The time has come...

For me to say goodbye. This has been an amazing year as a part of the awesome team, community. Things and people change, and it is time for me to move on and make room for new possibilities for both myself and this club! I have so enjoyed the time here and getting to know everyone, you all are some of the most talented and sweetest people I have encountered in the online scrapbooking community, and I feel honored for the opportunity to have been inspired by and maybe inspired you all just a little! For my last post, I am taking a cue from Deanna, and sharing some of my favorite projects from the past year.

I am so grateful to Noel, Virginia, my team mates, and all of you for making this an amazing year. Some of my favorite layouts have come from these kits and inspiration from all of you. Thank you! Have a happy new year, and make sure to take the time to create something you love!

Comfort and Joy

Hello friends! Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you using the Cable Knit kit!

I loved the fun tags from Fancy Pants there were included in the kit, and thought they would make the perfect focal point for a card!

I added in a Prima wood disk from my stash, I love the dimension and texture that it gives this card! Some layering and fun bright colors, and this quick and easy card was put together in a mere 15 minutes!

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday!!

For the love of gift cards

Hello friends!! Happy Monday! Today I have a fun project to share with you using the Cable Knit kit. I have a few hard to buy for people on my Christmas list this year, so instead of buying them a random item that I am not sure they will like/want/need, I decided to do gift cards for a few of them.
When I went to buy my gift cards, I was very unimpressed by the holders that they had available. I knew I could make something much more festive using my Noel Mignon kit!!

I started out by searching for a shape on the silhouette store. I found this cute stocking gift holder, and knew it was perfect!

I wanted to keep the design very simple. This is is going to a guy, so wanted to make it fun, but still have a "manly" vibe to it.

Some fun layering and clusters on the top of the stocking. I used the seasons greeting flair as the anchor for holding the stocking flap down.

Then I wanted to bring in a little extra dimension down at the bottom, so that it wasn't so top heavy. A wood veneer snowflake with a layered black glitter star was the perfect finishing touch!

So happy with how fun and cute this turned out, and it helps to put a more personal touch on the gift cards!!

Cable Knit Love

Hello friends! Happy Monday! I have a layout to share with you today using one of my all time favorite Christmas photos and the fabulous Cable Knit kit.

This picture is from last year, and I have had it printed and ready to scrap for just as long, I just never could find the right products to create the type of layout that I wanted...until this kit came along. It was perfect!!

I wanted to keep it fairly simple, with a little bit of wood and a little bit of gold. I could not be happier with the finished layout.

I loved the wood veneer snowflakes, and thought they went perfect with some wood veneer from my stash, that I wanted to use on this layout, A fun enamel star in the center of each, was a perfect touch for a little extra pop.

One last fun finishing touch to add some extra sparkle and dimension. I looped the fun gold twine around the top of my photo, and framed it in. Then popped a fun bow onto a third snowflake from my stash ( I wanted two different designs.)

I am having so much fun with this kit already, can't wait to break it in some more!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hello friends and Happy Thanksgiving! Today I have a fun project to share with you using the Sweet & Simple Classic Kit. I loved the deeper reds and blues of this kit, and I really thought it would be perfect for putting together this home decor piece I had had in my mind for awhile.

I started with a small natural pallet, then using the Homemade paper from Simple Stories that was included in the kit, I covered each slat with one of the patterns. I cut a tree from the burlap paper from Fancy Pants, and then I picked some of my favorite papers out of the kit, and traced each of my kiddos hand prints for the top of my tree!

I wanted to keep the embellishing very simple on this, I really wanted that tree to take center stage. I did add in some fun details in the bottom left corner.

I wanted to add in a sentiment or title of some sort onto this, I tried many different ideas around, but finally settled on a simple "love", and I think it fits it perfectly!

Going to end this with a close up of those sweet hand prints! So excited to get this hung up!

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving, and take to time remember what is important this holiday season!!

I am Grateful

Hello friends! Happy Monday!! Today I have a gratitude project to share with you using the Early Autumn kit!

I wanted to create a project that my family and I could do together, and something that we could carry on from year to year. So I took the idea of the gratitude mason jars that you see all over on Pinterest, but adapted it a bit to fit the need of my idea.
First off, I used a vase instead of a mason jar...it gave the same general idea, but with it being larger, I would have more room for us to carry this tradition on.

I thought it would be fun to use some cut out leaves for our grateful items instead of just strips of paper. I cut a few with my silhouette, and will add more in as the years go on. I kept the jar itself very simple, so that way the notes and writing will stand out, and be the center of this piece.

Just some simple layering, stickers, and a few sequins.

Wasn't that Fancy Pants ticket perfect for this!!?? :)

I am so excited to get started with this...I think it will be so fun to see how our feelings and thoughts change over the years as to what we are most thankful for...especially the kiddos! Will love seeing their handwriting change over the years also...have no doubt this will become a cherished family item!!

Count Your Blessings

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a simple yet meaningful fall decor project with you. This time of year we all seem to reflect a little more on the things that matter most...the people in our lives, and the time we get with them. For me, this time of year is also a reminder to enjoy the simple things...to not get so caught up in all the hype, and just enjoy.

So, for my decor project, I wanted to stay very simple, I had a mini pallet that I had bought at my local craft store. It came unfinished, but I wanted it to be a darker shade. So, I dry brushed it using a mixture of brown and gold acrylic paint. I then splattered some navy blue and yellow mist on it, to add a little more texture and color.

Using my Silhouette, and a few of my favorite papers from the Early Autumn kit, I cut out this sentiment, that perfectly sums up this season, and some small vines to add in a little extra dimension. A small bow tied with that gorgeous yellow ribbon, an enamel heart, and I called her done!

Another thing I love about this simple piece, is that it can stay up year round...who doesn't need a daily reminder to appreciate life just a little bit more?

DIY Costumes

Hello friends! Today, I am going to share a fun little project that I made using the Early Autumn kit with you!
For Halloween costumes this year, we decided to use things we had around the house to make our own costumes. Our oldest daughter was easy, she wanted to me a mad hatter, so we went online and looked at some different costumes and put together a fun, bright, and very mismatched costume for her...she even ended up winning first prize in a costume contest at one of our local festivals! For our little guy, again, easy, he's just like his daddy, and loves all things trucks and tools...so of course, he had to be a little mechanic!
For our middle daughter, we had a bit of a harder time. We started out with her wearing an older witch costume that we had, but she was not happy with that one at all, so we started brainstorming, and she decided she wanted to be a scarecrow! Easy, a flannel shirt, some jeans, her cowboy boots and she was good. I wanted to make something a little fun for her to wear along with it though! So, in came my Noel Mignon kits!
I started off with the Fancy Pants burlap bow that came in our "Sweet & Simple" classic kit. Then using supplies from the "Early Autumn" kit, I embellished it and made a cute and simple bow for her to wear in place of a hat!

This was very simple to put together...but it made for a fun memory that I know have of this Halloween with my girl! She picked out the embellishments that she wanted, and helped lay everything together.,.,and she LOVES it! :)

Don't forget sub spots for the next term are still open, and the awesome new Maple Creek kit went up for sale today!! Head over and check it out!

I'll Get You My Pretty

Hello and Happy Monday!! Today is the start of two fun filled Halloween themed weeks! We are going to show you some fun ways to use the Early Autumn kit to make Halloween themed projects!

I am starting out with a witchy layout for you today! I struggled a bit with what papers to use on this, her costume was only orange, black, and green, so most papers I tried clashed with the darker colors of her costume....but I was able to find some fun papers and embellishments that worked perfectly, and made for a fun layout!

I loved the little owl included with the Fancy Pants button pack, and knew that I had to find a spot of this layout for it! It went perfect with my witchy theme!

I have to say that I am loving that sequin pack from the Early Autumn kit! I haven't been a huge fan of them  in the past, but the colors and sizes of these are so fun, that they are making for the perfect embellishment!! Has there every been a kit item that you weren't a fan of, until it came along and fit in so perfectly with that kit??

Remember, that sub spots are still open for the next term! Make sure you head over here, and sign up for yours today!!!

Fall Journal Part 2

Hello friends! Today I am going to share a title page from my fall journal with you. Though I plan on filling this journal with lots of pictures and stories, I also want to break it up some with simple pages that just express a word of feeling that I have about my family, and this time of year. So I thought that starting the journal out this way would help me to add cohesion, and I can also use this as event or section markers.

For this page, I went back to last month and used the Tea For Two kit, I love that bits and pieces from all our Noel's kits can work together to make cohesive projects!

I worked around the printed image that is already on most of these pages in the Fancy Pants brag books, It helped me to find a good central point for my embellishing!

I am so excited to share this in progress journal with you! Hope it inspires you to pull out your kits and put them to good use!!

Together

Hello Friends!! Today I have a journal/mini album to share with you using the Early Autumn classic kit.

I don't know about all of you, but fall is my favorite time of year! I love everything that comes along with the changing season, but I also love all of the family activities we do during this season. We make so many memories every year during this time, and I thought it would be a fun idea to make an album where they were all kept together.

My plan, is to use this from now through the end of November, and carry it on every year until it is full. I also have plans of having the kiddos contribute lots to it, with drawings and favorite things about this time of the year.

Today, I am going to share the cover with you, and my plan is to share it along the way as I fill it with memories!

This leaf paper was one of my favorites from the kit, and thought it would make the perfect cover paper. Then using a tag from my stash, I layered in lots of little goodies from this kit, and a few items from some past kits.
I layered items such as the fussy cut leaves for some added dimension, but I did keep this fairly flat, as my hope is for it to be pulled out, looked through, and loved often!

So excited to start filling this book! :)

This kit is currently sold out, but our next term of subscriptions is now open!! Head over here and sign up for yours today, so that you don't have to miss out on another one of these amazing kits!!! :)

Being With You

Hello friends! Today I have a layout to share with you using the "Early Autumn" kit ( which is currently sold out). This kit is full of beautiful fall colors and tones.

For my page, I started out with this gorgeous Chickaniddy Crafts paper for my background, and I loved it so much, that I really wanted it to stand out and be seen. I chose two smaller wallet sized photos, and off centered them just a bit, and then worked in embellishments around then in a messy grid style.

I didn't layer much on this layout, I really wanted each piece to stand on its own! It's a different scrapping technique for me, but I love the finished product, and how everything surrounds and draws you back to the photos.

The My Mind's Eye rub ons included in this kit were the perfect bits of finishing touches, and they went on so smoothly!

If you are not currently a subscriber, and missed out on this fabulous kit, you are in luck! Our next term of subscriptions just went up, so don't miss out on another one! Head over here, and sign up for your today!!!

You've been scraplifted!!

I hope you have all been enjoying our member lift week! It has been so fun to see how we were inspired by the amazing projects that YOU all share with us!

The member I chose is some one who I am continuously wowed by! Her layouts are always so gorgeous, and her photos are fabulous! She is, in my mind, the queen of 2-pagers! Can anyone guess who I chose?? Meridy Twilling!! I think you are amazing, and was so honored to be inspired by you for this challenge!
I was honestly, a little intimidated, but I picked one of my favorite layouts of hers, and just went to town with it! I stayed very closer to her design, I loved it and was so inspired by it, but I tweaked it a little to make it mine...and I only chose to lift one side of her gorgeous two page layout!

This is her layout that I chose:

Here is my version of the left side of her layout, also using the Tea for Two kit!

We hope you all are enjoying this week, and hope you'll continue to share your work to inspire us!!

The new Early Autumn classic kit is still available, you can pick yours up here!!
