"At the Patch" a Golden Delicious "Classic Kit" Layout

Today I would like to share a layout with you using the Golden Delicious Classic Kit.

Each year, I want to document our annual trip to our favorite pumpkin patch, and this month's kit had the perfect combination of colors for my photos from our 2014 trip...

I have a confession here...I may (or may not) have been known to dress my kids/family in coordinating outfits, or colors that I think with coordinate with our activity----just so they are a little easier to scrapbook.  Sometimes it's really helpful when I sit down to scrapbook the photos, because the colors don't clash!!!  For example, although these photos were taken a year ago, they match this month's "Golden Delicious" kit colors.

I adore this Maya Road fabric trim that came in this month's kit as well as the Echo Park washi.  When I used them together they have a nice contrast and balance one another out.

The variety of embellishments in this month's kit rocks (as usual) everything from cut aparts, puffy stickers, sequins, brads, and even coordinating ink!!!  It all works together for a balanced embellishment cluster with variety and texture.

I used a strip from the Carta Bella "Fall Blessings" border strip and cut it into pieces for my journaling.  Super simple and cute!

Thank you for visiting the Noel Mignon Blog today.  Subscriptions for January-June of 2015 are open for another 4 days (until Nov 15, 2015).  If you want a spot, hurry and sign up before it's too late---you will love the kits every month!!!

See you next week!!!

"Fall Traditions"- Documenting the Changing Seasons

Let me start out by saying, I live in the desert.  There are not 4 seasons here.  Although it doesn't feel like fall here in the desert, I LOVE the idea of "autumn", so I do my best to find fall activities for my family to attend---even if it is still 99 degrees outside.  One of my favorite fall traditions is to visit a pumpkin patch.  This past year our Girl Scout troop visited the patch together.  I think the Blue Moon Classic Kit colors and embellishments are the perfect match to my photos from this day.

I really loved the Pink Paislee ephemera that came in the Blue Moon Daily Diary kit this month so much, that I ordered an ephemera pack from the Noel Mignon Store in addition to my Classic Kit.  I added a few bits and pieces of the ephemera throughout my layout.

I also adore the Pink Paislee puffy stickers that were in this month's kit, puffy stickers bring me right back to the 2nd grade and remind me of my old sticker books!!!  I had to use them right away, and I bet I will blow through the whole pack within 1-2 more layouts.  But isn't that the point of these cute supplies?!?

Another favorite from this month's kit is the triangle print acetate by Pink Paislee.  I like transparencies because they add another layer---but allow you to enjoy the layers and papers below it as well---too much fun!

If scrapbooking the "Changing Seasons" seems like fun to you, be sure to join us next week on the blog and our Members Facebook Page for our On-Line Fall Harvest Crop.  It's going to be jam packed with fun fall challenges!

Early Autumn Cards

Hey all! Happy Tuesday!
Today I wanted to show you a couple of cards I made with the Early Autumn kits. This week's theme over here is "Autumn Activities" so I thought I would make some birthday cards in honor of my mother-in-law's birthday that is today!

For the first little guy, I used a kraft base, cut down to fit the 3x4 card in the center. I attached the banner die-cut with pop dots, and hot glued a little twine bow there at the top, and added the "happy" stickers over the pennants. I added another pennant sticker at the top, and borrowed that MME wood heart veneer from a past kit. LOVE them!

For this pretty little lady I cut  card base from the yellow cardstock in the classic kit and then cut the grey 6x6 paper down to 6x4. I cut out the 4x6 journaling card from the cutapart page in the DD kit and used my paper trimmer to cut out 1/4 of an inch from the 6" side. I disguised the seam with the grey diagonal ribbon, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite things on earth! I cut the flower pitcher from the other cutapart sheet and pop-dotted it over the ribbon. Then I just added one of those cute little flowers in the DD embellie bag, and stamped a cute birthday-type saying at the bottom. This is definitely a simpler design than I usually gravitate to, but when you're designing a card for a specific person, it's good to keep their style in mind.

And now I'm off to fill in the inside of this pretty thing and get ready for a fun day ahead!
Hope you all are having some fun Autumn Activites, too!
