A Roundup!

You guys, I am so sad. It's time to move on from my beloved Tea for Two kit, and embrace the new Early Autumn kit. Which is totes adorbs (ha!) but sometimes you just get attached, ya know?

So to honor my favorite kit of all time, I thought I would do a little roundup of the projects I did with it.

I have to say, after focusing so much on Project Life style layouts for so long, it was so fun to tackle these more traditional layouts that I will be adding in to my Project Life album.

To get all geared up for the Early Autumn kit, I did a little Pinteresting and found some inspirational ideas that I plan to turn into projects for myself. Noel's Pinspiration Monday board is also a great place to get a little nudge in the right direction too, if you're looking for one ;)

I have had a blank six-pane vintage window sitting on the ledge in my living room for almost three months, just waiting for a little dress-up, and this cute little vintage window gave me a little inspiration for an Autumn-ee themed banner. Or maybe a few, draped perfectly over the window. Can't wait to tackle that one!!

This is a project I made a few years ago, and I am inspired to bring it back to new life with this kit!

And then there's this cutie. You could totally do so many different versions of it with the kit. Or even turn it into a dream catcher, instead. Now THAT sounds yummy!

This could be a fun Cameo project, too!

And here's my favorite pin from Noel's Pinboard yesterday! LOVE the color combo, and the rustic twine. So totally fall, just in a different color scheme!

That's all for me today! Here's another peek at the Early Autumn kit, in case you're interested.

AND DON'T FORGET! The next term is opening up for new subscribers starting October 1st! Sign up for a 6 month term, so that you can be sure to get all the goodness that Noel packs into these amazing kits each month. Don't miss out!

Happy Day at the Apple Orchard

Have you received your "Early Autumn" kit yet? WHAT?! You haven't?! Quick, there's only one left! You do not want to miss out on this beautiful kit!

I got to play with it this weekend and oh my. It's exactly as its name describes: perfect for Early Autumn! Last week, my littlest and I went on a field trip with some homeschooling friends to a local apple orchard and I got so many cute pics, I just had to scrap our excursion.

I used some brads and a tree cut from the October Afternoon paper to make a little apple tree accent.

I love how well these My Mind's Eye rub ons went on... since I used a larger photo as an accent, it was the perfect "pop" on top of it.

I hope you have a wonderful week- we're starting my favorite month of the year!

Scraplifting: Lynn Kopas!

I got the privilege of scraplifting Lynn Kopas this week. And she's got some amazing inspiration to choose from, but I chose to scraplift this layout by Lynn.

I used my Tea for Two kit to create this layered layout of my 2 girlies with one of their neighbors and best friends. I recently found their secret club notebook while I was cleaning up their room. It was so sweet. I'm looking forward to watching these 3 grow up together.

I chose to layer several of the Crate Paper sheets that came in Tea for Two. I used the inspiration of the slide more as an embellishment instead of around my photo because of its size. I also got inspiration from Lynn's use of arrows, which I included at the top left as well as in my title work.

Be sure to upload your layouts to the Noel Mignon Members board and you may see your creations scraplifted too!  Thanks for the inspiration Lynn!

Happy Friday everyone!

You've been scraplifted!!

I hope you have all been enjoying our member lift week! It has been so fun to see how we were inspired by the amazing projects that YOU all share with us!

The member I chose is some one who I am continuously wowed by! Her layouts are always so gorgeous, and her photos are fabulous! She is, in my mind, the queen of 2-pagers! Can anyone guess who I chose?? Meridy Twilling!! I think you are amazing, and was so honored to be inspired by you for this challenge!
I was honestly, a little intimidated, but I picked one of my favorite layouts of hers, and just went to town with it! I stayed very closer to her design, I loved it and was so inspired by it, but I tweaked it a little to make it mine...and I only chose to lift one side of her gorgeous two page layout!

This is her layout that I chose:

Here is my version of the left side of her layout, also using the Tea for Two kit!

We hope you all are enjoying this week, and hope you'll continue to share your work to inspire us!!

The new Early Autumn classic kit is still available, you can pick yours up here!!

Early Autumn Daily Diary Kit Reveal Video!

That's right, it's reveal day!! Here is the super adorable and fabulous Early Autumn Daily Diary kit. If you're not already a subscriber, be sure to snatch one up as soon as you can - these little babies are HOT!

Pardon the sound of the dryer in the background! Although I couldn't even hear it, the camera sure could! But you KNOW that with a baby about to wake up, there was NO WAY I was gonna redo it! I know you mamas will understand! ;) Oh, and the messy desk. Pardon that, too.

Happy Thursday!

Lift Challenge: Jackie George!

Hi all! This week we've been scrap-lifting member layouts, and I picked Jackie George to lift!
Here is her layout:

I love the strips and all the scattered sequins! Also, I love the little clusters of embellies around the photos - so cute!

For my take on this layout, I used the Tea for Two kit. This has been my very favorite kit to date. And as I sit here writing this, I know my new Early Autumn kit is "out for delivery" and will be on my doorstep in just a few hours. And I'm so excited to crack that little baby open! But I must say, I am so sad to move Tea for Two out of it's little special spot on my desk for current kits. Sad indeed. So sad that I might not. I might just have to keep pulling from that one for a while...

But I digress.

We are here for a scraplift, and here it is!

I copied all the strips Jackie used - a great way to get rid of scraps, by the way! I just notched the ends and stitched them onto the base. This added a whole lotta dimension just right there!

Then I added a couple of cards from my Daily Diary kit as a background for the photos. From there I just kept layering and layering, trying to stay true to where Jackie had her layers and clusters around her photos.

This is kind of  an unofficial title. It's in a different cluster than Jackie has hers, but I just couldn't find the perfect thing for a title in that spot. I love how these two pieces sit above the stitched pieces, and the confetti fell so nicely around them. How perfect is it that the card pack in the Daily Diary kit had that cute little envelope of confetti?! Lucky me!

I had to steal a couple of little things from my stash - this "love this" sticker from the Shimelle sticker pack, a little type-written sticker, and the "remember" is from a roller stamp I got a million years ago. I love the look of stamping off!

The last little cluster Jackie had was at the top right of the page. I just cut down a tag from the kit, layered a couple of stickers, and stitched the whole thing to the page. Easy peasy.

And that's my scraplift! Thanks for the inspiration, Jackie - love your layout!
Have a great HUMP DAAAAAAY everyone!

Scraplifting: Sara Andrews!

This week, the design team are all scraplifting members of our NoelMignon facebook community! We LOVE to see your work, and it inspires us, so this week, we are highlighting some recent favorites!

This summer, we had a "Summer Cruise" Crop, and Sara Andrews posted this lovely layout for one of our challenges.

I scraplifted it with this "Coffee Talk" layout with the Tea for Two kit.

I always enjoy how scraplifting helps me to think about my creative process a little differently. I had fun doing the layers and tucking things in to a specific focal point on the page in Sara's style. I even tried to do similar colors of peach/coral and yellow on my matting!

When's the last time you scraplifted someone? Give it a try! It's a fun new way to think out of your creative box!

Member scraplift // MaryAnn Dixon Metcalf

Good Monday morning! This week the the DT members are picking someone to scraplift and I chose MaryAnn Dixon Metcalf and this layout that she submitted during our crop cruise:

I love the idea of using a huge title & that's what drew me to this page.

And here's my take on her layout:

You can see that I stuck with the basic design of her layout, just changing up the color scheme & adding a few additional journaling stickers next to my photo.

I used my Silhouette to create the large title (font is Impact). I added some inking around the edged & also some stitching with my sewing machine.

I also added a smaller photo alongside the main photo. This layout design worked great for me since I didn't have a whole lot of photos or journaling for my daughter's volleyball camp she attended this past summer.

I used the Tea for Two classic kit for this layout.

Be sure to check back this week to see if one of your layouts was picked to be scraplifted by the design team!

Hello Happiness

Happy Saturday! I am here to show you my latest layout using the Tea For Two kits, with Noel's latest Pinspiration Board! Every Monday, Noel will be pinning lots of inspirational photos over on her Pinterest Inspiration Monday board, so be sure to check it out!

 This is my inspiration piece:

I love everything about it. Love love love.

Now, usually I don't use pink when scrapping about my son. It just feels a little odd. Call it gender stereotyping if you want, but there's just something about him that is so anti-pink. BUT. This layout is going into MY album, which is the very essence of pink and girly, and so very Tea for Two, that I couldn't resist pinking up these cute photos of him. And I looooove how it turned out!

I used my Cameo to cut out a couple of feathers that I stitched onto the page.

I threw on a couple more butterflies, that I just happen to have on the brain from my last layout and used the rubons to make some fake stitching down the center of the large one.

This layout has quite a few layers to it. I generally go with a white background on all of my layouts, but I loved that the polka dot on this one was subtle, and just enough green to neutralize the amount of pink I slathered around. I used lots of bits and pieces from both of the kits. LOVE those wooden heart stickers! I happened to grab a pad of 6x6 foiled vellum a few weeks ago, and I couldn't resist the gold foil heart sheet! I HAD to add that in!

This layout was supposed to be titled, "Boing!" because of the stuffed giraffe he's holding. It literally makes this loud and crazy boooooooiiiiiiinnnnggggg!!!! So naturally, he bangs it as hard as he can against the ground over and over and OVER again. Loves that thing. Anywho... "Boing!" looked really weird as a title, so I grabbed this wood veneer and did a little Gelato painting on it. Kind of an ombre effect. And for my first try at it, I'm pretty happy.

And that's all for me today! Be sure to check out Noel's Pinspiration Monday Board next week for more fun stuff!
