"Wrap It Up" Holiday Cards

Hello Everyone, Lynn here with some Holiday Cards using this month's "Oh What Fun" Classic Kit. Last week I created a tree from strips of paper - you can see that layout here. I used the same design to create some Holiday Cards. Our challenge this week is "Wrap It Up". We used both washi tape and ribbon on our projects. I used strips of washi tape and papers to create my trees and a piece of ribbon for the tree trucks. Here are my cards.
I created most of the cards on white with a kraft background. I created one on kraft with a white background and that's my favorite. Here's some close ups.
I love the translucency of the washi tape. The acrylic words included in the kit added a nice touch and dimension to some of my cards.
Of course, a few sequins and a puffy heart don't hurt either!!!!
All my cards are size A2. I love the burlap ribbon for the trunks.
My last card.
These holiday cards are quick and easy to put together. I like having handmade cards ready for that someone special.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next week.

"Oh What Fun" and a Plaid Challenge

Hi Everyone, Lynn here with my first layout using this month's beautiful "Oh What Fun" Classic Kit. December's Kit is so festive and seriously PACKED with product just in time to document your Holiday Events.
The team's challenge this week is called "Plaid Tidings". We used Plaid somewhere on our projects. That was easy with this kit - so many plaid options available! I created a tree out of strips of paper for my layout. One of the layers is plaid. Here's my page.
I started by whitewashing a space behind the tree - using gesso and a practically dry brush. I then added layers of paper strips, including a fun piece of vellum from the kit, popping up some of the strips.
I added several types of embellishments including sequins for some bling.
I also added some tiny splotches of  Mister Huey's Color Mist in Peppermint to the background and added a piece of ribbon for the tree stump.
Here's one last look at the dimension by popping up some of the paper strips and the acrylic stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you have a chance to grab one of these Holiday kits!!

A New Fall Pocket Page with the "All Fall" Daily Diary Kit

Hello Bloggers! Lynn here today with my latest pocket page using the "All Fall" Daily Diary Kit. Our challenge this week is "Family". Simply - create a project using the word Family. This was easy with this month's kit. Here's my page.
I used the Collect App to print my pics. The cards, die cuts and enamel dots I used this week are from Simple Stories "Hello Fall" collection. I also added some Echo Park "Fall is in the Air" Cardstock Stickers. Here's some close ups.
I love a date stamp (when I don't make a mistake!!)
I little twine on the acorn adds some nice texture.
The Echo Park stickers make great embellishments for the cards.
How cute is this Simple Stories Owl die cut! I just love him! I popped him up with foam tape for dimension so I could layer the feather under him.
Here's where the family comes in. I won't see my whole family until next week so the furry family got together for a photo opp. They all behave so nicely when there's a treat involved!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'd love to see what you create with this amazing kit. Don't have one yet ... there's still a few left in the store - perfect for your Fall photos!!
See you next week with another pocket page and a brand new challenge!

It's All Fall Ya'll!!

Hi Everyone, Lynn here with a pocket page using this month's "All Fall" Daily Diary Kit. There are a few of these amazing kits left in the shop so get 'em while you can - there is a TON of Fall themed product in these kits!! Our challenge this week is called Pumpkin Patch. The challenge is to used patches of paper and incorporate stitching on our projects. Here's my page.
I did some stitching on a few of the cards starting with the title card.
Here's more close ups. The colors of these cards go perfectly with my fall tree pictures. How fun is this card ...
I stitched through the title of the next card.
I added some wonky stitching on the next card.
For the patch part of the challenge I layered copies of the same photo to look like patchwork.
Here's my final card. I used one of the chipboard leaves to add some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great week!!!

Falling Leaves Challenge

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! Lynn here with another Project Life page using this month's "Falloween" Daily Diary Kit.  This will be another Fall themed page and then next week's spread will be all about Halloween. That's how versatile this kit is! The Design Team's challenge this week is "Falling Leaves". We were to use leaves somewhere on our projects. There are PLENTY of leaf embellishments in our kits so this was a breeze! Here's my page.

I used the Pebbles "Woodland Forest" papers and rubber charms for my page. I added a few stickers from Simple Stories as well. Here's the title card - I kept it simple so the leaves would be the focus.

For the next card I placed fun foam under the 4x4 card and that allowed for dimension and also to add the tree stickers under and on top of the card. Fun foam is a GREAT addition to foam tape - it provides uniform coverage (great for card makers) and is inexpensive.
Here's some close ups of the cards. The enamel dots are from my stash and happened to be by Pebbles as well! I'm sure these were from a previous Noel Mignon Kit!! Love when that happens!! I added a Pebbles Rubber Charm Leaf to the pumpkin thankful card.
The leaf paperclip on the next card is from Doodlebug - I had that in my stash.
More rubber charms on the last few cards - these add a nice pop of color and dimension.
Here's the last few cards - the bunny card is my FAV on the page!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll keep checking in this week for more inspiration from the Design Team! Have a great week!
