A Roundup!

You guys, I am so sad. It's time to move on from my beloved Tea for Two kit, and embrace the new Early Autumn kit. Which is totes adorbs (ha!) but sometimes you just get attached, ya know?

So to honor my favorite kit of all time, I thought I would do a little roundup of the projects I did with it.

I have to say, after focusing so much on Project Life style layouts for so long, it was so fun to tackle these more traditional layouts that I will be adding in to my Project Life album.

To get all geared up for the Early Autumn kit, I did a little Pinteresting and found some inspirational ideas that I plan to turn into projects for myself. Noel's Pinspiration Monday board is also a great place to get a little nudge in the right direction too, if you're looking for one ;)

I have had a blank six-pane vintage window sitting on the ledge in my living room for almost three months, just waiting for a little dress-up, and this cute little vintage window gave me a little inspiration for an Autumn-ee themed banner. Or maybe a few, draped perfectly over the window. Can't wait to tackle that one!!

This is a project I made a few years ago, and I am inspired to bring it back to new life with this kit!

And then there's this cutie. You could totally do so many different versions of it with the kit. Or even turn it into a dream catcher, instead. Now THAT sounds yummy!

This could be a fun Cameo project, too!

And here's my favorite pin from Noel's Pinboard yesterday! LOVE the color combo, and the rustic twine. So totally fall, just in a different color scheme!

That's all for me today! Here's another peek at the Early Autumn kit, in case you're interested.

AND DON'T FORGET! The next term is opening up for new subscribers starting October 1st! Sign up for a 6 month term, so that you can be sure to get all the goodness that Noel packs into these amazing kits each month. Don't miss out!

Hey There...

Hi friends!! Today I have a cute and simple little card to share with you. Over the weekend, I went to a crop with some fun ladies, while there, they were all busy making the cutest cards. As you know, I am not much of a cardmaker, but the more I saw of there cards, the more I decided that I would really like to start doing that more...so when I sat down to make my project, I knew that I wanted to do a card this week.
Now...I had another challenge on this card. Virginia challenged us all to make "green" projects this week...she left this wide open for us, we could interpret green however we wanted, but I was still finding it to be a bit of a struggle, especially on trying to pair this with cardmaking.
I found this card on Pinterest, and thought it was adorable, pairing it with a fun greenish color scheme, I am pleasantly surprised with the card I have for you.

I  used pieces from this kit, and also pulled out some papers from the last few kits. I loved adding in the little bit of gold and navy to give it some interest. Ribbon, mist, chipboard, and rub ons give lots of fun dimensions and texture...turned out pretty cute...I might even actually send this one out instead of boxing it up with other cards I've made! lol.

Pinterest Inspired!

One of my favorite go-to places for design is Pinterest.  I found these two images recently & loved the idea of incorporating this diamond pattern into a layout.

Using my Wishing Well kit, I got to work cutting various pattern papers to create my diamond pattern.  I cut my photo in a diamond shape as well.  To make it easier, I created a 3.5" x 3.5" diamond shape in my Cameo.  Then I just cut a variety of patterned papers.  I knew I wanted my photo and title block to be a full diamond, so I drew a vertical line where these would be.  I adhered them down & simply adding in diamonds around them until I liked the design I created.  Then I used my cutter to trim off any overhang of diamonds at the edges.

In my title block I used some of those gorgeous Maggie Holmes rub-ons from the kit, as well as those fun, glittery Thickers!!  Here you can see a close-up of my stitching.  I stitched diagonally through the edges of each block.

I kept my journaling simple.  A simple layering of some fun tags, a sticker, and a brad from the kit made the perfect spot for these few words.

Have you ever tried the diamond pattern on your pages?  We'd love to see what you come up with!!  Feel free to share your own designs in our Facebook group :)

Pinterest Inspired

Hello!! I have a fun little pinterest inspired tag to share with you all today. I love looking to Pinterest for fun ideas and prompts. Last week, during the "Book Of Love" crop, I visited Pinterest a few times to find ideas for adding different textures and layers into the album I was making.

love you more wall art print

I stumbled across this image, which instantly made me think of the Fancy Pants, Devotion paper that was included in the February "Book Of Love" kit.

By fussy cutting out some of the hearts, and hand cutting letters, I was able to create this cute, fun, little tag that was a perfect addition for my album!

I kept it very simple, I really wanted to watercolor, tone on tone effect to stand out!

Prints, Vellum, and Sequins...

... which are apparently some of my favorite things right now! :)

Patricia "Pinspired" us this week with a gorgeous set of patterns and prints , and it went along perfectly with the fun chevron patterned Studio Calico stencil that came in the Daffodil Hill kit.  I stippled with white paint onto a piece of kraft cardstock, and then once it dried, added a few outlining and gold glitter details to it.

This gave me a perfect accent piece for a card. I finished it off with vellum, stitching, stamping, misting, and washi tape.

You can tell this week that those things have been a theme for me! I created the layout below using some more "artsy" techniques, including using resist medium to create my title.

Want to use those cute clips in the kit as an accent and not clipped on? I used some hot glue to attach it! Sure, it's a little messy, but I love the way it looks sitting on my page!

Hope you are having as much fun as I am with this kit!

It's time for another Inspiration Sunday!

The most adorable stamp is in the Homespun Kit (sorry folks, all sold out!),
and it's got me thinking of all things Mason Jar related! I have loved the homespun cozy look of these jars for a long time. I even did a blog post devoted to them a long time ago!

I thought it would be fun today to be inspired by this sweet stamp and see where it led us...

This next look is chic as is... but you could customize it depending on the mood or celebration with different papers and shapes cut out. The options truly are endless!

These clever gift tags would be very easy to make with the stamp in the kit!

Isn't this next image a beauty? Oh to have one of these in my own home! Swoon!

I love this next idea... not only a feast for the eyes, but incredibly practical and clever!
