Storage Tip: Stamp Pads

I've been storing my stamp pads together in a drawer. It worked "okay" but I would frequently get frustrated when I needed to find a particular color. It was hard for me to see what my options were.

I remembered that I had bought some transparent document boxes in the Target Dollar Spot a few years ago and thought I would try putting my stamp pads in there.



They fit great! I'm loving this new solution! I can group colors together: neutral, warm, cool, specialty (glue pads, watermark, etc.).



Before I had to look through each "stack" of stamp pads to find the color I wanted. Now, I just flip up a layer or two of boxes and can easily see the colors.

I'm not sure if Target is selling document boxes this year in the Dollar Spot, but I'm sure you could find something similar at an Office Supply store if this is a storage solution you're interested in.

Storage Tip - Trays

Happy Sunday everyone! As I was looking around my scrap space, trying to figure out what I should talk about, I thought I'd discuss my basic storage item - a serving tray. I am one of those oddball scrappers who has a scrap space but still prefers to scrap on the coffee table in the living room. I am sure a lot has to do with the fact that my TV is over there versus my scrap space. *gasp*

So instead of lugging an armful of supplies from room to room, I invested in some serving trays from Target. They are great! They are made out of hard plastic so they can withstand some weight. I place my current project in the tray along with all the other tidbits I plan on using with it. By the time I am actually done with my project, I do tend to add more supplies to the tray as I think of them. They are great for when you are working on more than on project at a time too. You can have one tray per project and just grab the one you feel like working on and everything you need will be in it. Ok maybe not everything. I am sure you'll need your paper trimmer and adhesive. I hope this little storage tip is useful to you. Here is a pic of one of my current project trays...

Storage Tip(Card Storage)

Hi all!!! Another week has just flew by and what a week

it has been especially with CHA and all right!!! I so wish

that I could have gone to see all the gorgeousness in

person. Anyhow, on to todays storage tip!

When it comes to albums and placing my pages in them

I learned early on that it is not for me. I found myself

with all these albums either I won, was given as a gift,

or came in a kit. It is very hard for me to toss anything

and I am one of those persons again who think that

there is a use for EVERYTHING. LOL! So with that

being said I thought up a tiny idea of how to store my

cards in a photo album!

I like keeping all of my cards at about this size so this

album was perfect. My cards are constantly being

used so it is very hard for me to fill this up. It keeps

my cards safe, clean, and never have to wonder where

a specific card went. I pop this album open and they

are all there in one tidy place.

Storage Tips

Happy Weekend!  We will be celebrating my daughter's birthday this weekend so we will be having a good time.  Hope you will be doing something fun as well!

I have a couple storage tips that I use the help to keep me organized.  Nothing new - but it is what works for me.  I have a small but long (runs under the stairs) scrap space and so I need to try to use the space as best as I can.  I use the top shelf to store things like ribbon, sprays, mini books, etc.  Here is how I store my ribbon.

I have LOTS of ribbon. And a long time ago I started collecting these jars (from target) and now I have one for every color - I think there are a couple off to the left that you can't see.  I have an extra large jar for all of my pink ribbon.  I love this because I can easily see/grab what I want without having to go through a bag of ribbon (which is what I had years ago).  I have a few spools to the right that I keep that way - they are my satin ribbon that I love.

Another way I like to save some space is by putting many of the things I don't use all the time but may take up space.

I used to have all of these things on a shelf on display - well except for the the chipboard and the mini books.  But They just weren't getting used that much and I would rather have things that I use more frequently at reach.  So, I put them in these containers that I bought at Michael's/  All of my sprays/mists are in one container.  Chipboard pieces that are not minis are in the second container.  Then I have mini books that I buy and I KNOW I will use someday - they have a nice home in the third container.  And then,  all my lovely paint that I think my daughter uses more than I do is at the bottom.  I used some cute Creative Imginations label stickers to label them.

I know this isn't anything new, but it is what works for me.  And, I always like seeing what and how others organize their spaces, especially small spaces like mine.
