{Family Time} Challenge with the "Vintage Charm" Classic Kit

Hello!  It's Monday, so that means it's Meridy here sharing a layout with you using the "Vintage Charm" Classic Kit.  This week the design team has been challenged to do layouts showcasing photos of "Family Time".  I decided to do a layout using pictures from December of 2014 of my family playing in the snow.  I chose these photos, because the colors matched really well with the papers in the kit.

I started out designing this layout with a white background piece of paper from my stash.  This white paper had triangles outlined in a pattern across it.  First, I placed the photos in the approximate area I wanted them to be.  Next, I decided to cut coordinating triangles out of some of the patterned paper from this month's kit and place them randomly over some of the existing "outlines" on the background paper.   When I felt both sides of the layout were balanced, I adhered the triangles.

I stamped a few snowflakes using white acrylic paint onto navy cardstock and used a snowflake punch to punch those out.  I also punched some snowflakes from the white and gold woodgrain paper in this month's kit.  These embellishments were fun and simple to make.

I added my title "Snow Day" using the Gold Thickers that came in this month's kit, and the subtitle "On Mount Lemmon" using the mini wood grain alphabet stickers from the kit.

I finished off the layout by tying some of the Twinery gold and white twine around one photo, stamping a few more random mini snowflakes on the background, doing a little journaling right on the background paper, and adding "The Fam" sticker to the right hand side of the layout.

I liked the paper combination so much on this layout, that I decided to do another layout using the same papers, but a different subject.  As a matter of fact, the subject is the exact opposite as the subject in my first layout!  Rather than the winter snow, the next layout is about a summer stream!  I think it's so versatile that I can use this kit to create so many different types of layouts for different seasons!

I really enjoyed mixing fonts, Thickers, mini letter stickers, wood veneers, and some handwriting to create this title.

A small embellishment cluster with a painted wood veneer and a stamped label peeking out from under the photo grounds the collage on the right hand side.

I couldn't wait to use the Pretty Little Studio paper cut apart banner pieces that came in the kit!  Again, the gold and white twine "tied" them together.  A little journaling, a few stickers, and some Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine was all the layout needed to be complete!!!

Thanks for looking at my layouts today, I hope I've inspired you to grab some photos and use your "Vintage Charm" Kit!!!

Frame It Up with the Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit

Hello, Lynn here with my first project life page using this month's "Vintage Charm" Daily Diary Kit. This kit is PACKED with goodies for your pocket pages and there are a few left in the store so grab one while you can. I used lots of Simple Stories "Bloom and Grow" products for my page. Our theme this week is "I've Been Framed" - we are using frames that are included in our kits on our projects. The frames in the Daily Diary kit were bigger than I wanted so I made my own frames using the papers from the kit. Here's my page.
My photos were printed with the Collect App. The three frames on my page were created using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Square Stackables Dies. Here's some close up of the cards.
My title card.
Here's the first frame. I nestled two stackable dies together to create a frame. I popped up a heart die cut and topped the heart off with the fun twine from The Twinery.

Here's the second frame. I went a bit bigger with this one and layered stickers under and over the frame.
Here's the final frame. I used plain white cardstock for this frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and checking out our challenge.
Have a great week and I'll be back next week with another Project Life page!!

Our House with "Vintage Charm" Daily Diary Kit

Howdy Bloggers!! Happy Tuesday! Hope you are all doing well. Lynn here with my first project using this month's "Vintage Charm" Daily Diary Kit. The design team's challenge this week is called "Our House". The challenge is to use a house icon on your project, make your home the subject of your project or make a home decor item. I decided to create a home decor piece using an embroidery hoop. I've done a few of these in the past and they are so much fun. Initially I wrapped the twine included in our kit around the whole hoop - but I wanted the wood of the hoop to show so I decided to use the twine on the inner hoop only. Here's my project.
I used a 6.0" embroidery hoop I bought at Michael's. They come in a variety of sizes and the decoration possibilities are endless! The puppies in the photo are litter mates and are double trouble when they get together. I wish I had half of their energy. Here's a close up of the pretty twine from The Twinery. It coordinates with the papers perfectly!
I added some cardstock stickers to the outside of the hoop frame and some on the inside to add depth.
Here's another close up of the photo and stickers.
We would love to see your projects this week using the challenge. Please upload them to the Noel Mignon Members page on Facebook so we can see work work!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great week. I'll be back next week with a project life page using this month's "Vintage Charm" DD Kit!!

{Our House} Challenge featuring the "Vintage Charm" Classic Kit

Hello Noel Mignon Kit fans!  It's Meridy here today.  This week the Design Team is working on Our House Challenge.  We are either scrapbooking about our homes, or creating home decor with this month's kit.  I chose to scrapbook about a room in my home.

Last summer I was pregnant and decided that we needed to repaint the interior of 2/3 of the house.  We started with the kids' rooms.  My layout this week is about how my daughter helped us paint the stripes in her room.  The colors of the cardstock in this month's "Vintage Charm" Classic Kit matched the paint colors to the T!

Since the cardstock matched so perfectly, that's what I started with, next I pulled patterned papers that also coordinated.  One of my favorites was the gold wood grain paper!!!  Swoon!!!

I used both alphas from the kit to create the title "Maddy's Bedroom Makeover".  I also used the Prima stamp set that came in the kit to make a monochromatic label to tuck in above the title.

I created a small cluster of embellishments and a journaling spot to tell the story.  I even used the "honeycomb" packaging from the scalloped glitter tape.  It was just the shape of a mini Polaroid frame.  I added a little bow made with the Twinery Gold Glitter twine and it looks like it was meant to be an embellishment!

I used a collage print on the second side of my layout so I could fit quite a few pictures (I am really bad at narrowing down pictures---I love them all).

I added a few ruler stickers to both sides of the layout, a Jillibean wood veneer, and the Queen & Co. blue glitter striped dots mimicked the blue painter's tape in my photos perfectly!!!

I finished off the layout with some splatters of the Heidi Swapp Gold mist that came in the kit---this might have been my favorite item this month!!!

And there you have it...my layout is complete...

Thank you for stopping by today!  Stop by the blog all week to see what the rest of the design team did with their "Home Challenge".

while we are on the topic of LOVE

Hello again!

We hope that you have enjoyed playing along with the Book of Love crop and that you have gotten lots of fun projects done this last week.

Today I am continuing on the love theme with a few cards.

Valentine's Day is a big celebration of love but I think it's important that we show our love and appreciation for those dear to us every single day.

All of these cards were made using the February kit, Book of Love.

For this card I used some of the Jillibean Soup banner stickers for the backdrop. I cut the heart from the Jillibean Bite Size Bits paper and added some alphas and a My Mind's Eye epoxy heart to the center. I added a few drops of spray mist as well.

For this card I used part of the Elle's Studio journaling card included in the kit and used the nozzle from my spray mist to color in a couple of the hearts.

I added a Fancy Pants sticker and finished with the Jilibean heart balloon and My Mind's Eye epoxy heart.

The striped paper was one of my favorites from the kit! I like the happy red and pink mixed with the mint, yellow and gray. I first used the blush mist Color Shine mist from Heidi Swapp on the white cardstock background, then added the striped paper and another of the Elle's Studio cards on this one.

To finish off the card I added some of the cute white and sparkly red twine knotted at the ends and a few punched shapes.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

I will be back next Sunday for one last project for the month.
