Challenge layout!

So, I challenged the design team this week to come up with a layout based on one of the sneak peek images from the kits. I know this would REALLY stretch us outside of the box and might be a fun way to look at some of the products in a new way.

This was the sneak peek image I chose, based on the Something Wicked kit (there's still a few left if you want to grab one in time for Halloween!).

And here's the layout I made from it! The only thing I added was the cardstock for the background. All the papers are the fronts and backs of the patterned papers that are shown in the peek. I didn't have as much of the paper as I wanted to in order to create a mat around the photo block, so I cut strips and laid them haphardly around the back of it. I like the way it turned out!

Come join us in the fun! I'd love to see your take on it!

Merry Not Scary & Spooky Cards

Hello, friends! Today I have a new layout to share with you using the "Something Wicked" kit. At our house, Halloween is "Merry, Not Scary" and this layout celebrates that!

I punched these circles from patterned paper and cut a few of them in half as well as used a My Mind's Eye layered brad.

I cut the spider from the American Crafts "Night fall" patterned paper and stacked a My Mind's Eye layered brad and We R Memory Keepers chipboard tag.

I printed and cut a couple of my photos to look like Polaroids and then tied them off with twine and the girls' initial with Authentique Paper mini stickers.

And finally, today I have what I created for the "Sneak Peek Challenge" over on the challenge blog. Here's the peek I used:

and here are the spooky cards I created. Everything came from the peek except I did add twine and cardstock.

See you all next week!

A Little Halloween Inspiration

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you have had a chance to check out the current challenge that is up on the Challenge Blog. It's a fun one!

I chose this sneak of the Something Wicked kit as inspiration for my layout.

I liked the label from the Fancy Pants paper. This became the main focus of my layout. I hardly ever create a layout about myself so I also challenged myself to create a me layout.

I hope this will help you to be inspired to join us in the challenge. Happy creating!

A Quickie!

That's right friends, this is a super quick project and post!
I've been in a very gift-giveee mood lately, and I keep finding myself making cards and bags and tags and all kinds of containers. So for this new challenge over at the Challenge Blog I decided to make a gift bag. I used this sneak from the Study Hall kit:

And this is what I made with it:

It's just a very simple gift bag with a greeting card stuck to the front of it. Gotta love that MME burlap and that yummy Jenni Bowlin paper. Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog and join in the fun!

And be double sure to join in on your chance to win an awesome kit from Noel! So easy and soooooo fun!!

I mean, come on, you know you waaaaaaaant it!!

Happy Scrappin'!!

New challenge!

There is a new challenge up today!
And this is a fun, different one than some we have done in the past.
The challenge is to take one of the sneak peeks that Noel has posted for any of her kits and use it to inspire a layout.
Cool, huh!?!
OK so here is the sneak from the Study Hall kit I used...

{and I kind of used this one too}

And this is the layout I made!
{everything here is from the Study Hall kit}

I mean, I pretty much just wanted to use that uber-cool burlap!
:)
So join in and play along with this fun challenge!
Link your layouts up here and/or post them here.
Have a great week!

Trail Ride and School Days

Happy Sunday friends! I have a few LO's to share with you today! The first one is a lift of a LO I saw over on the Crate paper blog a few days ago. Over on the MB we decided we would work on it together and this is my version. If you are a MB member then head on over and check our everyone's take on it.
I used a bunch of bits and pieces from older kits. I do have some of these items in stock, so if anything catches your eye and you want to know what it is just ask and I can point you to it. :)

This next LO is done mainly with the Study Hall kit. I saw a sketch by Julie Bonner that caught my eye, so I based this one on her sketch.

I will be back tomorrow with a new challenge over on the challenge blog and a fun contest...so be sure to check back in!
