Arlo

Hey all, Michelle here. I'm sharing a layout today about our new dog. We stopped in Petsmart last week...and that was our first mistake! You see, we already have 2 dogs. Two big dogs - a lab and a golden. So we really didn't need another dog. And my husband was out of town on the other side of the world. In other words, I had no one at home that was going to give me the stink eye when I came home with another furry creature ;) And the kids said 'let's go look at the dogs'. Oh yeah, big mistake! This little guy just looked at us so sweetly and it was all over.
I gotta say, I'm not a little dog person. I mean, they're sweet and all. But I've always been a big dog gal at heart. I love their big faces that you can squish in your hands. But this little guy, he had to some home with us. So we named him Arlo. And if you're a Disney fan, yes we got the name from The Good Dinosaur :) My oldest actually came up with it and it just fit.

So this is Arlo. And we now have 3 dogs in the house. Let the games begin!
I used papers from the Pure Bliss Classic kit and added to my page with elements from previous kits, mostly the Sweet Charlotte Classic kit. I used a 2" circle punch to cut out the circles from the Pink Paislee paper.

And that chipboard dog sticker...that was the perfect finish!

Pure Bliss: Just Plain Fishy

Jana Eubank here! I can't believe it's the last week of May?!! Where has this school year gone?! I don't know about you, but the Pure Bliss kit has been getting me excited for the fun colors, sites and sounds of Summer. Today I have a final page to share with you using this fun kit!

JUST PLAIN FISHY

Our design team challenge this week is to "Shape Up for Summer" ... where we were to pick a shape and repeat it on our project.

I have been making an effort lately to go back through older photos and fill in the gaps that are remaining in my albums. These fun fish pictures of my son come from a trip we took back in 2012. I thought the circle would be a PERFECT shape to repeat on this page because it reminds me of fish bubbles and water bubbles! Here is what I came up with.

I punched several circles from the Pink Paislee circle paper ... it was so much fun to have all kinds of patterns at my fingertips on just one sheet of paper! It made it really easy to pick and choose which ones I wanted to work with. Here, I focused on the patterns of blue, green, yellow, and gray.

I added a couple of Pink Paislee buttons to the top 2 circles for a bit more interest.

My title was created with stickers I pulled from my stash. I used the gold foil My Mind's Eye stickers to mimic bubbles and give the title a bit more pizazz!

The tags tucked in around the layout come from a package of My Mind's Eye On Trend 2 die cuts. I tied them with white twine to add brightness and texture. My journaling is printed on white cardstock to go with the white I used elsewhere on the page.

This wood circle was the same exact size of the punched circles I used on the background. It was a great way to bring the circle shape over to the left side of my layout.

Are you feeling stuck in your scrapping this week? Why not try repeating a shape on your next project and you, too, can get in "shape" for summer! (Now THAT'S my kind of workout! Ha!)

See you next time!

More Shaping Up Going On!

Hello Everyone. Lynn here on the last day of May - can you believe it?!?! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend! I spent time with my family and was lucky to visit some puppies on Saturday, one of which will be my Mom's shortly. Man, they were so sweet! I need a dog soon - I miss my Simba so much and it's quite empty without a dog. I'm working on it!!
Today I'm sharing my last layout using the fabulous "Pure Bliss" Classic Kit. Our challenge this week is Shape Up For Summer! No pressure, no gym fees or sweating - just repeat a shape on your project. I chose a hexagon shape. I used a hexagon punch to create a background for my photo and embellishments. Here's my page - another 8.5 x 11 size!
The background came together easily once I got started! I clustered some embellishments and ribbon around the photo.

The title fit perfectly around the hexagons - like it was meant to be! LOVE when that happens. I stitched through the dream part of the title for a little texture.
I added some splatters of Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine as a finishing touch!
Thanks so much for stopping by and we hope you join us in this week's challenge. Have a great week!

Shape up for Summer..."Pure Bliss" Classic Kit

Hello!  It's  Meridy here, with a 2 page layout to share with you today.  As a design team, we are 'Shaping up for Summer' by creating layouts with a repeating shape in them this week.  I'm working with the "Pure Bliss" Classic Kit today.  I choose to work with circles

I started my layout using patterned paper with a circle motif across the bottom of the layout.  After I added my photos and patterned paper across the top of my layout, I pulled in a circular journaling block and popped it up on pop dots, creating a little dimension on my layout.

As I searched through the embellishments in this kit, I found plenty of other circle elements to add.  I started with the faux sequins, then a few buttons.  Next, I grabbed 2 of the printed wood veneers, flipped them over to the blank side, masked them off with washi tape and painted a portion of them.  After the paint dried, I removed the washi mask and had a totally different looking embellishment!

I added a few of the Queen and Company pink glitter dots, to give the layout a little sparkle.  Finally, I added small dollops of Stickles from the kit to tie all of the circle embellishments together.  This "rounds" out my layout, and I feel that it is complete!

Thank you for joining me today, check back all week to see how the rest of the Design Team is 'Shaping up for Summer'!!!!

Last Pure Bliss for May

Can you believe that May is soon coming to an end?

It's been a great month but it has gone by so quickly for me.

The kids are done with school and now summer plans are in full-swing.

I love summertime, chances to just relax and hang out with my family, chances to maybe sleep in once in a while. Ha ha. It's a nice idea, anyway, but with four kids that doesn't happen very often.

Today I have one last layout using the beautiful Pure Bliss kit before I did in and work with our new kit for June ♥

Our challenge this week was to either go big or small with an element on our page and I chose to go LARGE!

I started my page off by freehanding a large number two on white cardstock and then cut it out with a craft knife. I wanted to fill in the negative space with strips of paper but guess what? There is a piece of patterned paper in the Pure Bliss kit that looks like strips of paper so I saved myself TONS of time by using that instead. I simply adhered a piece of paper to the back of the 2 with washi tape and added a little bit of glue to the parts that weren't quite stuck down enough.

I also added a piece of the cute sparkly pink tape from the kit to the top of my layout and some strips of patterned paper to the bottom part of the page.

Because I don't know how to leave white cardstock plain white I added some splatters of spray ink for some color on my background. I used the cute Paige Evans Thickers for my title.

This is a picture of my silly oldest girls trying on sunglasses while we ordered new prescription lenses for them. They always love posing for me, and it makes a fun picture for my page ☺

I added some cute pink glittery arrow stickers to bring attention to the picture.

Lastly I added a little aqua button to top off the paper strips as well as some handwritten journaling.

Have a wonderful weekend!

stage show

Hey all, Michelle here! I have the box containing the new Happy Days classic kit sitting on my desk but I have not opened it yet because I still have lots of the Pure Bliss classic kit leftover. I know I'll get distracted once I open that new box of Noel Mignon goodies for sure!! It's a good distraction, right ;)
So for today's layout I pulled out some of the fun papers from the Pure Bliss kit & got to documenting my 4 yr old and her imagination that makes me smile every day :)

My photos on this page aren't directly of my daughter but I think do a good job of telling the story of her 'stage show' that she set up with her toys. These are the stories that I love to document and rremember over the years.
I picked the Pink Paislee pink watercolor paper as the background for my photos so that I could journal right on the paper. I also played a little with that pink glittery washi which was surprisingly thin and easy to work with (doesn't it seem like it'd be thick??)

I also love that white floral ribbon in the kit so I added that at the top of my page for a bit more texture on the page.

So who's ready to play with the Happy Days kits?? I know I am!!!

Pure Bliss: Lazy Days

Hi Guys! Jana Eubank here with my "Big or Little" page for the challenge this week.

My kids LOVE swimming with their cousins whenever we go on vacation with them ... they do it ALL day long ... so I decided to place a couple of large heart die cuts behind my title on the following layout.

LAZY DAYS

I used the Pure Bliss Classic kit along with some My Mind's Eye On Trend 2 die cuts. It's hard to tell here, but the gold elements on this page just make these swimming photos sparkle!

I accented the two large heart die cuts with more hearts ... the gold heart stickers found on the gold sticker sheet of the On Trend 2 stickers included with the Pure Bliss kit.

The coral grosgrain ribbon underscores my photo grouping perfectly with a bright pop of color. Combined with a few layered stickers and die cuts, this part of the page is full of lots of interest.

I adore the Pink Paislee buttons included with the kit. I tied them with white twine and sprinkled them throughout the page for dimension. I just love all the different colors, textures, shapes, and sizes in this pack.

Summer is right around the corner and the Pure Bliss kit has been instrumental in helping me get in the mood with all of its juicy colors!

What projects have you created this month with the Pure Bliss Classic Kit?

See you again soon!

The "Pure Bliss" Continues!!

Hello Bloggers! Lynn here with another page using this month's "Pure Bliss" Classic Kit. Our challenge this week is Big or Little. Simply, use a big element or a little element on you page. I decided to go BIG with this challenge. I created a 8.5 x 11 layout this week. I love changing it up once in awhile and I love having different sized pages in my scrapbooks. This layout has a single photo that means alot to me as you can see in the journaling. Here's my page.
Each square has layered papers and embellishments. The Big on my page is the paperclip - it's the biggest one in my stash!! Here's close ups of each card.
I printed this photo with my Collect App and I love that the date is on the photo!! (I tend to forget to date my pages - bad me!!)
Here's the paperclip photo - can you see the paperclip ok ? LOL!! I added a small piece of gold foiled vellum to add more depth to the layers.
Here's the next card. The journaling was typed out on my vintage typewriter which I use ALOT!!
Here's the final card. I tucked some gold thread under the circle to tie in with the gold foiled ellum paper. I love these thickers included in this month's Classic Kit!
Thanks so much for stopping by and come join us in this week's challenge. Please upload your pages to the Noel Mignon Member Page - we'd LOVE to see what you create.
Have a great week and i'll see you next week!

BIG or little..."Pure Bliss" Classic Kit

Hello, it's Meridy here!  This week's theme is BIG or little and I am working with the "Pure Bliss" Classic Kit.

I decided to go with little for this layout, and took my cue from the AMAZING "Laundry" paper by Basic Grey in this month's kit.  As I was first going through my kit I noticed this super cute paper with little tiny laundry symbols on it.  You know, the symbols that are on clothing tags that tell you how to wash and dry your clothing?  This patterned paper had those symbols in miniature printed all over it...and guess what?  I JUST redid my laundry area last summer, AND I had taken before and after photos.  So I guess I was just waiting for this paper!!!  Oh, and bonus---the paper was the same shade of light blue that I painted the laundry room!  How perfect was that!!?!

In this photo, you can see the little laundry symbols on the background paper...I also used some of the faux sequins, a button, and of course the little letter stickers by MME.

I loved that all of the pieces in this kit just worked with my layout.  The glitter foam stickers from Pinkfresh Studio made the perfect title and the glittered arrow helps in drawing your eye from the title back up to the photos. A few more faux sequins, some paper layers, and even a couple of branding strips of paper made this layout complete!

Thank you so much for joining me today...I would love to see how you used BIG or little elements on your most recent layouts.   You can share them over on our Noel Mignon Members Facebook page.

Have a great week!!!

Pure Bliss: 5

Happy Saturday!

It's Becky with you today to share another layout for our number challenge.

For my project I chose the number 5.

It is hard to believe that my youngest is now 5 years old- do any of you feel like the time just goes by too quickly? It sure has for me with my sweet kids.

For my page I used this month's Pure Bliss Classic Kit and the colors are perfect for my girly girl who loves to dress up and be "fancy."

Our challenge for this week was to include a number somewhere on our page. I took this challenge as an opportunity to use up some of my collection of number stickers by using some from the Pure Bliss kit and other past Noel Mignon kits as well as some from my personal stash. I think it adds a fun visual element to my page.

I used lots of embellishments including the Paige Evans chipboard that was available as a shop item. The labels across the top of the page are from the My Mind's Eye sticker pack, which I love because you get SO many stickers!

I finished off the page with some handwritten journaling.

I kinda really like how this page turned out with all of the number 5s. My kids have so much fun looking back at old pictures of themselves and I know this page will be one that makes Lily smile down the road when she is older. Yikes. I am not ready for that.

Please come visit us on the Noel Mignon Members page on Facebook and share your projects with us.

Soon we will be revealing the new kit so stay tuned!

♥♥

Pure Bliss: Fourteen

Hello, friends! It's Jana Eubank here, back to share my take on the "All in the Numbers" challenge this week. What better subject to scrap with numbers, than a birthday page? Here are some snapshots of my daughter on her 14th birthday using the Pure Bliss Classic Kit.

FOURTEEN

I was drawn to the bright colors of the My Mind's Eye On Trend 2 collection papers from the kit and used the geometric triangle paper ("Tribe" paper) for my background here. I cut thin strips of the diagonally striped "Elegant" paper and adhered them along the triangles for emphasis.

I picked up the On Trend 2 die cuts on my own and used those to layer around my photos. The gold numbers were included in the die cut pack and make a perfect title here! I used the Queen & Co. green acrylic flowers from the kit to add a bit more sparkle and interest.

I LOVE the bright coral grosgrain ribbon that came in the kit ... it adds such a luxurious texture to this page tied around my photos. At the bottom of the page, I typed out the journaling on white cardstock and rounded the bottom two corners.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my page today! I'll see you again soon!
