Sketch Time!!!

Hi there everyone!!! Today I come to you with my very first
project/challenge post which I am very excited about.
I created this page using the Sun-Kissed Kit(sold out) and
then created a sketch based on my page.

Here is the lovely sketch! I wanted it so where everyone
can put as little or as much on to the page. I LOVE layers
so I layered my page up!!! Shuffle it, mix it, play with it and
see how it inspires you.
Please be sure to share your brilliant creations with us! We
love seeing your creations. See you soon!!!

Quick Tip!

Do you have a Thicker addiction like I do? Do you stay up at night wondering how to store them? Have you been disappointed by all of your past solutions because they really don't solve anything? Well, dear friends, fear no more!!

Here is a solution given to me by an awesome friend back home! This is just a file box I found at Wal-Mart, but I'm pretty sure they are at Target, too. They had them in yellow, too, but good ol white just works best for me. Believe it or not, there are 72 packs of Thickers in there, and I'm pretty sure I could comfortably fit another 10 or 15.

This thing is awesome! I have seriously tried, like, 20 different ways of storing these bad boys, and now I am finally satisfied. I can take them all with me to crops so much easier this way and have big plans to decorate the bejesus out of the box!

Whose Thickers are they? MY THICKERS!!

Seasonal tips

Hi Everyone!! Today I am going to talk to you about Seasonal LOs! :D Now know that I do not normally do these because holidays are just so hard to do for me! And I have heard that it is the same for a lot of people. So I know I am not alone! :D

I decided for my seasonal LO here to just use the colors of the season instead of doing a LO about that particular season. I thought this was much easier. :D The picture is from the fall, and all the colors remind me of fall, but I didn't have to say anything in my journaling about the fact that it was fall. Instead the journaling relates to something very different. I chose to talk about the way my daughter has made me feel as a person, because she has changed me so much and made me a much better person. :D

I used the Lemonade Stand kit here (sorry Sold Out!), and it actually had so many wonderful fall colors in it! The picture I chose is not actually from the moment I felt independent, but I really like this picture of my daughter and me.

Well I hope you all thought this was a little easier way to scrap those seasonal photos! For me at least it made it not quite so daunting, having to use seasonal supplies and themed things, instead just go with colors and what makes you happy! :D

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Using the Kit: Journaling Tags as Flowers

I created this layout for the White Space Challenge on the challenge blog and the result is completely out of my element. I think it's good for me as a designer to experiment with different styles and ideas. Today, I wanted to show you another use for the journaling tags that were included in the Sun-Kissed kit.

I layered my journaling tag with several of the bright, glittered flowers, a button and tied it off with some twine. I love the scalloped edges of the tag and thought it would make a great flower.

The rest of my layout is fairly simple using the American Crafts chipboard thickers in the kit and the ribbon I tied off to highlight one of my photos.

I loved mixing it up a little and using an embellishment in a different way. Hope you are enjoying playing with your bright, summery Sun-Kissed kit! Noel's August kit will be available on July 15th!
