Hi! It's Meridy here today, and I am excited to share a Cub Scout layout with you. The colors in this month's kit and those two tone Thickers (gold and dark blue) matched the Cub Scout colors to the tee!
I created 2 12x12 layouts this week, they will face each other in the album, so the supplies and colors coordinate.
This first layout will go on the left hand side. I started by layering some cardstock to make a nice frame for the layout. I only used a couple of patterned papers to pull some of the wood grain and orange from the photos and make them pop.
The die cuts in this kit were an awesome addition to a Cub Scout layout. I used those die cuts to ground the title of the layout. Once I got die cut cluster placed, I was able to use those gorgeous Thickers to spell out "Cub Scout", the acrylic word "life", and the acrylic arrow to finish off the title. I used a few stamps from my stash to add a few more phrases to the title and stamp some geotags sprinkled around---kind of the same effect as ink splatters or sequins, but more masculine.
This next page will go on the right hand side of the layout. I started with a grey cardstock "frame" and used the pretty orange plaid paper as the background. I built up a few layers using the same scraps of patterned paper I used on the opposite page.
I added twine to this layout to give it an outdoorsy, masculine feel. I again used some die cuts and some stamps to embellish this top corner of the layout. I also continued stamping the various small geotags on this layout to pull the two pages together.
Finally, I created another die cut cluster on the bottom left hand side of this page. The Arizona is actually a stamped image that I fussy cut from white paper, and used a geotag stamp to note the location of the campground.
I carried the gold and blue Thickers to this side of the layout to spell the word "camp", again to maintain consistency between the two layouts. That finishes off the layouts for a cute spread about Cub Scout Camp 2016. Thank you for stopping by today!!!
