December Memories!

Heellllllooooooo!!! So today I wanted to show you what I have so far in my December Memories album. I was doing pretty good for four whole days, and am falling behind now. Life. But tonight I am catching back up and will post more of my album later on in the month.

I made this chalkboard a while back and have been doing a new design for each season so far this year. LOVE IT! Usually I print and trace on my designs, but this one, I am proud to say, is entirely free-hand. It's definitely not perfect, but I'm learning!

Usually, I have a wreathe for the season hanging on the hook at the top, but I decided to switch things up for December and hang my December Memories on it.

I decided to use the Maggie Holmes flip album and a few of the included pages. The meat of the album is going to be made using a mix of the Cable Knit and all past kits from NoelMignon.com. The kits all coordinate so well, it was an easy choice to make! For the cover, I used my Cameo to cut the 25 out of cardstock and then glued on the sequins. LOVE that little wood snowflake from the Cable Knit Daily Diary kit!

I am attempting to follow the December Photo A Day list from onestorydown.com and the first day was joy. Of course, I didn't make this decision until late in the day when I was in no mood to actually take a picture, so I made the executive decision to just use the word, if I'd rather tell a story than show a photo. This should make life a little easier. I have been hoarding this 4x6 card from the Tea For Two Daily Diary kit, and it was an obvious choice for Day One. And could those Thickers BE anymore perfect?

Again with the keeping-it-simple approach. Just a simple number 2 rubon from those adorable Crate Paper rubons in the Maple Creek Kit. And um, day two was supposed to be "hanging" but I um couldn't find anything that worked, so I changed it to "shoes" for day 30. Whatever. It's just a guideline, right?

Day 3 is "home decor" and I was still working on taking down all of my Fall decor. Thank God my mamala came this weekend and took over all of the Christmas decorating for me, cast and cane and all, poor thing! For this page I grabbed a few little bits and pieces from my stash, and those tab stickers and paper scraps from the Maple Creek kit.

This is another piece I have been hoarding that was perfect for this album. Day 4 is "handwriting" and so I took a picture of the mirror in our bedroom that I wrote out an anniversary card to my hubby on in soap! Yep, that's me. Super corny. And I had some journaling that I wanted to keep private, so I just clipped them together with that beyond adorable arrow clip and slid them inside the envelope.

And that's all from me today! I hope you will post your December memories up over at the Facebook page - we love seeing the kits at work!

Dino Baby!

Trick or Treat? Well, today you get a trick from me. Not a terribly fancy one, but a nice and easy one, that's for sure!

Yesterday I finished up my son's Halloween costume, and snapped a couple of pics to remember him in it, before he inevitable barfs and/or poops all over it. I just love it. And he is, I have to say, the chillest baby ever. He crawled all over the house in that thing. Never took his hoodie off, waggling that tail up and down the hall. LOVE THAT GUY!

I jotted down a few thoughts about the day on one of those adorable October Afternoon journaling cards from my Early Autumn Daily Diary kit, and stole the "lovely day" card from my much-loved Tea For Two kit. I have a tendency to want to fill all empty spaces with journaling, so it is a real win for me that I was able to resist on that card.

As for my trick - I grabbed one of the 3x4 filler cards and the stamp set from the Daily Diary kit and went to town. I used a tinted embossing ink and white embossing powder to add as much contrast as possible. To finish it off I pop-dotted on that super cute "hello there" diecut. I love having a totally unique filler card every now and then. And it's so easy it feels like cheating.

I hope you're loving the start of our Holiday Season as much as I am! Happy scrapping, friends!

Fall Journal Part 2

Hello friends! Today I am going to share a title page from my fall journal with you. Though I plan on filling this journal with lots of pictures and stories, I also want to break it up some with simple pages that just express a word of feeling that I have about my family, and this time of year. So I thought that starting the journal out this way would help me to add cohesion, and I can also use this as event or section markers.

For this page, I went back to last month and used the Tea For Two kit, I love that bits and pieces from all our Noel's kits can work together to make cohesive projects!

I worked around the printed image that is already on most of these pages in the Fancy Pants brag books, It helped me to find a good central point for my embellishing!

I am so excited to share this in progress journal with you! Hope it inspires you to pull out your kits and put them to good use!!

A Roundup!

You guys, I am so sad. It's time to move on from my beloved Tea for Two kit, and embrace the new Early Autumn kit. Which is totes adorbs (ha!) but sometimes you just get attached, ya know?

So to honor my favorite kit of all time, I thought I would do a little roundup of the projects I did with it.

I have to say, after focusing so much on Project Life style layouts for so long, it was so fun to tackle these more traditional layouts that I will be adding in to my Project Life album.

To get all geared up for the Early Autumn kit, I did a little Pinteresting and found some inspirational ideas that I plan to turn into projects for myself. Noel's Pinspiration Monday board is also a great place to get a little nudge in the right direction too, if you're looking for one ;)

I have had a blank six-pane vintage window sitting on the ledge in my living room for almost three months, just waiting for a little dress-up, and this cute little vintage window gave me a little inspiration for an Autumn-ee themed banner. Or maybe a few, draped perfectly over the window. Can't wait to tackle that one!!

This is a project I made a few years ago, and I am inspired to bring it back to new life with this kit!

And then there's this cutie. You could totally do so many different versions of it with the kit. Or even turn it into a dream catcher, instead. Now THAT sounds yummy!

This could be a fun Cameo project, too!

And here's my favorite pin from Noel's Pinboard yesterday! LOVE the color combo, and the rustic twine. So totally fall, just in a different color scheme!

That's all for me today! Here's another peek at the Early Autumn kit, in case you're interested.

AND DON'T FORGET! The next term is opening up for new subscribers starting October 1st! Sign up for a 6 month term, so that you can be sure to get all the goodness that Noel packs into these amazing kits each month. Don't miss out!

You've been scraplifted!!

I hope you have all been enjoying our member lift week! It has been so fun to see how we were inspired by the amazing projects that YOU all share with us!

The member I chose is some one who I am continuously wowed by! Her layouts are always so gorgeous, and her photos are fabulous! She is, in my mind, the queen of 2-pagers! Can anyone guess who I chose?? Meridy Twilling!! I think you are amazing, and was so honored to be inspired by you for this challenge!
I was honestly, a little intimidated, but I picked one of my favorite layouts of hers, and just went to town with it! I stayed very closer to her design, I loved it and was so inspired by it, but I tweaked it a little to make it mine...and I only chose to lift one side of her gorgeous two page layout!

This is her layout that I chose:

Here is my version of the left side of her layout, also using the Tea for Two kit!

We hope you all are enjoying this week, and hope you'll continue to share your work to inspire us!!

The new Early Autumn classic kit is still available, you can pick yours up here!!

Lift Challenge: Jackie George!

Hi all! This week we've been scrap-lifting member layouts, and I picked Jackie George to lift!
Here is her layout:

I love the strips and all the scattered sequins! Also, I love the little clusters of embellies around the photos - so cute!

For my take on this layout, I used the Tea for Two kit. This has been my very favorite kit to date. And as I sit here writing this, I know my new Early Autumn kit is "out for delivery" and will be on my doorstep in just a few hours. And I'm so excited to crack that little baby open! But I must say, I am so sad to move Tea for Two out of it's little special spot on my desk for current kits. Sad indeed. So sad that I might not. I might just have to keep pulling from that one for a while...

But I digress.

We are here for a scraplift, and here it is!

I copied all the strips Jackie used - a great way to get rid of scraps, by the way! I just notched the ends and stitched them onto the base. This added a whole lotta dimension just right there!

Then I added a couple of cards from my Daily Diary kit as a background for the photos. From there I just kept layering and layering, trying to stay true to where Jackie had her layers and clusters around her photos.

This is kind of  an unofficial title. It's in a different cluster than Jackie has hers, but I just couldn't find the perfect thing for a title in that spot. I love how these two pieces sit above the stitched pieces, and the confetti fell so nicely around them. How perfect is it that the card pack in the Daily Diary kit had that cute little envelope of confetti?! Lucky me!

I had to steal a couple of little things from my stash - this "love this" sticker from the Shimelle sticker pack, a little type-written sticker, and the "remember" is from a roller stamp I got a million years ago. I love the look of stamping off!

The last little cluster Jackie had was at the top right of the page. I just cut down a tag from the kit, layered a couple of stickers, and stitched the whole thing to the page. Easy peasy.

And that's my scraplift! Thanks for the inspiration, Jackie - love your layout!
Have a great HUMP DAAAAAAY everyone!

Hello Happiness

Happy Saturday! I am here to show you my latest layout using the Tea For Two kits, with Noel's latest Pinspiration Board! Every Monday, Noel will be pinning lots of inspirational photos over on her Pinterest Inspiration Monday board, so be sure to check it out!

 This is my inspiration piece:

I love everything about it. Love love love.

Now, usually I don't use pink when scrapping about my son. It just feels a little odd. Call it gender stereotyping if you want, but there's just something about him that is so anti-pink. BUT. This layout is going into MY album, which is the very essence of pink and girly, and so very Tea for Two, that I couldn't resist pinking up these cute photos of him. And I looooove how it turned out!

I used my Cameo to cut out a couple of feathers that I stitched onto the page.

I threw on a couple more butterflies, that I just happen to have on the brain from my last layout and used the rubons to make some fake stitching down the center of the large one.

This layout has quite a few layers to it. I generally go with a white background on all of my layouts, but I loved that the polka dot on this one was subtle, and just enough green to neutralize the amount of pink I slathered around. I used lots of bits and pieces from both of the kits. LOVE those wooden heart stickers! I happened to grab a pad of 6x6 foiled vellum a few weeks ago, and I couldn't resist the gold foil heart sheet! I HAD to add that in!

This layout was supposed to be titled, "Boing!" because of the stuffed giraffe he's holding. It literally makes this loud and crazy boooooooiiiiiiinnnnggggg!!!! So naturally, he bangs it as hard as he can against the ground over and over and OVER again. Loves that thing. Anywho... "Boing!" looked really weird as a title, so I grabbed this wood veneer and did a little Gelato painting on it. Kind of an ombre effect. And for my first try at it, I'm pretty happy.

And that's all for me today! Be sure to check out Noel's Pinspiration Monday Board next week for more fun stuff!

Good Times Captured

Hello friends!! I have a fun and colorful layout to share with you today using the "Tea for Two" classic kit. The bright colors and sayings had me pulling out a photo from Easter that I hadn't yet scrapped.

At first glance, this may not seem like the "perfect" photo to choose, but it perfectly captures all of their personalities at this moment. My husband, wanting me to hurry and get it over with so giving me the "closed mouth" smile, our youngest snuggled up on daddy, our middle lady caught mid-sentence, and our oldest with her very well trained "if I smile nice, it will be only one photo" smile. So them at this moment, so of course, it was the one I chose, over the one that really was the "perfect" photo.

I loved this background paper, and how it already had the perfect photo spot in the design. Sometimes that it the thing I struggle with the most, where to place my photo! From there, I just started adding in layers. Lots of simple, flat paper layers, then I added in some of the chipboard frames for a little extra dimension. When I saw this sticker from the MME sticker sheets, I knew it had to go front and center, it was too perfect!!

Then I wanted to add in a few more layers in another cluster up at the top of the page. I used the bottom portion on those same chipboard frames, layered in with some chipboard stickers and enamel shapes for a fun pop that helps bring your eyes around the page.

This kit is so versatile, and easy to create with, we really hope you share all of your creations with us over on the facebook page, which you can join here! Sneaks have also started for the "Early Autumn" October kit, which is looking AMAZING!!!

Just Another Friday Night- Tea for Two Layout

I don't know about you guys, but having a "special performance" at our house is a fairly regular occurrence. Gymnastics, ninja moves, secret agents displaying their awesome detecting skills, fancy princesses singing, and ballerinas swishing their tulle skirts are just a few of the many shows I've seen. I wanted to make sure to capture at least one of these on a layout.

(Side note: my girls so remind me of the girls on Despicable Me.)

I used the Tea for Two kit to create this simple layout.
