One last Delightful layout!

Even though I got the "Get Lost" Daily Diary kit this week, I couldn't go by without doing just ooooone more layout with the beautiful Delightful classic kit! I'd been saving this adorable bandana styled paper to do a girly layout with, so I loved layering up on it with watercolors and paper scraps.

I honestly didn't mean to do quite so much of the black watercolors, but I made a big splotch on the bottom left by accident so I just rolled with it. To balance it out, I used several other black accents on the page, and contrasted it with the yellow embellishments.

spreading sunshine

Today I have one more project to share using the Delightful Classic Kit before I dig into my brand new "Get Lost" one for April.

Do you know people who just seem to radiate light?

My youngest daughter does just that, so my project this week is to spotlight her:

This blue and white striped paper was one of my very favorites from the Delightful kit and I had been saving it for just the right picture ♥

I cut my white cardstock down a bit on all sides to show off the blue and white stripes behind the white. I misted my background with this mustard color to match the bright yellow of the slide. I don't tend to use yellow a lot in my projects but this time it was front and center as a major accent of my page. I really like the shade of blue from the patterned paper mixed with the yellow hues from the spray mist, buttons and doily from the kit.

I used the scraps of white cardstock to add texture to the striped paper and then adhered my white misted cardstock background to the patterned paper.

The fun diecut is one I'd cut on my Silhouette machine quite a while ago and I thought it went perfectly with this sweet picture of my little girl.

I added the strip of ribbon after cutting the edges as you can see in my picture and topped it off with a couple of cute wooden buttons to add more yellow accents to the project.

Lastly I added some puffy border stickers as well as chipoard accents, adhering some of those straight to my page and adding foam adhesive to others.

Please come visit us again tomorrow for more inspiration from our design team.

Silly McGilly

On St Patrick's Day, my daughter's Kindergarten class set out traps to try and catch Silly McGilly the Leprechaun. Well of course, he managed to give them the slip but not before he played some silly tricks! He knocked over some of the traps, left green footprints on others, and messed with the sight word cards (among other things!).
I pulled out my Delightful Daily Diary kit along with one of the patterned papers from the classic kit to pull this page together. You can see I used a couple of the 3x4 cards and although I could have easily made a pocket page I ended up opting for a more traditional layout instead.
I also photographed a couple of my daughter's papers from school so I could add those to the page. I've found over the years that with 3 kids this is one of the easiest (and least bulky) way to include their artwork & memorabilia in their scrapbooks. And in case you're wondering - yes, after I've taken photos I will usually throw away the artwork. Gasp!! I know, I know. But there's just no way I can keep it all. However, I do keep some of my favorites so not everything gets thrown out!
I love that it worked out that I happened to have '2' and '3' cork numbers in my kit since that is the exact number of tricks that Silly McGilly played on the class ;)

Side note: be careful when using adhesive with the cork embellishments. They have a tendency to rip easily! I had that happen with one of mine but managed to fix it :)

Spring Decor with the Delightful Classic Kit

A few years ago I began to take stock of our holiday/season décor and realized besides Christmas and Halloween the decorations were pretty sparse.  Each year I have been adding a few things.   I decided with the rest of my Delightful kit I would add to our Spring/Easter décor on our fireplace mantle.

The first thing I decided to make was a banner using the colored doilies from the kit.
I counted the doilies and determined from there I had enough yellow to spell out Spring and with one blue I could do one accent in the center.  I didn't want to break up the word spring but decided with the amount of dollies in the kit I would make it work.

I cut the pendants from several different pattern papers, matted them with cardstock, and attached a strip of pattern paper to the top.  Using my trusty score board I made the folded paper medallions and topped them with pattern paper and letter stickers.  Once the pendants were put together I hot glued them to the ribbon and finished with smaller bows tied with a button and baker's twine (from my stash) at the ends.

The center accent pendant I embellished with a paper butterfly.

After I got the banner finished and hung I decided to make a bunny box to compliment the egg shaped box I put together last year.

He (she?) was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  He was a bit of a pain to glue together, but once finished I determined it was worth it.  I finished him off with a bow and some of the puffy flower stickers from the kit.

And there you have it a few more holiday items for my house.  Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you were inspired to make holiday décor with your kit.
Happy crafting!

Hangin' at the ballfield!

Hey guys, today I'm playing with the Delightful Daily Diary Kit and a little bit of the Happy Together Classic Kit. I will often 'shop' from previous kits if I'm looking for a particular embellishment or certain colored paper. I didn't have much left from the Happy Together kit but I did manage to grab the red/pink striped paper that added a nice little hint of contrast for the background of my layout.
I also added some of the alphas from both kits for my title. You may notice that I altered a "T" to make an "L"...I've used this alpha set so many times that it was bound to happen that I'd run out of letters! I'm ok with it not being perfect - embrace the imperfection!!

I loved the cork clouds & they tied in perfectly with the cloud paper from the classic kit. I used red line tape to hold it in place and it seems to be holding well so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
And I couldn't resist using that gorgeous pink ribbon along the bottom of my page. Originally I thought about tying a bow but was worried that it would add too much bulk to my page. So I opted for the 'messy' look that I've done before on pages...no rhyme or reason, I simply add some adhesive, press the ribbon down, & the stitch to keep it set on the page.

Easter Eggs with the Delightful Classic Kit

The first day of Spring!  My favorite season hands down.  I love the spring flowers, warm but not hot weather, the longer days.   Yeah Spring is pretty great.  This week the design team was given the theme of Spring.  I chose to make a bright Easter layout featuring photos from our egg dyeing a few years ago.

I started with the white cardstock and layered pattern papers on top.  I then used glitter mist from my stash to splatter ink on the top and bottom.

I placed the letter stickers to spell out my title and used labels from my stash for my date and finished this area up with one of the arrow paperclips.

I kept most of the layout pretty simple besides the pattern paper and title and finished the embellishing off with three of the Maya Road resin flowers.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, Happy Scrapping!

Delightful Classic Kit- February Memories

Even though I have the Classic Style kit this month, I thought I'd use some of it in my Project Life/Daily Diary style album. I love mixing things up like this, especially by playing with proportions!

I'm not doing pocket style pages all the way... it's more of a mini album, loosely done in a pocket style fashion. I like the flexibility of this a lot and I do not do weekly spreads, but more of a loose flow to our days.

By working in this style, I can make a lot of "mini layouts," which makes room for the type of layering I like to do.

Are you in the kit reveal group? We'll be having some fun surprises tomorrow night... make sure you join!

Happy Heart

Hello!

It's Becky with you again today to share another project that I created with the Delightful Classic Kit.

For this week I wanted to go with a green color scheme because of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday. Not that my page is St. Pat's Day-themed, but I went with a combo of shades of green and gold with some blue thrown in.

Here is my page:

I started with a cardstock base. I cut 1/4" from all edges of the white cardstock and adhered that to the green cardstock from this month's kit. After that I added some Heidi Swapp spray mist in gold and Citron. Because I was originally going with a "Lucky" theme I added some green spray mist to the shamrock I cut out. I traced inside the edge to help the paper stand out better from the background paper.

I layered lots of patterned paper, ribbon and tape, along with some of the Freckled Fawn puffy border stickers and a strip of the blue and white ribbon. The gold washi is from my personal craft supply. The green floral patterned piece is the tear strip from one of the Pebbles papers in the kit.

To finish off the page I added lots of chipboard pieces, stickeres and diecuts, along with title words from the Maggie Holmes chipboard package.

Here is one more detail shot from my page:

Thanks for stopping by Noel Mignon today.

Don't forget to join us Sunday night for the reveal of our April kit. That will take place in the Noel Mignon Kit Reveal group on Facebook. We hope to see you there!

Happy Together with the Delightful Classic Kit

Hello everyone!  Nicole here today to share a layout using the Delightful Classic Kit.  I just love the bright spring colors Noel choice for this months kits.  I chose to highlight a friendship that my youngest has had since almost the day he was born.  A family friend that is three years older than him and his best friend.

I started with the outside frame and cut strips of pattern paper and cut it the corners to fit into place.  Once they were all glued down I used some of the liquid pearls at the corners to mimic nails.

Once the liquid pearls were dry I played with the placement of my photos.  Highlighting the main photo with colored mats and the title placement.

I then placed embellishments among the pictures:  washi tape, chipboard, puffy sticker, buttons. As a finishing touch I placed more of the liquid pearls along the top of the focal photo and photo.

There are so many fun embellishments in the kit this month.  I'm excited to play more in the weeks to come.  Have you had time to scrap?  Be sure to share with all of us on the Noel Mignon Facebook Group.  Happy Scrapping!

Together *Delightful Classic Kit*

I know I know... scrapping a Halloween picture with a springtime kit is kind of weird. BUT I just loved the quirky girliness of this photo I've had sitting around and I thought the kit matched it well. I've taken to displaying layouts around my home as much as possible, and this was one of my favorite photos. I wanted to create a simple but fun layout to feature it!

I just peeked over and there is ONE Delightful Classic Kit left in the shop!  You should totally grab it. ;)

Waiting for the tooth fairy

Happy Friday everyone, Michelle here! This week I'm playing with the Delightful Daily Diary kit and this week it's all about the layers. So I took a couple patterned papers from the classic kit and paired them with embellishments from the daily diary kit.
My youngest daughter lost her first tooth the other day and was so excited! I couldn't wait to create a page all about it.

I layers several patterned papers, along with flowers, doilies, & other embellishments from the kit. It's been a while since I used flowers on a page like the ones from the kit so it was fun to play with those again!
Be sure to share your creations using Noel Mignon kits in the facebook page!
