Hey there, Little Red Riding Hood

I can't help but sing that song every time I see these pictures of my baby last year for Halloween! It's such a classic. :)

The Union Square kit (sold out, but the Project Life kit is still available!) helped me scrap these pics, using Julie's sketch this month as inspiration for my design. Make sure to come play along for a chance to win a little prize!

For the arrow pattern, I used my banner punch and just double punched the indention to make the arrows. Easy!

Kit subscriptions for next year are open NOW! The awesome thing about getting a sub to NM is that it ends up saving you $6 each month on your kits... that's great savings! You end up saving $36 over the course of the subscription! That's a LOT of Thickers. ;)

Quick and Easy Gift Card Holder

Hello! I'm here with a quick and easy tutorial using Miss Nelson kit.
I received a cute cut-out tag in my kit, so I decided to make it into a pocket!
Supplies:
frame tag, pattern paper, clear package or clear transparency sheet.
Remove contents of package. Cut the ends of the package:
Adhere to the back of your tag. Leave the open side with out adhesive!!
adhere your tag to some pattern paper (again, leave an opening). I used the Amy Tangerine paper:

Now you have a pocket!! You can slip money or a gift card in your holder!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Playing with Union Square PL . . .

Hello everyone!!  I'm popping in today to share a Project Life page featuring the October Union Square PL kit :)  I LOVED the muted autumn color scheme and all those FABULOUS Basic Grey capture cards.  They made it so easy to scrap this week in September :)

I didn't go overboard with embellishing, just kept it simple by taking advantage of the many easy-to-use goodies in the kit.  For the title block I layered up a few cards and then added in a die-cut title.  To document which week it was I used a combination of Fancy Pants Designs alphas from that awesome sticker sheet.  The little red script alphas are just too cute!!

On the right side I used the supplies from the kit, except for those gold arrows & stars.  These were from the main kit, but I couldn't resist using them to add in some fun borders :)

Have you tried out one of the Noel Mignon PL kits yet??  There are still a few Union Square PL kits in the shop :)  Head on over and check them out for yourself!!

Miss Emma Bear

Hi everyone! I'm sharing another layout using the great Miss Nelson kit.  I think the colors in this kit really appealed to me because I've made 2 scrapbook layouts about myself, which typically happens never haha.  This one features photo's of myself and my doggie, affectionately nicknamed Miss Emma Bear, from last summer.

I used the white distress marker to outline the speech bubbles and then LOTS of those embossed stickers for embellishments.

That's it for today ladies! If you've signed up for my class (you have right??  If not there's still time!  Sign up here!) you can expect an email within the next week linking to the Facebook page and distributing the first Chapter :)

My take on the October sketch

Have y'all seen the October sketch yet??
Julie has come up with another good one!

Cool one, huh??!
So I took this sketch along with the "Union Square" kit and made this...

I changed it up just a little bit since I had so much journaling that I wanted to add. I put the pics a bit lower than the sketch and that left me some room above the pics to journal.
Then I let my arrows run horizontally instead of vertically.
Hey, it's a very versatile sketch!

Here are a few detailed shots of the page.

I *love* those gold, glittery Thickers!

Of course I had to use this "sweet ride" paper to make a layout about bikes!
I am pretty sure Noel put that paper in the kit just for me!
;)

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Have a good one!

Disney layout with the Miss Nelson kit... Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

I am ITCHING to scrap all my new pictures from our Disney trip, so I whipped up a layout with the Miss Nelson kit with some pics I took after our breakfast with all the princesses one morning. These shots of my youngest being a ham totally cracked me up.

I just love the look of a stack of embellishments.

I added my own chalkboard-esque lettering to one of the chalkboard tags in the kit. So fun!

Jar of Thanks!

Hello!!

This year seems to be flying by! I can't believe it's October! Right around the corner from Thanksgiving! Each year I make a thank you jar for my son's teacher. I usually place her favorite candy in a Mason jar and tie a gift card to a coffee shop around the top. It's a small token of my appreciation!

This year I got a head start with the jar:

I used all items from the Miss Nelson kit. Thanks for dropping by!!
