Hello friends!! I have a fun little layered card to share with you today! I always have so many fun bits and pieces left over from my kits, so I challenged myself to put some of those goodies to use on this fun card.

Layering the rub on under the photo overlay added fun dimension, then I decided to build up from the camera center. This cute flair badge added in some needed color, pins and clips added in even more texture and dimension. Cutting apart one of the chevron rub ons from the Maggie Holmes collection, I was able to make some small photo corners, and add in more of the gorgeous gold accent. Layered a few of the banner stickers, and I was left with a fun, colorful, dimensional, card for any occasion!

Good afternoon!! Today I have a fun fall themed layout to share with you using the "Carousel" kit, with a few bits and pieces from some past kits thrown in.
I love the soft colors that are included in the "Carousel" kit, but I really wanted to challenge myself to use them on not only a boy page, but a fall themed page. So I started out by pulling all the blue/greens, and brow papers and accents out. I knew I wanted to add in some darker shades also, so I went through some past kits and pulled out anything that I thought would coordinate, yet still bring in those darker tones.

That squirrel paper from Glitz, was one of my favorites out of this kit, and I knew this would be the perfect layout to use it on, I wanted to add more interest to it though, so I cut some random strips, and by adhering them along the sides, I was able to use that while still adding in more colors and texture.
I really wanted to showcase a long title along the more solid blue paper, I pulled out a fun stitching template form my stash, and used it as the starting point. Then by layering in some stickers, paper, and wood veneer, I put together a fun title that works to fill that large blank space.

Finally I added in my layered mat, if you look closely, you will notice I even snuck in a bit of pink for even more interest and color. Since I had so much white space in these photos, I added in a few clusters that layered in for fun texture and dimension.

I tend to go for more primary and brighter colors on my boy layouts, so this was a fun change, and I love getting to add in some of those fun bits and pieces that I have been holding on to!

Now for my project! I am trying to stay ahead of the game and have some fun generic cards and gift boxes around, trying to avoid all those last minute scrambles! When I saw this cute mason jar box, I knew I wanted to give it a try with the Wishing Well Kit! The colors and patterns were pretty season neutral in this kit, and I knew the gold accents would make for a beautiful gift box!

I kept things fairly simple except for my main cluster. I also left a sentiment off so that way when the perfect occasion for this comes along, I can add it in! Here is a close of some of the detail.

Someday....

Hello my crafty friends!! I have a fun layout to share with you today using a mix of scraps and leftovers from some of the past few kits! I have been challenging myself to kill as much of my leftover kits as I can, so this was a fun layout to use of some of those leftover scraps. I only used one full 12x12 sheet of paper on this one!

I've been in a bit of a creative slump lately, so for this layout, I thought it would be fun to do two things! First, I did not use my trimmer once, everything is cut by hand ( so if it looks crooked, that's probably because it is! lol)! Second, I used this but down piece of white cardstock as my base. I created my layout completely on it, and then matted it on the larger 12x12 piece.

I found that kinda stepping away from my normal scrapping "procedure" made for a fun layout!  Here are a few close ups for you:

Hello and happy Tuesday!! Today I have a fun and simple layout to share using a mixture of the Book of Love and Wishing Well kits.

I love how easily these two kits combined to make a cute and colorful layout. My photo had a lot of color in it, so I wanted to play up the rainbow of colors, but ground it with a nice neutral pattern.

I wanted to use the quote from my daughters at the title, so fussy cutting one of these speech bubbles seemed like a fun way to highlight it. I also mixed up the fonts on my title to give it more interest.

Then some simple staggering of embellishments layered in with some of those fabulous gold rub ons from Maggie Holmes, and I called it done!

Downtown Disney

Hello, creative folk! Jana Eubank here. This week I pulled out a few snapshots from our last trip to Anaheim, California. The first night we were there, we took a stroll around Downtown Disney. My kids were in especially goofy moods, and I snapped several fun pictures of them getting into the "vacation spirit." That's where the March Wishing Well Kit came into play. I wanted to get all of these pictures onto one page, but needed a way to organize them. The Jillibean kraft polaroid frames were the perfect solution.

I printed the photos at wallet size, adhere the frame to them, and then trimmed the excess photo portion away with scissors. The words on some of the polaroid frames are backed with gray cardstock to make them easier to read. I had three frames that were blank. To these I added yellow patterned paper, and pink Mickey Mouse heads cut out using my Silhouette machine and embossed with a Swiss dots embossing folder.

Next, I placed the polaroid pictures into three rows. The top two rows are anchored with strips of pink/white striped paper. I also used the striped paper as a baseline for the words in my title. I just love how the glittery letters add that magical Disney feel to this page!

I used the My Mind's Eye number stickers on each of the photos. At the bottom of the page is a journaling strip with correlating numbers explaining a bit about each photo.

I was nervous about how so many colorful photos might look combined together on one page, but the neutral color of the kraft polaroid frames pulled everything together.

The Pace's Game

Hi, there! It's Jana Eubank. This week we have been showing you our projects featuring non-scrappy items. I decided that for my non-scrappy item on this page, I would include a bit of memorabilia.

In my hometown, there is a restaurant called Pace's. It is a local hamburger joint and has been around for a long time, so it has a bit of history in our family ... in fact, my mom used to work there in high school! While you are waiting for your food, they give you a number that they have written on a cardboard circle (my mom tells me these little circles are part of the packaging that the cups come in). When your order is ready, they will call your number. Well, we have developed a little family tradition of playing table hockey with these circle numbers. I saved a number from the last time we went to the restaurant, and thought that this scrappy challenge would be the perfect opportunity to record this memory. Here is the resulting page.

THE PACE'S GAME

Most everything here is from the March Wishing Well Kit. I love that yellow "Foodie" arrow sticker (goes perfectly with the restaurant memory), and the shimmer of the gold chipboard hearts. I added a strip of polka dot paper from my stash to separate the top portion of the page from the bottom, and added a couple of white photo corner to the top corners.

Hello Cute!

Good morning, my friends! I'm here with another simple layout using the Wishing Well kit (still available!). I love the woodsy feel to this kit combined with the gold and feminine accents. So pretty!

I had this over sized photo of two of my daughters that I wanted to be the focal point. I honestly just laid it on top of the bicycle paper by accident and loved the way it looked, even though the colors weren't the same, so I just went with it! 

The wooden tags in the kit are SO adorable, and I added some of the gold rub ons right on top of it... they went on like butter and look like they are a part of it! 

Keep it Simple

Hi Friends!! Today I have a fun, simple layout to share with you. First let me tell you the back story behind this picture and title, I'm not sure you can read the journaling.
 One day a few years back, we were home eating some take out, watching a movie, when all the sudden our youngest daughter, falls back, closes her eyes, and stickers her tongue out. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what she was doing. Our oldest daughter, said "Look, she's playing dead!! HAHAHA!!" ( Really have no clue where this came from, but she was 3 at the time so hard telling lol) We tried everything we could think of to "revive" here, and nothing worked, until Emma stuck a french fry in her mouth..suddenly she was alive again! lol. After that, this became a fun game that they would play anytime we had french fries. So, of course, it had to make its way onto a layout! ;)

I wanted to keep this one fun and simple. I only used my scissors and didn't measure a thing. I just went with it, and I had so much fun creating this way!

I wanted to bring in pops of black since the photo was so dark, a little mist, some thickers, and a black journaling pen brought in just enough without overpowering.

These white alphas were getting lost, so I just messily outlined around them. This worked to bring in more of the black, and help them to pop!

This definitely made me see that sometimes I over-think my creative process...think I am going to have to do more of these types of layouts!

Lucky to Be in Love!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm a little partial to this holiday because green is my favorite color! :) 

Today I have this "lucky" layout to share with you using the Wishing Well kit (still available). Oh and before I forget: Use Code  SPRING30 to save 30% off all paper packs and past kits, now through March 25th!

I loved this watercolor background paper and wanted to continue the "painted" theme on the rest of the layout, so I used a paintbrush with two different shades of green Heidi Swapp mists to write the word on white cardstock. Once it dried, I just cut it out and added it on. I love how the two shades add depth. 

The smattering of gold hearts from the kit make me happy... it's my little pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow. ;)

Twinkle, Twinkle

It's Friday and that means I have a new project to share with you using the Noel Mignon March Wishing Well Kit.

Hi everyone, it's Jana Eubank. This week we have been taking a cue from St. Patrick's Day and pulling inspiration for our projects from shades of green. I had already chopped up one of the green sheets from the Wishing Well kit for my project I'll be sharing with you next week, so I chose to pull out the next best thing ... the blue-green constellation paper from the Webster's Pages Recorded Collection. I adore this paper and immediately thought of some photos I had from when my kids had a sleepover with their cousins.

I used the constellation paper for the background, but I loved the other side of the sheet, too! So I decided to cut a strip off of the bottom, then flip it around. Love all of those ampersands.
I framed the smaller photo with one of the chipboard frames from the kit and then used a double layer of cardstock to frame my larger photo. The journal block was created from the product packaging of the Maggie Holmes Styleboard rubons included with the kit.

For the background and title area, I took a cue from the starry night paper and decided to add more sky-like elements. a sunburst anchors the main photo and sparkly title to one another. I cut the title from glitter paper I had in my stash using my Silhouette Cameo electronic die cutting machine and a word art file found in the Silhouette store.

I added a bit of the washi tape included in my kit across the top of the page and then layered the triangle sequins together in a random pattern to represent stars in the sky.

And Just Like That . . .

As you may have already heard, it's Green Week on the blog!!!  Today I have a project to share using the newest kit, Wishing Well.  I used mainly green patterned papers & embellishments, along with some neutral golds & tans.  I took this photo of my son the other day, and was amazed when I looked at it later and realized just how much of a "boy" he looked like.  I wanted to document that transition kids have, between being a toddler and all of a sudden wanting to be their own little person :)



For the title work I used a mix of those adorable kraft alphas in the kit, and some larger green alphas from my stash.



I created a journaling area within one of the frames from the kit.  I simply printed my journaling on vellum, and than attached it behind the frame.  I love the way the vellum looks against the photo :)



At the bottom of the page I mixed and matched a variety of papers & embellishments from the kit to create a patchwork type display.  This is a great way to use scraps!!

Hey There...

Hi friends!! Today I have a cute and simple little card to share with you. Over the weekend, I went to a crop with some fun ladies, while there, they were all busy making the cutest cards. As you know, I am not much of a cardmaker, but the more I saw of there cards, the more I decided that I would really like to start doing that more...so when I sat down to make my project, I knew that I wanted to do a card this week.

Now...I had another challenge on this card. Virginia challenged us all to make "green" projects this week...she left this wide open for us, we could interpret green however we wanted, but I was still finding it to be a bit of a struggle, especially on trying to pair this with cardmaking.

I found this card on Pinterest, and thought it was adorable, pairing it with a fun greenish color scheme, I am pleasantly surprised with the card I have for you. 

I  used pieces from this kit, and also pulled out some papers from the last few kits. I loved adding in the little bit of gold and navy to give it some interest. Ribbon, mist, chipboard, and rub ons give lots of fun dimensions and texture...turned out pretty cute...I might even actually send this one out instead of boxing it up with other cards I've made! lol.

Fill Your Heart

Hello! Jana Eubank here to share with you my first scrapbook page using the NEW March 2014 Wishing Well Kit. I adore this kit! The gold accents are so trendy and add the perfect amount of warmth to any project.

FILL YOUR HEART

I love the quote on the wood card included with my kit. I have never heard this quote before, but they are words that I try to live by. I couldn't resist adding multiple heart elements all over my page to go along with these special words.

There are heart rubons in the upper left corner ...

Shiny gold hearts sprinkled down the right side of my photo ...

and die cut hearts clustered together on top of a doily cut out. There are even small subtle hearts in the print of the paper bag accent.
