Remember Happy

Hello again!

I have one final project to share using the Home Sweet Home Classic kit before moving on to our December kit, Gingerbread and Peppermint. There are still some of each of these kits left in the Noel Mignon shop.

This picture to me exudes happiness. This is my youngest daughter and she is very happy most of the time. She's a sweet girl who loves life and loves to smile and do things to cheer others. I love this picture of her with a pumpkin on her head ☺

Here is a closer look at my page:

I love how the blues and greens of the Elle's Studio products work so well with the autumn tones of the Echo Park collection. I used a mix of both on this layout.

These felt flowers from Jillibean Soup were the perfect way to finish off my page.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Two layouts for the price of one with the Home Sweet Home Classic Kit

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday.  Nicole here on the blog today to share another look at the Home Sweet Home Classic kit before I start breaking into the new Chrimast kit that arrived yesterday.

As most of you know we have been in our new/old house for a little over a month.  During this time I have taken snapshots with my phone and posted them on social media.  They have included things that we have had to get use to, new experiences, as well as our new views.  I decided they would make a great layout that would give a good glimpse of out first month here and so I printed out a hand full of the pictures.

I started with a few pictures and just started adhering them to the woodgrain pattern paper.  I wanted a messy grid so overlapped and tilted them.  I then decided the best way to include a little snippet about each photo would be to number them and so I used the Jenni Bowlin numbers to mark each photo.

My favorite part of this layout was the rubons.  I love the Carta Bella rubons!  I used the wreath and twigs in my title as well as a few leaves scattered among the photos.

To finish off the embellishing I used a few Elle's Studio stickers and word strips through my photos and journaling.

Once this layout was complete I decided to do another with pictures of my sons last field trip at his old school.  The Carta Bella chipboard stickers were perfect for the accents and so I let them be the center of attention around my title.

I used the Jenni Bowlin stickers for my title.  I cut a few strips of pattern paper to tuck under the main section of my title and then started placing down photos.  I used a few odds and ends left from the sticker sheets and then added a few of the die cut leaves I had left from my layout from a few weeks ago.

I finished off with the pattern paper strips along the top and bottom and the chipboard embellishments from the Carta Bella chipboard/brad set.

I still have a few more ideas to put together with the rest of this kit.  So it's not going away quite yet.  I really love how Noel mixed in some traditional fall colors with non traditional elements.  This kit is so versatile.  As of this morning there are still three kits left in the store.  Be sure to stop by and snag one before they are gone.

How are you using the kit this month?  We would love to see what you are creating.  Be sure to share over on the Noel Mignon Facebook Members page.

Happy Scrapping!

Thankful Together

Good morning!

Today I have a project to share using the Home Sweet Home Classic kit. There are still a few of these left in the shop so head over to get yours today.

I mixed bits of a lot of patterned papers from the kit to create this fall-themed page.

Each Noel Mignon kit has a fun mix of different types of embellishments. I used quite a few on this page. Some of my favorites were the Elle's Studio tags and puffy stickers.

With Thanksgiving coming next week I hope that we will always remember to count our blessings.

Have a wonderful day!

{Visit to the Pumpkin Patch} Layout using the "Home Sweet Home" Classic Kit

Happy Monday, friends!  It's Meridy here and before I share my layout today, I wanted to remind everyone that sign ups for the next 6 month term of subs are closing in a couple of days.  If you want to sub to the Noel Mignon kit for January-June 2018, you can sign up right here.
Today I'm sharing a layout with the beautiful "Home Sweet Home" Classic Kit.  There are still a couple of these kits in the store.  They are perfect for documenting fall activities and traditions.  I used the "Home Sweet Home" Kit to document a trip to the pumpkin patch...

I decided to start this layout with the plaid patterned paper, I love the plaid pattern and colors in this paper, I really like that it was on the diagonal, so I had to use it right away.  After matting my photos I pulled the coordinating chipboard embellishments, brads, and rub-ons from the kit and put them to work on this page.

I used a few scraps of lace trim that I had leftover from a previous Noel Mignon kit to add a little texture to the layout. I also decided to mat the whole layout on the orange patterned paper from this month's kit.  I thought it looked a little more "finished" matted on the orange.  I used one of the cut apart elements that reads "Happy Pumpkin Season", it was made for pictures like these!!!

Finally, I used the brown "faux-stitched" Thickers for part of my title that read "Visit", a couple of word stickers that read "to the", and a rub on that read "Pumpkin Patch" to complete the title.  I love mixing and matching fonts for my layout titles.  And this was no exception.  I layered a couple of chipboard pumpkins and sprinkled some chipboard leaves to finish off the title area.

And that wraps up my layout for today!  Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you are having fun documenting your fall with the beautiful "Home Sweet Home" Noel Mignon Kits this month!!!

October pocket page // Home Sweet Home Daily Diary Kit

Hey all and hello November!! Since it's a new month I thought it fitting to play with the new Home Sweet Home Daily Diary kit. I created this pocket page highlighting the month of October.

Here's what I love about doing these pocket pages. Most of these photos are not 'layout worthy', meaning I'm not going to create a single scrapbook page about each of them. But all of them together show a snapshot in time for my family, the things we love, what we're doing, and how silly we are. When I look back through my scrapbooks I love seeing these pocket pages mixed in with my traditional pages.

{Cub Scout Life} Layout with the "Apple Crisp" Classic Kit

Hi!  It's Meridy here today, and I am excited to share a Cub Scout layout with you.  The colors in this month's kit and those two tone Thickers (gold and dark blue) matched the Cub Scout colors to the tee!

I created 2 12x12 layouts this week, they will face each other in the album, so the supplies and colors coordinate.

This first layout will go on the left hand side.  I started by layering some cardstock to make a nice frame for the layout.  I only used a couple of patterned papers to pull some of the wood grain and orange from the photos and make them pop.

The die cuts in this kit were an awesome addition to a Cub Scout layout.  I used those die cuts to ground the title of the layout.  Once I got die cut cluster placed, I was able to use those gorgeous Thickers to spell out "Cub Scout", the acrylic word "life", and the acrylic arrow to finish off the title.  I used a few stamps from my stash to add a few more phrases to the title and stamp some geotags sprinkled around---kind of the same effect as ink splatters or sequins, but more masculine.

This next page will go on the right hand side of the layout.  I started with a grey cardstock "frame" and used the pretty orange plaid paper as the background.  I built up a few layers using the same scraps of patterned paper I used on the opposite page.

I added twine to this layout to give it an outdoorsy, masculine feel.  I again used some die cuts and some stamps to embellish this top corner of the layout.  I also continued stamping the various small geotags on this layout to pull the two pages together.

Finally, I created another die cut cluster on the bottom left hand side of this page.  The Arizona is actually a stamped image that I fussy cut from white paper, and used a geotag stamp to note the location of the campground.

I carried the gold and blue Thickers to this side of the layout to spell the word "camp", again to maintain consistency between the two layouts.  That finishes off the layouts for a cute spread about Cub Scout Camp 2016.  Thank you for stopping by today!!!

fall color inspiration

Hello once again.

Today I have a page to share using a traditional fall color combination of gold, deep red and shades of brown with just a tiny bit of blue thrown in.

Looking at the photo below makes me want to leave everything behind for a few days and head to the mountains.  How about you?

Beautiful mountainside autumn color scheme | Click for more fall color combinations, mood boards and seasonal color palettes at http://sarahrenaeclark.com

At this website you can find many traditional as well as nontraditional fall color palettes.

You can also do a search on Pinterest, which is how I found this originally.

For my project this week I created a traditional 12x12 layout using the Apple Crisp Daily Diary kit along with the paper pack from the Classic kit.

I used some diecut flowers left over from last week and backed them with patterned paper and added an enamel dot to the center. The large title for my page was also created using my Silhouette diecut machine. I added some gold spray mist to the white cardstock with a paintbrush.

I cut a couple of hearts from patterned paper and layered them, stapling in the center and lifting the edges to help it stick out from the page.

A few stickers and some golden twine finished off my page.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

pumpkin patch

Hey everyone and happy last Wednesday in October! Hard to believe in just 1 week it will be November! I guess I'd better get started on my kids' Halloween costumes! lol

For this week's layout I used a fun color board from Pinterest with more non-traditional fall colors to inspire my layout.
There's not many blue items in the Apple Crisp classic kit so I simply found a few and sprinkled them in my layout. The pumpkin patterned paper offered lots of fun fall colors.
The doilies are from my stash and the rest is from the kit. Happy Fall everyone!

{Happy Thanksgiving} Layout with the "Apple Crisp" Classic Kit

Hello Friends!  It's Meridy here and fall is in full swing, we had a Fall Festival and a visit to the Pumpkin Patch this weekend.  I got lots of pictures, and I can't wait to get them printed.  In the meantime, I worked on a layout with a photo of Thanksgiving 2016 for today's layout using the "Apple Crisp" Classic Kit.  This week the design team is heading over to Pinterest for inspiration.  I found this fall mood board, and decided to take cues from it when creating my layout this week.  I mainly went with a similar color scheme, the wood grain, and falling leaves, for inspiration.

Here is what I came up with...

I used the wood grain patterned papers for the background of my layout, they just seemed to fit the style I was leaning towards from my inspiration board.  Next, I layered a few strips of paper that I had left over from previous layouts I created this month.  The photograph is the star of this layout for sure!!!

I did add a couple of doilies from my stash to bulk up the layers here, but I think they worked really well with the style and look I was going for.

I used the acrylic word "happy" from the kit as a starting point for my "Happy Thanksgiving" title, and finished it off with the gold Thickers from the kit.

Finally, I layered up some of the chipboard stickers from the kit, a little twine, some die cuts, crystal dots, and a few sequins (from my stash).  I even used some of the Prima packaging from the puffy stickers to create a subtle layer peeking out from beneath the chipboard stickers.

That wraps up my layout for today!  I can't wait to see what you create with your "Apple Crisp" Kits!!!

blessed

Hey guys! After spending the last couple weeks playing with the Frightful kit I'm switching gears and finally started creating with the Apple Crisp Classic Kit and it totally has me wanting to go to the pumpkin patch & do all the fun fall things!
For this layout I went a few years back and used some photos of my little one during a quick little photo shoot at this park that always has a wonderful backdrop of fall leaves. It's making me want to get back there and take some new family photos!

{Long Thanksgiving Weekend} with the "Apple Crisp" Classic Kit

Hello friends!  It's Monday, so it's Meridy here today.  We started putting out our fall decor this week, and this month's "Apple Crisp" Classic Kit has put me in the fall mood for sure!  I decided to scrap some photos from Thanksgiving weekend of 2016.

I decided to take a few "down time" photos last Thanksgiving break, so I could show what life is like and how we relax.  I think I will do the same this year.  I like to break up the "traditional" Thanksgiving photos and add some of these into my albums as well.

I really adore the pumpkin paper in the kit this month, it is a fairly busy pattern, so I decided to use a strip of it on a solid cardstock base.  A few more patterned paper strips across the bottom, and the base of the layout was complete.  Now for the fun part...

As you may know, titles with multiple fonts are my favorite part of the layout to create.  I love piecing them together like a puzzle, overlapping letters, and keeping the words close to one another so they look like they all "fit" together.  These gold Thickers with the blue edges are the bomb!!!

There are so many awesome embellishments in this kit, the chipboard, stickers, die cuts, glitter washi, and crystal dots were the perfect additions to my title.

Next, I added a coordinating embellishment cluster on the bottom right hand corner of the layout to balance the embellishments near the title.  I did a little journaling, and my layout was complete!

I would love to see how you are using your "Apple Crisp" kits on Instagram #NoelMignon.  Have a great week!!!
