Halloween Camp!

Every year, my daughter and I are invited to spend the day at a friend's campground. The campground hosts a Halloween party and the kids dress up, trick or treat at each camp site, and participate in a costume contest. It is a lot of fun! The girls really enjoy being together and it gives us moms a chance to chat! My daughter is the Lil' Mermaid. I used Noel's Ghost Story kit for this LO! I love this kit because it always contains unusual items. (The prescription bottle's label in this LO!) It is really a fun kit! (Hurry because there are only 3 left!)

Halloween Memories

Are you getting excited for Halloween? I am! I LOVE October! It is my favorite month! I love the crisp Fall air, the pumpkin patches, the costumes, the silly decorations, the orange and black, and all the anticipation of the upcoming candy-gathering! Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year!

Halloween also brings up a lot of memories for me. When I was little, we would ALWAYS go and visit my Grandma before trick-or-treating so that she could see us in our costumes. Now that I have children we take them to see my grandparents before nightfall. It just wouldn't feel right if we didn't! :D




Recently, my dad gave me these pictures of my kids and their cousins a few years ago that he had taken at my Grandma's house. I couldn't help but smile and knew immediately that I would use the Ghost Story kit to scrap them.

This layout was done in memory and honor of our friend Aleida Franklin.
The wings are from my stash and it is the grungeboard wings and i used book paper and mod podged over them; let dry and then ran them through my cuttlebug with the swirls embossing folder, sanded them a bit and then added some distress ink in peeled paint

Back 2 School

Wow - September was such a blur and I can't believe it is October already. Well even though September is over - it was a busy month for us. One of the moments I look forward to the most is my daughter's back to school night. I love taking a peek into her world and talking to her teacher. I ALWAYS take my camera - and of course I had to scrap them! The papers from the Blue Skies kit was just perfect for them!

And this one -- well I did it just for fun. I hardly wear my glasses - and I thought a layout was in order - LOL!

There are so many things that you can do with this kit and I am loving every single bit of it!

Here's a little something I made with the Homeroom kit. Have I said how much I looooooooooove this kit?! I have a ton of stuff left in there, including the so-cute page from a children's vintage storybook, which I have big plans for!
