NoelMignon Daily Diary Pool Party: Vintage Road Trip

Hello! I'm Michelle Zerull. I'm thrilled to be sharing my first project with you as a new NoelMignon Design Team member. This months Daily Diary Pool Party Kit has an abundance of Summer papers and embellishments to create with. Many of the illustrations have a fun, retro vibe, so I created a Pocket Page using my vintage travel photos and ephemera.
I am fond of fussy cutting and enjoyed clipping images and creating unique, new cards. These new inserts could be used with any contemporary photos just as easily as the vintage photographs.
Mixing patterns and creating fun textures gave the cards instant visual interest.

I adore the puffy clouds. They're irresistible!
The various wood grain patterns are gorgeous, too!

I hope that I've inspired you to get out your scissors and create something fun with the July Daily Diary Kit curated by NoelMignon. I'm looking forward to sharing many new ideas and projects in the weeks to come.
Thank you!

Summer Bowling Fun

Sometimes, it doesn't have to be complicated to be a fun layout!

I had so many pictures from going bowling with friends that I wanted to include on this page, I kept the embellishing to a simple minimum (while following the rule of threes- three spots of embellishing) on my layout.

How "fun" is that paper clip?! I think it's so genius!

This was all created by the awesome Pool Party kit!

Chillin' Out with the Pool Party Daily Diary Kit

Hello Everyone. I am Lynn Kopas and I'm beyond thrilled to be joining the fabulous Noel Mignon Design Team! Today I am sharing my first Project Life page using the Pool Party Daily Diary Kit!! This kit is LOADED with summery elements and project life cards making it so easy to create a project life page! I typically create one page per week unless I have a ton of photos from a special event or vacation. I love how bright and summery this kit is! Here's my page.

All the papers and elements in Noel's kits coordinate perfectly together so it's a breeze to create layouts or Project Life pages. I used Photo Pocket Page Design F - one of my favorites as it allows for lots of 3x4 cards or photos. Here's a few close-ups.

The wood veneers, puffy stickers, cardstock stickers, frames and so much more make decorating the PL cards easy and FUN!!

I had fun with the wood veneer sun and added some gold stickles to the tips to give it some shimmer.
Here' a few more close-ups. How cute is the sun journaling card?!
What's a Project Life page without food pics, right?!

Thanks for stopping by and please check back for more inspiration from the Design Team. For all you project lifers, these kits are amazing!! I'll return later this month for another summery PL page!

Lets Go Splash!

Happy Tuesday!!!!
My first project I created with the Pool Party Classic Kit came together in just under 30 minutes.

How gorgeous is that May Arts Teal Sheer Ribbon that comes in the kit?!!!

To created the pink dots on my background, I used both the Memento Rose Bud Ink and the Shimelle Camera Stamp that came in the kit. First I stamped some of the ink onto my Tim Holtz Craft Mat, then dipped my paint brush into water and mixed it onto the ink. Next I painted the "dots" on the camera stamp, then stamped it onto my page

For the clouds, I cut them out of the October Afternoon Puffy Clouds Paper, then used some Cotton Candy Gelato from my stash to stamp the dots on, and edge the clouds with.

I added lots of layering to this layout to created texture

The moment I saw the awesome pineapple wood veneer from Pink Paislee I knew I was going to paint it with Gold & Lime Gelatos!

I hope I have inspired you to create a fun, summer layout with this gorgeous kit!!

summer fun

I started playing with the new Pool Party kit this week and man is it fun!! Between the great papers, chipboard & puffy stickers, summer flair, wooden accents, etc there's just so much packed into this kit to make loads of projects!!

I had to do my first layout from the pics I took of the kids last week at the pool. We have had hot, hot, HOT temps here (90s & past 100) so a pool day was definitely in order last week!

I went with my 'go to' style which was a grid with the 4 photos I had cropped to approx. 2.5" and then accented around them with all the great embellies from the kit!

Using the great kits that Noel puts together it's easy to create a layout in no time!!

Pool Party Daily Diary & Pocket Pages!

Hello everyone! I am Lindsay Bateman and I am SO thrilled and excited to be joining the Noel Mignon Kit Club family and designing with their fabulous kits!  I can tell already how amazing of an opportunity this is going to be.  I had SO much fun creating my first official pocket page spread with the Pool Party Daily Diary kit.  I cannot wait to create more...which will be so easy considering just how jam packed these kits are! Jaw dropping!

I really wanted to document my son's first experience at a splash park.  He has been a water baby since the day he was born, so I just knew that he would have such a fun time.  The contents of the Pool Party Daily Diary kit are so perfect in documenting these wonderful summer memories.  I especially loved the variety of the 3x4 cards.  Such beautiful patterns and phrases that were more than perfect to fill my pages.

I loved layering different components of the kit to create my 3x4 pocket cards.

For example, the 'summertime' card consists of a 3x4 card, the summertime die cut (which i stitched on) and a word strip sticker at the bottom.  So fun right?
I also trimmed the 'summertime' 3x4 card diagonally and added it to the bottom left and top right of my spread.  I really love how it brings the story together.  I also love mixing and matching different 3x4 card patterns.

I created this fun page title card using the letter stickers, a puffy sticker and a word strip sticker from the kit.  I absolutely love the '#summertime' sticker.  It is too cute.  I love the ability to make my own 3x4 cards unique and this kit provides so many ways to do just that.  I absolutely loved all of the embellishments.

One of my favourite cards that I created is this one on the top right.  I combined 2 different 3x4 cards (I love the mix of patterns) and then laid a chipboard frame onto a piece of another 3x4 card that I trimmed to fit.  I then laid the cute sun puffy sticker in the middle.  Again, I love the customization here and who doesn't love puffy stickers?

This kit also came with a beautiful array of 6x6 papers.  This fun little grid is one of those papers.  I simply trimmed it off and then stitched it onto a 3x4 card.  The cute little heart clip was the perfect added touch.  Plus I love how it peeks out the top of my album.

Thank you so much for stopping by so I could share my first official Noel Mignon Daily Diary pocket page layout with you all.  I am so excited to share the rest of my layouts with you throughout the rest of this month using the Daily Diary Pool Party Kit.  Stay cool everyone! :)

Keeping Cool in the Pool-Pool Party Classic Kit

I'm so excited to be sharing my first layout as a design team member for Noel Mignon!  This month's "Pool Party" Classic Kit is going to be so much fun!

The kit is perfect for all sorts of pictures, but I figured I would use it for pool pictures right away, how can I resist!?!!

I take a LOT of pictures, and sometimes have a hard time narrowing it down. The past few years, I have created collages (through Picasa), as a solution to that problem.  This way, I can add quite a few pictures to my layouts without making them overcrowded---and there is still plenty of room for pretty papers, embellishments, and journaling.

I like to add layers and texture to my layouts.  I sometimes do that by dry embossing cardstock, as I did with the blue/green strip that I tucked behind the embellishment cluster below.

I actually used 2 alphabets from last month's "Happy Go Lucky" Classic Kit, because the colors and style blended so well with this layout.  I thought the little fan die cut was too cute not to use along side of the title.

I often use the branding strips as added layers, the polka dot strip pictured below is from a Crate Paper branding strip.  Luckily these days, lots of companies have cute branding strips---Crate Paper's are always some of my favorites!  I love when they come in my kits!!!

Thank you so much for joining us today!  I am looking forward to sharing more work in the coming weeks and months here at Noel Mignon Kit Club!!!
