this is what we do

in the morning. Well not really - but we had extra time one morning (I don't know how that happened) and the camera was out so we took some quick pics. And this is the result. I based this layout on a Spring layout tag we had over on the boards. It is so fun to see the inspirational layout as well as the final one. Pop on over if you want to join us for the Summer tag -- sign ups are going on now.

My page was made using the lovely Penny Arcade kit. The polka dot crepe paper is Jenni Bowlin and from my own stash.

Thanks for stopping by:)

So You Right Now & Boo!

This week I'm a guest artist at Creative Scrappers. I used Sketch #52 to create this layout of my daughter and her daily ritual of ripping apart her room! LOL!

Most everything here is from the Penny Arcade Kit (just a few left!). The small flower sequins with their bead centers and the Prima flowers are from my stash!

I used the Penny Arcade Kit on this one for the Noel Mignon Spring Layout Tag. To give these supplies a halloween vibe I added a sheet of orange cardstock for my background, a length of orange ribbon from my stash, and a Melissa Frances Fall sticker.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Two LO's to Share

This first LO is of my dear daughter, Cortney. She just turned 14 years old! Her school treated her like the princess that she is.......a crown, balloons, gifts, and cards from all of her friends! I used Noel's Lovely Day's kit for this LO. (sold out). I did add a piece of graph paper and Thickers. The butterflies were cut using my Spellbinders.

This next LO is of my MIL and her mom. I used the GORGEOUS Penny Arcade kit for this LO. I used my flower punch, buttons, and pearls to create my "garden" of flowers. I added a Crafty Secrets angel girl and a JustRite stamp for the sentiment. I pulled out my sewing machine and did some stitching around the circle. (Too bad my sewing machine has never.....ever....touched my clothing! Sad I know! LOL!)

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

My online class & my favorite guy!

Above is a little sneak peek at something I've made for my online class from the Penny Arcade kit!

What online class, you ask?

This one, of course!
You can read more details and sign up for it here: click me!

Here's a layout I made last night about my little guy... I love this photo of him. It's so rare that I get a good, smiling shot of him! I had to use it on this layout!

I followed Kim Moreno's lead and cut out a scroll from the beautiful SEI paper in the Penny Arcade kit.
I also made my own embellishment out of the grunge board in the Penny Arcade kit, along with some crackle paint, a button, and a straight pin. I love how flexible the grunge board is, I was easily able to manipulate the straight pin through it and then straighten it out.

Gram

Good morning all! I hope you are all having a fabulous spring weekend. It went from being a nice Spring week to a super hot weekend here. It's supposed to be 107 today. Think I'll stay in and scrap!
Anyway, here is a LO I did with a photo that came out "wrong" the first time I tried to print it. I was trying to get my photo out cropped to 4x4 for a different LO awhile back, and I guess my settings were off on my first try, and this is how the photo printed. Now this happens to me quite often, and 9 times out of 10 I will just set the photo aside to see if I can use it down the road...hence this photo.
I used the Penny Arcade Kit for this one. The only addition were the brown ScrapWorks Alphas. TFL!

Hey Hey Girls!

Long time no post, eh?
I'm back...I'm refreshed, and i am ready to roll.

This week Noel challenged us to a heritage layout for the current challenge

I decided I would do a picture of myself. It was my very first Christmas back in 1977. it was fun doing this and the Nightingale Kit was PERFECT! I cut my brids out from the JB paper and watercolored them with Stampin Up's colored pencils. I cut out my circles from the Collage Press paper and adhered the middle one with a 3-d glue dot for dimension. Then i added some stickles. A girl has to have some bling bling on a layout right?

I have loved this kit. The colors of it are stunning. There are a few still available. If you are on the fence i suggest picking one up. i believe there on only a few left.

See ya next week and I hope to see lots of heritage layouts for this challenge.
The Nightingale Kit and the Penny Arcade Kit are PERFECT for this challenge.
