Fun with Eggs!

Here a quick LO I whipped up yesterday. I visited Aphra Boyler's blog after she left a comment for me, and came across a fabulous sketch she had done and it really inspired me, so this is my take on her sketch.
I used the Lovely day kit and added a few extra things. The felt thickers, Jenni Bowlin frame (which I used distress ink on), the Hambly rub ons and the AC chip accents.
TFL!!

Spring IS here......right?

I think it is spring.......right? Too bad here in Chicago, it is rainy and COLD! Our high was a whopping 42 degrees today! Brrrrrrr! To convince myself that it is indeed Spring, I have been creating LO's to honor this season! The first LO is of my cutie pie pup, Skippers. I used Noel's Lovely Days kit. (Love this kit!!!!)

This second LO also uses the Lovely Days kit. I did add a few vintage goodies and a large Prima flower. This LO is of my niece playing dress up.......she is such a cute age to photograph! I miss my kids being so little! Noel's current challenge is to create a Spring LO! To check out the other gals' gorgeous pages, go HERE!
Have a fantastic Tuesday!!!

Spring Art in the Sun

We had some friends over to paint canvasses on Thursday, and I couldn't wait to scrap these pics of our little art day out in the yard.

I used the Lovely Day kit, + some Jenni Bowlin rub ons & some shipping tags (I love using those things!) to make this fun page about our creative day!

Spring Break 08

Here are some photos I pulled from last years Spring Break. We had a fun day out at a local little kids amusement park. The colors in these were all over the map, and I really wanted to use some papers from the Lovely Day kit, so I chose to sepia tone the photos so they wouldn't overwhelm or clash with the papers. Everything, except the orange thickers, is from the Lovely Day kit.
TFL and have a very Happy Easter with your families! :)

Glitz & Glam!

This week it is all about adding some glitz to your scrapbook pages and cards. I use glitter, Stickles, and Diamond Dust on many of my pages. You can add them to just about anything to get a whole new look!
I love altering clear embellishments!
(Why the heck there are green plastic letters in there?)

For this LO, I took a clear flourish and used Crystal Lacquer to adhere the green glitter. (Pixie Stick glitter) And yes.....it is for a boy page!

I used my new favorite, Diamond Dust, for this Martha Stewart felt bird. It gives it a "sugary" coating. LOVE IT!

Used Diamond Dust here again for this clear button.

For the butterfly, I used a powder blue Stickle first, then while it was wet, sprinkled it with Diamond Dust.

......Yep used Diamond Dust for the top of the cupcake......yum!
Think outside of the box.....use it on fabric, plastic, directly to paper........it adds a perfect touch to spruce up those pages!
Have a great week!!!!

Fun in the Sun

This week we've had every kind of weather imaginable: snow, wind, rain and sun. I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to the warmer days ahead! I pulled out some sunny day photos and had fun playing with the patterns and colors in the Lovely Day Kit. It definitely lifted my spirits and got me excited for summer! :)

Thanks for looking!

Here's a fun Lo I did of our current T-ball season. This is based on IB sketch #13! I used one of my favorite new paper lines, Cosmo Cricket's Lil' Man Paper pack. I also added some red felt thickers, black chipboard accents, SL stickers, MR Bingo Rub on, MM trim, and some assorted buttons. And don't forget...ALL of these supplies are on sale now through Sunday, during our Spring Break Sale!!
TFL...and have a great day!
