perfect one

Every year we're in search of the "perfect" pumpkin. We're pretty lucky in that we live in an area that has lots of farms. The farm we go to every year for our pumpkins is huge so there's a lot to choose from! Sometimes we go with an idea in mind of what we want to carve, sometimes not. You'll notice my son picked out a green pumpkin...he went to the farm knowing that's what he wanted :)

Either way, it's a yearly tradition that's a lot of fun!

I had a lot of fun playing with the Early Autumn kit for this layout and I can't wait to create more projects! It's the perfect mix of colors and I just love it!

I also do Project Life or pocket page scrapbooking which I have found alleviates a lot of the stress of including every.single.photo from an event on a scrapbook page.

On this one, for example, I just included one of each of my kids because I know that I will also include photos & journaling of this day in my Project Life album. So it will be well documented! I will also probably use different photos in my PL album that I used in this layout which gives me the opportunity to use more of the photos I've taken.

Pumpkin picking

I love fall!

At our house fall is full of fun activities- apple picking, going to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, making apple butter and pumpkin pancakes, football games, gymnastics meets and lots of family togetherness.

For my layout today I scrapped some pictures from a trip to a local pumpkin patch using the Early Autumn kit:

Fall to me is warm and cozy like a sweater. This woodgrain paper feels cozy to me so I used that as the background for this grid of pictures. I made each pic small to fit as many as I needed to on the page. They are slightly smaller than wallet-sized.

I cut the "pumpkins" title from a piece of patterned paper in the kit.

I used the Mister Huey spray from the kit as well as some Mister Huey white mist. I also added a couple of white doilies from my stash and lots of stickers and tags from the Fancy Pants True Friend line. I also added some cute Chickaniddy label stickers as accents and a journaling spot.

What activities do you enjoy in the fall?

Make sure to share with us at the Noel Mignon Facebook group.

Also, kit subscriptions are open NOW for the next term so head on over to the ship (click on the link above) or go here  to get signed up. Noel's kits are packed with papers, stickers and other embellishments each month. Instead of a main kit and add-ons, Noel puts it all in one kit giving you an amazingly packed kit each and every time.

Early Autumn Cards

Hey all! Happy Tuesday!
Today I wanted to show you a couple of cards I made with the Early Autumn kits. This week's theme over here is "Autumn Activities" so I thought I would make some birthday cards in honor of my mother-in-law's birthday that is today!

For the first little guy, I used a kraft base, cut down to fit the 3x4 card in the center. I attached the banner die-cut with pop dots, and hot glued a little twine bow there at the top, and added the "happy" stickers over the pennants. I added another pennant sticker at the top, and borrowed that MME wood heart veneer from a past kit. LOVE them!

For this pretty little lady I cut  card base from the yellow cardstock in the classic kit and then cut the grey 6x6 paper down to 6x4. I cut out the 4x6 journaling card from the cutapart page in the DD kit and used my paper trimmer to cut out 1/4 of an inch from the 6" side. I disguised the seam with the grey diagonal ribbon, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite things on earth! I cut the flower pitcher from the other cutapart sheet and pop-dotted it over the ribbon. Then I just added one of those cute little flowers in the DD embellie bag, and stamped a cute birthday-type saying at the bottom. This is definitely a simpler design than I usually gravitate to, but when you're designing a card for a specific person, it's good to keep their style in mind.

And now I'm off to fill in the inside of this pretty thing and get ready for a fun day ahead!
Hope you all are having some fun Autumn Activites, too!

Together

Hello Friends!! Today I have a journal/mini album to share with you using the Early Autumn classic kit.

I don't know about all of you, but fall is my favorite time of year! I love everything that comes along with the changing season, but I also love all of the family activities we do during this season. We make so many memories every year during this time, and I thought it would be a fun idea to make an album where they were all kept together.

My plan, is to use this from now through the end of November, and carry it on every year until it is full. I also have plans of having the kiddos contribute lots to it, with drawings and favorite things about this time of the year.

Today, I am going to share the cover with you, and my plan is to share it along the way as I fill it with memories!

This leaf paper was one of my favorites from the kit, and thought it would make the perfect cover paper. Then using a tag from my stash, I layered in lots of little goodies from this kit, and a few items from some past kits.
I layered items such as the fussy cut leaves for some added dimension, but I did keep this fairly flat, as my hope is for it to be pulled out, looked through, and loved often!

So excited to start filling this book! :)

This kit is currently sold out, but our next term of subscriptions is now open!! Head over here and sign up for yours today, so that you don't have to miss out on another one of these amazing kits!!! :)

Full of Possibilities

Hi there friends! Today I've titled my post Full of Possibilities for 2 reasons. First, I used the Early Autumn kit for my project today, and this kit is DEFINITELY full of possibilities. I'm a sucker for a good Fall-ish kit, but this one takes the cake. Really. The oranges, yellows, teals, and grays have stolen my heart. I absolutely adore this kit.

The second reason this blog post is entitled "full of possibilities" is because I used the Fancy Pants sticker with that sentiment as the focus of my notebook and built around that.

I love the fall so much that each year I enjoy creating a Fall journal to capture my thoughts, our family memories, and quick snapshots I may take along the way. Using the Early Autumn kit I recovered a generic composition notebook with patterned paper, ruffled a ribbon down the side "seam" where the paper meets the binding, and then added the library pocket and embellishments.

I'm super excited to get start my journal this year. And I love this kit, which is sold out. If you don't want to miss out on fabulous kits like this one, be sure to sign up for a subscription. They're on sell now in the store. Go sign up for yours now!

Thanks so much for letting me share! Happy Friday friends!

Being With You

Hello friends! Today I have a layout to share with you using the "Early Autumn" kit ( which is currently sold out). This kit is full of beautiful fall colors and tones.

For my page, I started out with this gorgeous Chickaniddy Crafts paper for my background, and I loved it so much, that I really wanted it to stand out and be seen. I chose two smaller wallet sized photos, and off centered them just a bit, and then worked in embellishments around then in a messy grid style.

I didn't layer much on this layout, I really wanted each piece to stand on its own! It's a different scrapping technique for me, but I love the finished product, and how everything surrounds and draws you back to the photos.

The My Mind's Eye rub ons included in this kit were the perfect bits of finishing touches, and they went on so smoothly!

If you are not currently a subscriber, and missed out on this fabulous kit, you are in luck! Our next term of subscriptions just went up, so don't miss out on another one! Head over here, and sign up for your today!!!

lots of embellishments and the Early Autumn kit

Happy October!

I am happy to be with you here on the blog today to share my first project using the October kit, Early Autumn:

This kit is full of so many fun embellishments and I used quite a mix on my page.

I started off with a patterned paper background on white cardstock and added some of the Mister Huey spray mist. I cut narrow strips of patterned paper and added them to the striped My Mind's Eye paper.

I added lots and lots of embellishments- epoxy shapes, Fancy Pants tags and chipboard, buttons, stickers and the cute gray foam Thickers for my title.

For my journaling I used a gold Uniball Signo pen that you can find in the store here.

I also used some of the white rub-ons that came in the kit- they come off so smoothly! I love them!

This beautiful kit is sold out already (yay!) so if you don't want to miss out on future kits you should know that the new term for subscriptions opens today!

Head to the Noel Mignon store to sign up now!
