Home with the Study Guide Classic Kit

Our lives are about to get a little crazy around here as we close on a house and move.  Like all good scrapbookers I decided to document a few of our thoughts on this new journey we are beginning.

I started first by cutting a house shape from the floral pattern paper.  I filled the heart shape cut out with stickers from the Pink Paislee Turn the Page stickers.

I used a combination of the Pink Paislee stickers and the chipboard thickers to spell out my title.

Once I laid everything out I decided to make the house die cut stand out a little by outlining it with the American Craft marker.  I then finished my layout off with strips cut from pattern paper, the bird die cut, and the paper florals.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  I'm off to go pack some more boxes and prepare for the big day that is fast approaching.  :)

Happy Scrapping!

Cards with the Spring Fling Classic Kit

Hello, Nicole here on the blog today.  I decided to use my last post of the month to share a few cards  that I put together with odds and ends from the kit.  I decided to pull all the bright pinks from the kit to put together this card.  The transparency, washi, and ribbon.  The sentiment I pulled from the stamp set and I layered this on top of the Prima flowers.  I love the soft feminine look!

I also used a bit of transparency from my stash to stamp the flower stamps and then cut them out and placed them behind the paper daisies.

The card I challenged myself to use the stickers for the sentiment and embellishments.

I used foam adhesive under some of the leaves to add a bit of dimension to the large flower sticker.

Lastly I decided to use a circle punch and I covered it with the phrase stickers on the Dear Lizzy sticker sheet.  I then trimmed the overhang and attached it with foam adhesive.  I also used the bonjour sticker as my sentiment and used foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping over to the blog today.

2 months with the Spring Fling Classic Kit

Nicole here on the blog today.  I was going through photos in my pile of "want to scrap" photos and found this one of my cute little niece.  The colors in her cute little outfit were perfect to pair with the kit.

Whenever I get stumped I usually go back through some of my previously made layouts and scraplift myself.  I decided to pull inspiration from a layout I made in January when my picture and embellishments were housed in a heart shape.  I started by cutting a large heart with my Silhouette and used a pencil to trace the outline.

I have a few label stamps and used these to stamp on the quilted pattern paper to bring in different prints and colors.  I also used a tag to cut tag shapes into pattern paper.  I placed these around my creating a visual triangle.

The title is a combination of a number sticker from the Dear Lizzy sticker sheet and a cut from my Silhouette from the orange cardstock.

I used the stamp from the kit with StazOn and stamped the flowers onto vellum.  I used watercolors and after it dried I cut them out and they became delicate flower embellishments.  I placed these along with the Prima flowers on top of another tag I cut from pattern paper and an actual shipping tag from my stash.

Once I had placed my embellishments I measured and printed out my journaling and cut my background cardstock and slide it into place adhering it all together on the back.  To make the outline of my heart stand out I used yellow embroidery floss to hand sew the heart.

As a finishing touch I trimmed the edges and used a pattern paper on the back to tie in my color scheme.  I enjoyed putting together all the little embellishments from the kit onto this layout.  They were the perfect way to record my sweet niece at only two months old.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!  Be sure to head over to the store and snag your Spring Fling kit there are still a few left in the store.

Greece: Let's Get Lost Kit (April Classic)

Hi everyone!  Sarah here with my first layout using April's classic kit, Let's Get Lost.  Now, I'll be honest, the travel theme intimidated me a bit at first because our family hasn't been able to really take any vacations lately.  But then, I remembered I had a project that I started a couple of years ago where I'm documenting some of my childhood memories.  And some of them are travels!

For this layout, I found a picture of Baby Sarah in the back holder that my mom was wearing while on a trip to Greece when my father was stationed overseas.  Here, I'm about 6 months old.  My parents always teased that I had been to Greece before...and I say that totally doesn't count!  But here is the photographic evidence.

I love how the white washed brink from the We R Memory Keepers paper highlights the washed stone in the picture.  The "Snug as a Bug" puffy sticker was perfect for representing how I'm quite snug in that backpack.

The globe fabric was just perfect for this layout.  I cut a long strip to go across the bottom of my layers and help create a place for my title.

For some extra accents, I cut out some of the heart images on the Shimelle patterned paper and used them as embellishments.  I also used one of the large Prima flowers (totally out of my comfort zone).  I love how it fits in the corner of my photo.  And I finished it off with a little sprinkling of the Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Ocean Blue.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I can't wait to see what you make with your Let's Get Lost kits.  Do you have any older trip photos you can scrap?

Have a great weekend!

{Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair} layout with the "Delightful" Daily Diary Kit

Happy Monday!!!  It's Meridy here today with another 12x12 layout using the "Delightful" Daily Diary Kit.  I also used a patterned paper and a piece of cardstock from the Classic Kit Paper Pack for the base of the layout.   Today's layout is yet another Disneyland layout.  If you like scrapbooking Disney photos---keep your eye out for an EXTRA Noel Mignon Kit being released soon, it's exclusively Disney!!!

Onto today's layout, I really wanted the layout to feature the pinks and purples in Rapunzel's dress, so I choose papers and cards with these colors.  The dark purple cardstock is from my stash.

Once I had the papers and photo adhered, I started embellishing.  This was a BREEZE with the great embellishments in the Daily Diary kit.  I misted the Prima flowers to make them the colors I wanted for the layout, blue and lavender.  The "Magical Moment" card was PERFECT for a Disneyland photo, the cork butterfly and mini pink doily were great feminine additions to the page.

I stamped journaling lines onto the pink and white 4x6 card, punched the heart from a 3x4 card in the kit, and stamped the date with the stamp from the January Daily Diary Kit---I love that most of Noel's kits come with supplies that are reusable!

I balanced the left side of my layout with a trimmed off portion of the 4x6 card I used on the layout, added a few more punched hearts, and finished off the layout by outlining most of the layers.

"Besties" with Buttons and Bows Classic Kit

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! Lynn here with this week's layout using the "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit. Our challenge this week is Siblings. I used a pic of my Niece's girls Abby and Kate. They are each unique in their own way but will always be sisters and hopefully best friends. I focused on the Pink Paislee papers in our kit this month for my page. Every now and then I create an 8.5 x 11 sized layout. Here's my page.
I clustered some embellishments including the gorgeous Prima flower from our kit.
Here's a look at the fun two-toned coordinating thickers and iridescent gems.
I love the gold hanger clips from Pebbles.
Here's another close up.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and be sure to keep checking in to see more  "Siblings" projects.
Have a great week and I'll return next week with a new project featuring our AWEOSME Falloween Kits!!!

Tag, You're It! "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! Lynn back today with a very different project using this month's "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit.  The design team's challenge this week is to use buttons, bows or stitches on our projects. I wanted to use tags on my page so I could place buttons on the tops of the tags. I initially wanted to create an 8.5 x 11 layout. I love this design and I enjoy adding different pages sizes to my albums. Then I went a different route. I used Ranger's Giant Manilla Tag #12 size as a template for my background. These tags are HUGE! The giant tag size is 5 1/8" x 10 1/2". The smaller tags I used on the background are #5 size which are 2 3/8 x 4 3/4. I used the kraft cardstock included in the classic kit this month as the base for my project. I painted gesso on a background stamp to give the plain kraft cardstock some design. I then placed three size #5 tags on the large tag. Here's my project:
The large gold glitter bow is from our kit this month. The bow pieces from Fancy Pants are precut and so easily put together.
The flowers and leaves from Prima are so pretty and coordinate nicely with the Pink Paislee papers.
The buttons I used are from my Gram's stash. She was a professional seamstress and I was very lucky that she handed them down to me.
So what do you do with this giant tag? Well I displayed it in this decorative floral pin frog. You could also place it on an easel and it will fit in a 6 x 12 page protector so you can put it in your scrapbook album.
I hope you liked this tag page and I will return next week with another project using "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit!! Have a great week!!!!!

Inspired by Flowers-"Heart of Gold" Classic Kit

This week in honor of "Budding Romance", the design team is using flowers as inspiration on our layouts.  I'm using the "Heart of Gold" Classic Kit for my double page layout today.

Noel puts her kits together to mesh with the current season, trends, and holidays, but they are also versatile.  So although this month's kit was a more "love" theme---it worked for my Halloween layout---complete with flowers!

I did pull quite a few flowers from my own stash here, but I also used one of the Prima yellow ones that came in this month's kit. I used some of the My Mind's Eye enamel dots as centers for some of the flowers.

I needed to have a few "pops" of black on the layout to bring out the darker colors of the Mad Hatter's costume, so I thought that the "Halloween" title would work well on the left side of the layout, while the "you + me" black sticker worked on the right side of the layout.
I really stretched the use of the gold doily in the kit.  I cut it into pieces and used a couple of pieces on some previous layouts, part of it near the "Halloween" title on this layout, and the final piece I used by cutting away some of the exterior of the doily leaving some of the interior in a half circle to anchor the "You + Me" embellishment cluster.

I used the gold ribbon to finish off and ground the bottom portion of the layout, and I really like the way it turned out with the little faux knot pictured below.
Finally, I used the ampersand sticker from the Crate Paper sticker sheet that came in this month's kit on the sub title of the layout.  I really like mixing fonts and lettering on my layouts and titles.

Thank you for joining me today...check back all week to see how the rest of the design team has been inspired by flowers.  Have a great week!!!
