Sweet Moments | Vintage Charm Classic Kit

Welcome to a new week and even better new kits!  Wendy here today to share inspiration using the Vintage Charm Classic Kit.  I began this page with my pictures and the WRMK papers.  I actually created the main layout without any 12x12 pieces.  Once I had what I like to call my "photo block" I went looking for a 12x12 piece to mount my design on.

I finally chose to go with white because I really wanted to use the Heidi Swapp stencil that was included in the kit.  The randomness of the background went well with my thoughts on our boy and it added in a splash of unexpected with the yellow.

I love to fussy cut, so this piece came from the Vintage Charm Daily Details kit.

And a fun grouping of items and my title using both the Classic kit and the Daily Details kit.

Thanks for joining me today, see you next week with more inspiration!

Hello Sea Turtle | Summer Lovin' Classic Kit

Hello scrappers! Laura Whitaker here today sharing my last layout using the Summer Lovin' Classic Kit!  This week the DT was challenged to create a layout with an older vacation photo, and as luck would have it I have a few still waiting to be scrapped from a cruise we took a few years back.

I got the idea that it might be fun to fill a turtle shell with a variety of patterned paper bits, so I modified a cut file that I had previously purchased from the Silhouette store to create an open shell design.  After cutting it out of the bright green cardstock that came in the Classic kit, I started to fill in the shell with a variety of patterns.

Once I adhered the turtle to my page, I added a bit of Gesso and some water color paint effect using the Peacock Feathers Distress Crayon, to create a bit of movement and represent the water that you might find one of these guys in.

I also pierced holes and stitched around the outer edge of the turtle, using some embroidery floss from my stash.

I cut a few clouds out of cardstock for a previous layout and had one left which I added to this page after wrapping it with the Washi tape from the kit.  I love that this adds another fun pattern to my page!

The sun was fussy cut from one of the Elle's Studio cut outs.  I also used a couple of the Elle's Studio labels behind my photo after punching along the edge with a notebook punch.

I used a Jillibean Soup "soup label" and the Amy Tangerine alphas to create my title, adding some stitching just for fun after adhering them to my page.

For a finishing touch, I added lots of puffy stickers and a few chipboard pieces to my layout. And then added in some orange splatters created with a second Distress Crayon.

I had so much fun with the Summer Lovin' Classic Kit and am so looking forward to playing with the August kit

Supply List:  (from the kit) Simple Stories, Imaginisce, Echo Park and Photo Play patterned papers; American Crafts cardstock; Elle's Studio cut outs and puffy stickers; Echo Park Washi tape and chipboard; Tim Holtz Distress Crayon; May Arts ribbon; Amy Tangerine Thickers; Jillibean Soup label; (from my stash) DMC floss; black fine tip Sharpie.

Thanks for visiting!

Oregon Coast

Hey guys, Michelle here and I'm back with a vacation layout to share. We headed to the Oregon coast a few weeks ago and I have tons of photos to scrapbook. I haven't yet decided whether or not I want to create a mini-album, do several traditional layouts, or (the most likely route) do a few pocket pages. But I did decided that I wanted one main vacation page for my scrapbook.
So I pulled out the ever awesome Summer Lovin' Classic Kit to create my page. I love those aqua alphas because there are just so many of them! It's going to take many pages before those run out for sure!
So who's scrappin' vacation photos these days?? Be sure to share in the Noel Mignon facebook group!!

Documenting Week 28 with Summer Lovin'

Danielle here today,
to share with you Week 28 from my Project Life 2016 using the amazing

This weeks Design Team Challenge is
"Vacation Time" - scrapbook your vacation photos. We have not left for our summer vacation yet, so I chose document photos my husband has sent me while he is working in Iqaluit, Nunavut - 2547km away from home!

Here is my process video

In the spirit of the Design Team challenge, I also include a journal card,
called Vacation Plans
Here are some close up photos
I wrote out the title "July" with some of the paper included this month, then fussy cut the letters out and glued them to the date card.
I used some lime green thread this week for stitching, and I just love the pop of colour it add to the spread
So, what are your plans for summer vacation?

Summer Lovin' Kits: Soak Up the Sun

Happy Wednesday! Jana Eubank here. This past week I have been creating projects with a combination of both the Summer Lovin' Classic Kit and Summer Lovin' Daily Diary Kit.

I'll be sharing all of them on my blog over the coming week, so be sure to check in there! Today, I'm sharing a page I created for our design team "Vacation Time" challenge, which was to pull out those neglected vacation photos and get them on paper. Here is what I came up with! (For a process video of this page, scroll to the bottom of this post.)

SOAK UP THE SUN

Every year we go to Lake Powell with my family. We stay on a houseboat for a week and just relax and play in the water. It is magical! However, because it's a yearly tradition ... I tend to neglect scrapbooking those memories. I've been making a focused effort this summer to get as many of them done and in our books as I can.

The color scheme I went with on this page are the juicy, citrus colors of orange, yellow, and lime green. Very summer-y, don'tcha think?!

I love the little rainfall of circles to the left of the title card using the wood veneer circle and Bradz. Especially that adorable smiley face!

The wood veneer sunglasses and camera flair were the perfect icons to accent these photos of the lake.

And how cute is that little crab die cut from Imaginisce. I have LOVED all of the Imaginisce Sunny collection items we got to play with in this month's kits. I couldn't get enough of them!

Here is one last look at my page. If you would like to hear my thought process as I created this page, be sure to check out the process video below.

Have a great week!

Staycation with Summer Lovin' Daily Diary Kit!

Hello Bloggers, Lynn here with my final project life page using this month's Summer Lovin' Daily Diary Kit. I have enjoyed this month's kit -  the colors are so bright and fun and highlight the summer season very well. I'm continuing this week's vacation challenge - scrapping those vaca pics. Like Wendy I didn't have a formal vacation this year so I scrapped some Staycation pics. I used more of the Elle's Studio products so it would be a good match for last week's page. Here's my whole page.
I printed my photos with my Instax printer and stapled them to the cards - I love the cute little polaroids on my pocket pages. Here's close ups of the cards.
All I did with this card was to add a sun cardstock sticker and a decorative brad from Simple Stories for the camera lens. For the next card I added more cardstock stickers and typed the date on the title card.
I typed the journaling this week - sometimes I hand journal, but I gravitate towards typing.

Here's the last few cards. I printed this photo in landscape format to carry over onto two 3 x 4 pocket cards.

We would love for you to join us in this week's challenge. You can post your projects on the Noel Mignon Members Facebook Group page so we can see all your fun vacation pics!!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great week!!

{Vacation Pictures} and the "Summer Lovin'" Classic Kit

Hello Noel Mignon fans!!!  It's Meridy here today, sharing another double page layout I made with the "Summer Lovin'" Classic Kit.  This week the design team is using vacation photos on their layouts.  I choose to do a layout about all of the restaurants we loved while we were on vacation in San Diego a few years ago.

I loved how to bright colors in the photos matched the bright summery paper in this month's kit!

I had so many photos & memorabilia that I wanted to use, such as business cards and menus, so I just choose a few patterned papers and embellishments this time.

One of my favorite parts of this layout is the title, I used one of the Jillibean soup script stickers that says "favorite" then I followed up with the Imaginisce letter stickers for "eats" and "treats".  I used the wood veneer "&" to ties the title together.  I finished the title off with an Elle Studio label and an Echo Park brad.  The journaling block that says "Receipt" is from my stash.

Since I had quite a bit of memorabilia, I really wanted to figure out a way to include it all on my layout.

I decided to make a little envelope out of a piece of patterned paper to hold the menus and business cards from some of favorite restaurants.  To finish off the layout, I attached a photo on the front of the little envelope since I had so many photos I needed to include!

Thank you for stopping by today!!!  I would love to see some of your vacation pictures on the Noel Mignon Members Facebook Page.

Week 49 with Wendy | Summer Lovin' Daily Details kit

Welcome back to the Noel Mignon blog!  Wendy here this morning to issue you a new challenge to help you finish up your kit before your new one arrives.  This week, your challenge is a Vacation Time challenge, pull out a few of those neglected vacation photos and make a point to get them scrapped.  Whose up for the challenge?

Our family hasn't actually been on a vacation in a LONG time, but part of the reason is we live in FL.  Some might think our daily life looks like vacation as we take daily trips to the pool, weekly trips to the beach, and a few visits to the mouse each month.  Course, everyday things happen to like work, school, errands, and a whole lot of heat!

To carry my theme over from last week I incorporated the pink ribbon and teal colors so that my weeks would go well together in my book.

And here is a picture of the complete spread, Week 48 & 49.

Even though it was made separately by tying in colors (teal and red) and elements (the bow, layered stickers, brads) the pages go very well together and tell our everyday story.

So if you are feeling challenged to scrap those Vacation moments (whether far away or close to home), share them on the Noel Mignon FB page, we'd love to see them!

Summer Favorites | Summer Lovin' Classic Kit

Hello friends! It is Laura Whitaker here today sharing a new layout, the DT is challenged with a High 5 theme!  Which translates to using 5 manufacturers on one page or documenting your 5 favourite things about summer.  Weill, I love to combine manufacturers and I am trying to journal more - so I went for a double challenge on my page!

My new favorite thing is kayaking, and so I really wanted to use a photo of me in my kayak to document my favorite things of summer.

From there I wanted to make a super sunshine-y page, so I started with this cut file that I designed - which was cut from American Crafts white cardstock (from my stash) and backed with orange and yellow patterned papers, from the kit.

I knew that I wanted to do a list style journal area for my 5 favs so I did a little embellishing under my photos to tie the journaling and photo together, visually.

These Imaginisce alphas are translucent and look great as a tone on tone accent, plus they are the perfect size for my "list"! My list is not in order of importance, just in order that they fit into the spaces the best.

The word 'favorites' was created using a Jillibean Soup 'soup label' that says "favorite" and piecing an "s" from a second Jillibean Soup 'soup label' onto it.  They were originally a pretty green but not quite the right colour for my page, so I coloured them with a pink permanent marker and then added a glitter effect with a 'clearstar' Gelly Roller pen. It is a little hard to tell in this photo but it is so pretty and shimmery.

I finished off my page by adorning the left edge with patterned paper, brads, labels, ephemera, chipboard and stitching.

I used patterned papers from 5 manufacturers, and embellishments from 5 manufacturers, plus five journal points and that my friends is a big old High 5 triple threat!

Supply List: (from the kit) Simple Stories, Elle's Studio, Imaginisce, Echo Park, and Photo Play patterned paper; America Crafts cardstock in Geyser; Maya Road resin flowers; Imaginisce alphas; Jillibean Soup "soup label"; Elle's Studio Jonah labels; Imaginisce ephemera; Freckled Fawn wood chips; Echo Park brads and chipboard; (from my stash) America Crafts cardstock in white; Clearstar Gelly Roller; pink Bic permanent marker; black fine tip Sharpie.

So glad that you visited today! Don't forget to pop on back often to see what the rest of the DT is creating, you will not be disappointed that you did!

Summer Mini 2016

Hey everyone, Michelle here! I've been on vacation and it seems like I haven't posted in forever. But believe me I have a LOT to share over the coming weeks!!

Today I wanted to share the first part of my summer mini. I made a summer mini a couple years ago using a 4x4 album, that one focused on our summer list. This year it's similar but we don't have an 'official' summer list.
I had this striped album that I picked up several months back. At the time I wasn't sure what I would use it for but it was so cute that I had to have it! I love using these books because they're so little that they come together in a snap.
For the title page I used a 4x4 card from the Summer Lovin' Daily Diary Kit and the rest (so far) is from the Summer Lovin' Classic Kit.
I kept the pages very simple, cropping my photos to 4x4, and adding some simple embellishments. I absolutely love that fun washi!!!

Here's a few more pages:

Side note - to easily add those super thin alphas, use a ruler to place them all in line and then adhere them to your page. I just use the ruler from my planner.

The kits are full of embellishments so there is plenty for my mini album and my traditional layouts!

Of course, this will be a work in progress until summer is over but I can't wait for it to be totally full of our fun summer memories :)
