Hoo HOO!!!

Ghost Sories is a pehnomenal kit. I am totally digging the Pink Paislee that is in it. What i love is that this doesn't have to be just Halloween paper. here i used it for just an everyday layout of my kids. It is rare that i catch them both together in front of the camera and in a good mood. So i had to seize the opportunity as anyone would ;) I added some stickles and a ribbon to the owls for a cute girly bow. The MM journaling noteworthy is from my own stash as well as the brackets and the b&w 7 gypsies paper

A little more Blue Skies

While going through my pictures -- I found these 2 gems -- they were taken a while ago and both girls were younger -- while they are not perfect technically (they were from my point and shoot) - they reminded me of how much Alyson misses Lily - and this layout came together.

I used almost all the pattern papers that were in the kit - LOL! But that is a testament to how well the kits are put together. I am sorry for the poor photo -- hopefully will get to fix that later.

All items came from the Blue skies kits except various brads and the copper alphas -- those were from my own stash!

Colorful, Happy Cards

I just love these bright blues, greens, and yellows together! I think they make you feel so cheerful and happy- great for little cards.
(Everything from the Homeroom Kit except for the star stamp in the last card)

I Cherish Us

It is amazing how the years fly by! This was a picture taken of my hubby and I. We were high school sweethearts, and when we got married right out of college I think a lot of people placed bets that our marriage wouldn't last. Well, I am happy to say, we proved all of them wrong!

I used the gorgeous Blue Skies kit for this LO. (Currently sold out!) The Scenic Route leaves were "naked" chipboard. I used the Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint on them. (Included in the kit too!) With a stiff paintbrush I added some "veins" in the leaves to give them some depth. I used a few rub ons and stickers to create the title.
Isn't this crackle paint the coolest? I finished it off with a couple of felt flowers threaded with a button, ribbon, and floss.

Paper Piecing with Stamps

An easy way to get the paper piecing look without too much work is to put those stamps to work.

I started by picking my stamp and the colors that I would need to "paper piece". Since I picked a candy corn stamp - I picked white, orange, and yellow cardstock.

I then stamped the image on each sheet of cardstock with the same black ink.

I then chose for my " base" to be the white cardstock paper. So I cut out the orange and yellow secions of the cady corn. After I simply adhered them to the white paper - leaving the whit tip the same.

I then cut all the images out (this step can be skipped - it just depends on your design) and adhered them with pop dots on a little tag that I made to add to a Halloween gift.

This is really easy and simple and allows you to use your stamps a little differently -- hope you enjoyed it!

*Here is a layout where I simply added to the strip of stammped images -- the only cutting was the layering that I did!

There is only 1 Scenice Route Salem Line paper pack left in stock.

I must confess out of all the Halloween lines this one by far was my favorite.
So much so that i used every bit of it up except for all the stickers and a few chipboard pieces that came with it. I ran out of paper and was still on a roll so i resorted to cutting the packaging where they had samples of the strips. LOL!

My Favorite (Blue Skies Kit)

I did this one with papers from the Blue Skies kit. I added a few extras, some older Heidi Swapp letters, tiny MM letters, Grungeboard shape and I am still making little flowers with my new favorite punch from Martha Stewart. :) TFL!
