October Daily Dairy...The Last Pages

Hello everyone! Welcome to the LAST week of October. That is SO crazy.  Wasn't it just August?  Seriously, right?  Well today I am happy to share the last pages of my 6x8 album that I created with this month's Daily Diary Kit.  These kits make the most fabulous pocket page mini albums.  I think I have met my newest addiction!

I chose to use 2 different styles of page protectors.  I love how it mixes things up.  The kit contains so many fun and varied patterns.  On the left hand side of my spread, I used the gorgeous Pink Paislee "Happy Memories" card.  Even though it is probably ideally meant to be used as a horizontal 3x4 card, I decided to use it as a vertical card instead.

I also added in this really cute pink polka dot tone on tone 4x6 card.  I added some typed journaling onto it and then stitched on this cute "a thankful heart" banner from the kit.

On the right hand side, I chose a 4 pocket spread.  I love how this kit came with so many fun cards that keep pocket scrapping simple and time efficient.  For instance the "every family has a..." card alrady comes so cute that no additional embellishing is needed.  I also just loved this grey and white stripe pattern paper so I trimmed this down to size and left it as is.

This bottom right hand card I decided to add a little bit more dimension to it so I adhered a chipboard heart and speech bubble on to it.  I also placed the 'creating a beautiful life' sticker onto it as well.

Voila!  A fun super cute and another complete pocket page spread for my mini album!  If you love pocket pages and mini albums...you will be sure to love the Noel Mignon Daily Diary kits.  Thanks for stopping by. :)

Falling Leaves Challenge

Hi There, Lynn here wrapping up our Fall Crop week over on our Facebook Members Page! Hope you've had fun - we LOVE seeing your projects based on our challenges - keep them coming! My challenge for you today is to use a leaf in some form on your project. This could be leaf paper, leaf ribbon or leaf shapes. I created a Project Life page and incorporated leaves that I cut from Pink Paislee's Cedar Lane paper from this month's Blue Moon Classic Kit. The PL cards are from October's Blue Moon Daily Diary Kit. Here's my page ... I apologize for my photo quality - I need a new CF card reader so these were taken with my iphone late yesterday after work :(
I added leaves as embellishments to several of the cards - including my title card.
It's hard to see but the leaves have yellow stickers on them that say "WK 40". Here's another card where I layered some leaves as an embellishment.
I created a few shaker pockets with my Fuse Tool around this 4x4 card which also has lots of fussy cut leaves as a border.
So, lets see how you incorporate leaves on your project. Please upload them to the "Falling Leaves" album on the Noel Mignon Facebook Members Page. Thanks so much for playing along with us this week and keep those projects coming!!

Hayride!: NoelMignon Natural Elements Layout Challenge

Hello!
Michelle Zerull here this morning with a new challenge! As you recall, this is our Fall Crop week, so be sure to check out our Facebook NoelMignon Members Group to see how you can win PRIZES!

This morning the challenge is "Hayride".....
I would like for you to incorporate a Natural Element into your layout. If you haven't been on a hayride for awhile (neither have I!), you can use another subject. That's what I did.
Here's some ideas of things that you can use...
Leaves, Bark, Twigs, Cork, Moss, Burlap, Straw, Wood, Cotton, or any other natural element that you can think of.

For my Pocket Page Layout, I used this month's Blue Moon Daily Diary Kit, as well Natural Elements. Elements with a lot of texture make a large statement, so I kept my pockets simple.
Here's a tip for using moss:
Using a white glue that dries clear, apply the moss to Freezer Paper and let dry completely overnight. (Smoosh lots of moss down on the paper!) When the glue is dry, you will be able to cut shapes from the freezer paper with regular scissors.

Share your project with us on our Facebook Page. We are looking forward to seeing what you create!

Day 2 of the Fall Harvest Crop

Good morning girls! I am bringing you yet another challenge in the Fall Harvest Crop. Make sure to keep coming back to the blog everyday in addition to joining us in the NoelMignon Facebook Group. You don't have to be a NoelMignon subscriber to join the Facebook group or to join in on the Crop fun so come on over and join us! And without further ado, your challenge from me today:

Pumpkin Spice Latte

This challenge is all about scrapping your guilty pleasures. I took a pocket page approach and documented eight current guilty pleasures.

I used the Blue Moon Daily Diary kit to create this page.  I cut down the 12x12 Pink Paislee Cedar Lane to get some of these cards.

I tried to come up with as many guilty pleasures as I could think of but if you decide to document only one, so be it!

So, have you figured out which guilty pleasure(s) you will be scrapping? Well, get on it because there is a prize specifically for participants in this challenge. Only those who scrap their guilty pleasure by Saturday, Oct. 24th and post it in the corresponding album in the FB group will be eligible for this gorgeous prize!

There are several more prizes available this week so make sure you join us in our Facebook group to keep up to date. Can't wait to see what you all make.

Blue Moon Happy Mail Set

Happy Weekend everyone! Michelle Zerull, here to share a Happy Mail project that I made with the Blue Moon Daily Diary kit.

I love sending Happy Mail to friends and family. It's always a pleasant surprise to receive something fun in the mail, and I love being able to use my supplies in fun new ways. This is a simple letter set, but it's loaded with colors and textures. It reminded me of an antique postcard that I had. (I'll be tucking that in the envelope, too!) And speaking of envelopes....an  envelope liner is so simple to make, yet adds to much charm! Handmade embellishments are also fun additions to your letter.

Here's a simple way to make a fun flag. Use a Q-Tip! Simply cut off the cotton. And the best part...they are super cheap! (FYI...These are also an easy way to make cupcake toppers!)
I hope that I've inspired you to use your supplies this weekend. Enjoy!

Documenting the Changing Seasons with October's Blue Moon Daily Diary Kit

Howdy Everyone, I'm here with my first Pocket Page using October's Blue Moon Daily Diary Kit! I wanted to document the changing seasons here in New England and this kit is perfect. I love the fall colors in this kit, especially the Simple Stories "We are Family" collection. Here's my page
I created some extra pockets using the Fuse tool. One pocket became a shaker pocket and I altered a 4x6 pocket to accommodate two 3x4 cards.
I added a frame around one of the photos to add some interest.
Since there are so many pockets on this page I didn't want it to get too busy. So the middle section is filled with simple 2x2 squares.

I attached a few of the photos with the fun Washi Tape included in the kit and that allowed for me to journal under one of the photos.

This is the last pocket that I converted into two 3x4 pockets
I hope this page give you some ideas on how to document your fall photos using the Blue Moon Daily Diary Kit! Embrace the season if you can - it's such a beautiful time of the year!
Be sure to sign up for the next term of kits - from January to June 2016! You will not be disappointed in our kits - they are LOADED with fun current products!! Have a great week!!

Blue Moon Button Magnets

Hi! Michelle Zerull here, to share a project that I made with this month's NoelMignon Blue Moon Daily Diary kit.
I love the rich colors and textures in this kit. The turquoise, wood grain and touches of gold are chic, yet earthy and familial. These elements inspired me to make something that had an upscale look, yet friendly and fun too. So, with my favorite Blue Moon elements, I made Anthro-inspired Button Magnets and packaged them with the cards in the kit.

The magnets were super fun to make. I cut the paper to size, and then rolled the edges in chunky glitter from my craft stash. A top coat of clear glue gave them a resin-like finish.

To package them, I glued hardware store washers to the card. The metal washers keep the magnets in place.

I hope that I have inspired you to create something fun with your  Blue Moon Daily Diary kit.
Enjoy!

Pocket Page Insert with Blue Moon

Good morning! I've got another pocket page up using the Blue Moon Daily Diary kit. I decided to also stick with the lighter cards and elements in this kit to make this page.

I stuck with the general color scheme of pink, blue, and gold and carried this out on all the cards to pull the spread together.

I got some new gold metallic thread and it was the perfect finishing touch for this layout. How have I lived this long without it?!

I cut apart some of the journal cards to act as labels for journaling on the pictures. My typewriter was acting up but I think the mistakes add to the homemade-ness of the page. Perfectly imperfect :)

The Blue Moon Daily Diary Kit is still available. Head over and check it out and pick one up before they're gone!
