The countdown is on...

It's not too late to make and send out cards!
Here's an idea to help you out.

I used the "Ribbon Candy" kit to make this!

Gift bag idea

OK raise your hand if you are thrifty {coughcoughcheapcough} like me and hate to pay more than like $1 for gift bags??!
They are out there if you look hard enough but inexpensive gift bags aren't around every turn.
So sometimes I resort to just making my own.
And it does not have to take a lot of time!
{time is money, right??!}
Here are a couple of plain paper bags that I dressed up with some of the paper, stickers, & ribbon from the "Ribbon Candy" kit.

Fold the top of the bag to close it.
Then all you need is hole punch & a little adhesive to attach everything to the bag.
Punch 2 holes at the top and thread your ribbon through the holes.
Then decorate at will!

Cheap, easy, and cute!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

Merry Christmas!

Scrapping Christmas!

Good morning!
Guess what??!
I've still got Christmas pictures from last year that I haven't scrapped!
Surely I am not the only one with that problem.
;)
But at least that means that I get to use the fun "Ribbon Candy" kit to scrap them!
*****
This is a pic from last Christmas of my husband with his mom, brother, and sister.

I actually grabbed the gold glitter Thickers from the "Union Square" kit to add some sparkle to the title.
If you have any of them left, those alphas mix well with this Christmas kit!
*****
I hope your holidays are off to a great start!
Merry Christmas!

Thankful

Good morning!
I'm a week ahead of Thanksgiving but hey, 'tis the season!
I used my "Union Square" kit and Julie's November sketch to make this "Thankful" layout.

Here are a few close up shots of the page.

I did a bit of fussy cutting to get the leaves to embellish around the pictures.
And it seems that I just couldn't quit so I cut out a few hearts too!

Happy day folks!
Have a good one!

Matchmaker, Matchmaker, make me a match...

Catch me a catch.
Find me a find.
*****
OK OK I digress!
However I am 1 for 1 in the matchmaking department!
I set up my friends Justin & Jennifer ~2 1/2 years ago.
Lee & I went with them on their first date.
And they got married a couple weekends ago.
Boom!
I think I will quit while I am ahead.
No more matchmaking for me!
:)
*****
I scrapped a few pictures from the wedding with my "Union Square" kit.
This kit was perfect to scrap these fall wedding pics!

I did quite a bit of fussy cutting this one!
I was watching the Alabama-LSU game last Saturday while trying to make this page.
I was too nervous during the 1st 3 quarters of the game to actually put the page together.
But I could fussy-cut some hearts and flowers no problem!
Roll Tide!

Have a great day!

A night of comedy

So I went and saw Pauly Shore at the comedy club here in town earlier this summer.
{can you believe that guy is still around?!}
The thing is, though, I didn't really go to see Pauly Shore.
Nope, I was there to see the guy who opened up for him.
His name is John Crist and he is one of my brother's best friends from college.
And y'all, he is seriously funny!
After the show I went and took an obligatory pic with Pauly just so I could really get a pic with John!
*****
Then I used my Union Square kit to scrap it!

{oops...looks like a strip of my journaling slipped a bit & i didn't catch it before i scanned the page}
Here are a couple close up shots of the layout.

OK here are a couple of fun things you need to get in on!
Noel has a couple of fun contests going on.
You can win her December Project Life kit and you & a friend could win a couple of kits but just sharing some things on Facebook!
Go to the Noel Mignon Facebook page to get all the details.
But basically you are going to "share" this picture on Facebook for a chance to win a December PL kit.

And then if you are a subscriber to Noel's kits, share this picture, get a friend to subscribe also, and the 2 of you could have a chance to each win 2 free kits.
The more friends you get to subscribe, the more chances you have to win!

Check out the Facebook page, though, for better instructions than I am giving you!
And good luck!
Thanks for stopping by today y'all!

Happy Halloween (a day early)!!

Hi there and good morning!
I made a couple Halloween cards with the Union Square kit.
It's not a Halloween kit per say.
BUT there are a couple stickers in there and some fun patterned papers that make it work!
Who says Halloween has to be just orange, black, and purple anyway??!

Don't you just love the sparkle that these Thickers have?!

One more!
I did throw a little orange on this one for fun!
:)

What am I going to do if this twine trend ever dies??!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Don't forget that January - June kit subscriptions are available for a little while longer.
Better get yours now!!

Have a great day!

Smile!

Just a couple of fun cards to share this morning!
I made both of these using my "Union Square" kit
I love the variety in this kit and you can really see it in these 2 cards!

I started off making these cards with the same basic design.
Somewhere along the way I got off track!
:)

Have an awesome day!
And thanks for stopping by today!

You & Me

Hi there!
I've got another layout to share with you using my "Union Square" kit.
really tried hard to embrace the white space on this page.
It's tough for me though!
Literally I had to just walk away to keep from adding more stuff!
:)

I did  a bit of fussy cutting on this page.
I cut out the flowers & hearts from different patterned papers in the kit.

I used the American Crafts "&" stamp with the gold ink from the kit.
This gold ink is awesome!
This pic doesn't do it justice but it is really radiant and shimmery.
Just what you want in gold ink!

I had forgotten how much I love rub-ons!
And these rub-ons from Jenni Bowlin are to die for!

P.S.
Have you seen the sneaks that Cassandra shared for her mini album class that is coming up at the end of this month??!

This is her Masquerade Mini Album kit.
But if you would rather not make a Halloween album, she is giving you the option to do a "Summer in Review" album.
Cool, huh??!
The class starts on October 28th and you can sign up for it {here}.
And then you can get your kit {here}
Go sign up!!

My take on the October sketch

Have y'all seen the October sketch yet??
Julie has come up with another good one!

Cool one, huh??!
So I took this sketch along with the "Union Square" kit and made this...

I changed it up just a little bit since I had so much journaling that I wanted to add. I put the pics a bit lower than the sketch and that left me some room above the pics to journal.
Then I let my arrows run horizontally instead of vertically.
Hey, it's a very versatile sketch!
*****
Here are a few detailed shots of the page.

I *love* those gold, glittery Thickers!

Of course I had to use this "sweet ride" paper to make a layout about bikes!
I am pretty sure Noel put that paper in the kit just for me!
;)

Have a good one!
