things other than those summer pages.  I had a couple of ideas in mind with this weeks DT challenge and decided to show you both ideas.

First off is a page I did for a friend.  Her oldest is heading out on a church mission to New Zealand.  I pulled some of the tropical colors and chipboard elements from the kit to put this together.

I used my Silhouette to cut the title, yellow borders, and New Zealand.

I added a few labels from my stash and everything else is from the kit.

My second layout is of my job as a cake decorator.  I have been there for 17 years and Noel included both a 1 and 7 in my kit this month.  Perfect!  The numbers along with the ice cream paper and chipboard sticker aided in telling my story.

I set up a self timer at my work and snapped the picture of myself frosting cakes.

Don't forget to think outside of the box a little when using the kits.  Often the products can be used for a variety of layouts and projects.

Have you used the kits in a slightly different way?  We would love to see!

Happy Scrapping!

{Daddy's Girl & A Tilt-a-Whirl} with the "High Five" Daily Diary Kit

Hello friends!  It's Meridy here today and I'm working with the "High Five" Daily Diary kit and the Paper Add On.  There are still a few of these beautiful kits in the store!!!  This kit is PERFECT for summer days and the beach, but Noel Mignon kits are so versatile that this week the design team is going to be using our kits to scrapbook pages that aren't necessarily summer themed.  The layout I'm doing today is about my husband and my daughter taking a ride on a Tilt-A-Whirl.

The colors in the kit matched the photos of the tilt-a-whirl just perfectly. I really adore the Thickers that came in the Daily Diary Kit this month...their ombre color is just dreamy! So I had to use them for an EXTRA long title on this layout.

I added a small embellishment cluster near the two areas where I placed my title.

I added a few mist splatters across the page to add just a little more color to the white background paper.  Once I finished my journaling, that wrapped up the layout.  Thank you for stopping by the blog today!  Check back all week to see what other types of "out of the box" layouts the design team creates with this month's kit!

August 2016 Project Life - July High Five Daily Diary Kit

Hi!  Sarah here with a Project Life spread from 2016.  These colors and some of the embellishments went perfectly with some of the pictures I was using.

This is a two-page spread and I loved being able to use all of the colors, including the purple, and have them all go together nicely.

I used the red card and the Thickers along with one of the Pebbles puffy stickers for the title card for the month.

I used three of the 3x4 cards from the kit to hold all of my journaling and a movie ticket stuff.  The transparent month is from Freckled Fawn and is not included in the kit.  A puffy sticker and some of the Pebbles stickers helped finish them off.

I used more Thickers, another flower sticker and some small alphas from my stash to highlight my daughter and I reading the new Harry Potter illustrated book.

To start the second page, it was back to school time!  The "#Awesome" card was perfect for my daughter's first day of school pictures.

A few little goodies including a sweet email from a YouTube subscriber and a label from a beer I enjoyed helped to fill in some of the slots.

To conclude the spread, a movie ticket and my nametag from a bible study I really enjoy along with stickers and a bingo card help to pull it all together.

I have really been enjoying catching up on my Project Life pages using Noel's kits.  I hope you enjoyed it and please show us what you're making with your kits this month!

Summer Ball

Do your kids play summer sports? My son is playing summer baseball right now so I thought I'd create a pocket page documenting that along with the summer camps that he's gone to using the High Five Daily Diary Kit
Obviously I stayed away from the pinks in this kit but other than that this kit was perfect for that summery feel for my pages!

I also added just a couple stickers from the Dive In Classic Kit.
