That's right, it's officially summertime in our house!! I created today's layout using The Big Splash Daily Diary kit along with some of the alphas from previous kits.
Happy Summer!!!

Fairy Garden
I'm taking it back to the Vintage Spring Classic Kit for this layout! My daughter has been wanting a fairy garden for what seems like forever. And earlier this month I found a bird bath that was perfect for her little garden!
The Vintage Spring Classic kit is sold out but there's a couple Daily Diary kits left that you can pair with the Vintage Spring papers!

travel pocket pages
Last week I shared a couple layouts from my vacation album and this week I'm sharing a few pocket pages that are supplementing those layouts. Traditional layouts were created using the Enjoy the Journey Classic kit and the pocket pages were created using the Enjoy the Journey Daily Diary Kit.
So here is one of the layouts I shared last week:
And here is a pocket page to go along with that layout (all pages are 9x12):
And here is how they will look together in my album.
Here is another layout I shared last week:
And a few pocket pages to go along with that page. A Christmas Story House was a definite favorite sowe I took lots of photos ;)
If you love the movie you must go see the house & museum!!
As I finish up my vacation album I might move things around a bit, add some more pocket pages, etc. But this is how they will look together so far:
I've found that I like to create one layout (almost like a title page) and then add pocket pages for all of my extra photos rather than creating a traditional 2 page layout. Having a variety of different pages adds visual interest to my albums!

Vacation pages // Enjoy The Journey Classic Kit
Hey all! I'm back with some more vacation layouts from our family trip to Michigan last year. While we were there I wanted to give my kids (mostly my son who looooves baseball!) an opportunity to see an MLB game. So we headed to Comerica Park to see the Tigers play the Twins.
As I mentioned last week, I'm using a 9x12 album for this trip which gives me a little bit more room than an 8 1/2x11 size. Both layouts were created using the Enjoy The Journey Classic Kit. Next week I'll share how I incorporate pocket pages using the Enjoy the Journey Daily Diary Kit in with my traditional pages.
I love the little alpha stickers in the kit which are great for creating large titles. I grabbed those woodgrain thickers from a previous kit (I believe the December kit).
During our trip we also headed to Ohio to see A Christmas Story House (totally worth it by the way!!!). It was so much fun seeing the house from one of my all time favorite movies! They also had a museum and a pretty amazing gift shop. If you're anywhere near Cleveland, OH I highly suggest going to check it out!As I mentioned last week, I'm using a 9x12 album for this trip which gives me a little bit more room than an 8 1/2x11 size. Michigan
Hey all!! Are you enjoying the "Enjoy the Journey" kits as much as I am?! It's giving me an opportunity to dig into the countless photos I have from our trips back home to Michigan last summer. Today I created the intro page to my album. I chose to use a 9x12 size for my trip album which gives me a bit more room than a 6x8 or 8 1/2 x 11 album bit isn't quite as large and bulky as a traditional 12x12. I am really loving this size!
One of my favorite items in the classic kit is that Crate paper rotary stamp. Love!!! Can't wait to get some more layouts created with these kits!!

Ready for Spring Sports!
Spring sports are in full swing at my house...and it's going to be a busy couple of months! I love documenting these memories because it's so much fun to look back and see how my kids have changed over the years!
The You Go Girl Classic Kit was fun and springy and brought a bit of whimsy to my page! I absolutely *love* those Pretty Little Studio black alphas...need more of those for sure!!!

hello spring
We've had some nice days sprinkled in with the chilly ones so when the sun comes out we take full advantage of it! My youngest daughter was sick for nearly 2 weeks and when she was feeling a little better and the sun came out she went outside to play in her sandbox for a little bit. My dog Tucker loves to hang out next to her sandbox so he enjoyed the day just as much as she did...ball in mouth :)

coloring eggs
Hello everyone! I'm sharing an Easter layout today using the new Vintage Spring Classic Kit. I love all of the spring colors & themes in this kit! So I thought I'd start by getting some of my Easter photos documented. I loved this patterned paper with the watercolors on it & thought it'd be perfect for my egg coloring photos.
There are tons of sticker embellishments in this kit to add to your pages. And I'm not sure which alpha set I like better...the floral thickers or those fun Pretty Little Studio alphas!

Disney pages // You Go Girl Classic Kit
This week I was inspired to create some Disney pages after seeing what fellow DT member Meridy was creating with the You Go Girl kits. I have 2 pages to share today. The first is from my last trip to Disneyland last November. My son & I went for the 5k and even though we were only there for a few days we had so much fun. I mean, it's Disney! How could you not have fun, right?!
Most of my pages were created with the You Go Girl Classic Kit. Although I did use a few elements from the Daily Diary Kit. "The Best Thing" paper was actually the packaging from the Pretty Little Studio alphas. The "happiness" tag was from one of the 4x4 journaling cards that I cut down.
My second layout is actually 9x12 since that is the size album I'm using for that trip...I thought I'd mix things up a bit and deviate from the standard 12x12 size. I love this size when you're working with just 1 photo, it's much easier to manage.

Sweet Moments
Hey all! I'm here with another layout using the You Go Girl kits. This week I'm combining elements from the Classic and Daily Diary Kits...something I always love to do!
The background paper is from the Classic Kit and all of the embellishments are from the Daily Diary Kit. There were lots of fun little die cut shapes and embellishments to choose from!
The stamp is from the classic kit and helped fill in that space to the right of my photo. Tip: The words on this roller stamp are very small so be sure to lightly tap on your stamp pad and test on a scratch piece of paper.

Fill, Pour, Repeat
Hey guys, happy Pi day :) This week I got a bit more creative with my layout. I found this pics of my daughter in the tub, doing what she always did with cups...filling them up, pouring them out, on repeat over and over and over again :)
I wanted to create movement with my page so I started with my photos. I would have preferred to have square photos but the nature of the images just didn't allow for cropping them that way so I rolled with it. Then I just started placing all of my embellishments around them, creating a circle. I adhered everything down except for the photos, added some messy circular stitching, then adhered my photos and a few more stickers.
There are so many fun embellishments with this month's You Go Girl kits with the die-cut shaped, chipboard stickers, & puffy stickers. Not to mention those aqua alphas that are reminiscent of the old October Afternoon alphas that I used to love so much!

My Girl
Happy March everyone!!! I am so happy to be playing with the March kits!! The colors, the patterns, it's all just so bright and fun! So today I have a layout to share using (mostly) the You Go Girl Classic Kit.
I adore the thickers in this kit. Well, let's be honest, I adore everything in these kits!! Gold doesn't really photograph well but that scallop along the bottom is from the Pink Paislee washi strips. The striped washi is from the You Go Girl Daily Diary kit.

Planning with the So Sweet Classic Kit
Today is the last day of February!! I don't know about you guys but I am SO ready for spring! Unfortunately we're supposed to get more snow here in eastern Washington so who knows when spring will actually show up!!
Over the last few weeks I've shared some layouts and Valentines that I've created with the So Sweet Classic kit and today I wanted to share how I used the kit in my planner this past month.
The stickers and rub-ons this kit were perfect for planner pages, as was that cute stamp set and stencil with the distress ink.
What I also like to do with washi when I'm using it in my planner is to adhere it to some wax paper, then cut into small strips to use as pennant banners:
It's much easier to keep them relatively the same size and cut the edges that way.
So here are some more ways that I used the kit in my planner this month:

Buds
I cannot believe there is only 1 week left of February. This month lasted like a minute! lol And while I'm super excited for spring - and for the You Go Girl kit reveal tonight!! - I'm still enjoying working with the So Sweet Classic Kit. And this week I created a page about my pups :)
We have 3 dogs and the littlest pup was adopted about a year and a half ago. Clearly all 3 have become buddies :)
I absolutely love that woodgrain patterned paper with the hanging hearts & couldn't wait to use it on a layout!

love
Happy Valentine's Day!!! We spent the last few days with my youngest daughter working on her Valentine's for class. What fun :)
Anyway, I was going through some photos from a couple years ago and came across this cute one of my daughter and our pup Copper.
I started with that wonderful brick paper from Simple Stores that's in the So Sweet Classic Kit. Using that heart in the center as a jumping off point I started layering some patterned papers & chipboard stickers.
Here's a simple tip: if your page is looking a little "flat", try mounting it on contrasting cardstock like I did with this layout to make it pop!
