{Time for a Swim} Layout with the "Big Splash" Classic Kit

Hello friends!  Now that summer is in full swing, I am so excited to be working with "The Big Splash" Classic Kit.  I think there are still 2 more of these amazing kits available in the store.  I'm so sad that this will be Noel's final kit, but I'm going to make the most of it!!!

I absolutely loved the "Marco Polo" paper in this kit, and knew I wanted to use it right away!!!  So it became the background paper of the first layout I made with the kit.  I pulled the light blue from the water on the paper and matted it on light blue paper.

I wanted to pull out the red, black, and gold color on the paper too.  So that's how I chose the papers to use in the layers behind the photos.  The ombre gold ribbon in the kit was so beautiful, I added a strip down the left hand side of the layout.  I layered the ribbon with a couple of border punch strips with inked edges to add a little more texture to the layout.

Next, it was time for me to add a title.  I really wanted to use the pink Thickers that came in the kit, but when I had the whole page completed, the pink looked a bit off to me.  So I colored right over the pink with a red sharpie for a perfectly matching title.

All 3 of the embellishment clusters contained a stamped phrase on yellow paper, some enamel dots, and a puffy sticker from the kit.  I also threw in some stickers, a chipboard sticker, and the date using the glitter alphabet stickers.

I really loved working with these supplies from the kit and using a bit of an eclectic and unique color scheme for swimming photos.  Thanks for stopping by today!

{5 Years} with the "So Sweet" Kits

Happy Monday!  It's Meridy here today.  I have a layout to share with you using the "So Sweet" Daily Diary and paper add kits.  I went back to pictures from 2011 of my 5th Anniversary for this layout.

I started out by picking the patterned paper that I felt matched my photos to best, and started layering it on the page to form the base of the layout.  Next, I used some of the 6x6 patterned papers from the Daily Diary kit to layer underneath the photo cluster. I cut apart a couple of the mini cards that read "You & Me Forever" and "My Heart Belongs to You" to use as embellishments on the layout.

Next, I added a journaling card and my journaling.  Then it was time for a title.  The beautiful gold Thickers make for an easy title and subtitle, so I went with it!  The gold hearts on the Thickers sheet were another easy embellishment to sprinkle around the page.  I also placed some of the typed phrase stickers around the page to add a little more detail.

I like the little bits and pieces I was able to use, such as washi tape and branding strips from the 6x6 paper pad, they just are just the perfect small accents to add to layouts.

Thank you for stopping by today!!!

{Water Baby} with the "High Five" Kit

Hello friends!  I cannot wait to share this layout with you.  I used the "High Five" Daily Diary Kit and Paper Add-On.  I think there are still a couple of these kits in the store.  This background wave paper is so amazing, I couldn't wait to use it up!  I found these photos of my baby's first time in a pool and knew right away that they would work with this kit.

Now, since I was so anxious to use these Thickers on every layout, I was running out of some very important letters, such as the letter "A".  I wanted to title this layout "Water Baby", so I used the teal letter stickers from last month's kit to spell out "water" and the ombre Thickers to spell out "baby".  I decided to turn a "V" upside down and thought that it read just fine as an "a".  I think it totally works!

All of the cute stickers in this kit were perfect for this layout!  And those orange-red sequins are AMAZING!  Thankfully there are plenty of sequins in the pack and I can use them on lots and lots of future layouts.

I tried to put the stickers in small clusters, overlapping one another, so they packed a punch and looked "grounded".  I also added in some yellow lollies and some teal puffy stickers from the kit to round off the embellishment clusters.

Thank you for stopping by!  I would love to see what summery things you have created with your "High Five" kits on the Noel Mignon Members Facebook page or on Instagram #NoelMignon

{Valentine's Preparations} with the "Happy Together" Classic Kit

Hello all!  It's Meridy here today to share one last layout with the "Happy Together" Classic Kit.  I decided to scrap one more set of Valentine's pictures with this kit.

The bright colors in the papers in this kit really pulled in the colors from the photos I had of my kids creating their Valentine's cards for their classmates.

I started with the colorful background paper, and really wanted it to stand out on the layout, but it was a little too busy for my photos, so instead I decided to use it to mat my entire layout.  Next, I layered up a few other patterned papers and cardstock to build up my photos and make them stand out.  I wanted to use those cute banner stickers from the Pebbles sticker sheet, but they were not large enough to fit all of my journaling.  Instead I placed the banner stickers on the background, and built up some white strips of paper that were a little longer than the banner stickers and added my journaling to those.

I used both alphabets from the "Happy Together" Classic Kit to create my title.  I also added a few of the Pebbles stickers and puffy stickers to embellish my title a bit.  Finally, I outlined most of the layers and stickers with a thin black marker to make them really "pop".

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I would love to see what you made with your "Happy Together" kits!

Hello March, Let's Take A Leap!

Hello Bloggers and Happy March 1st! Lynn here with a new project using the awesome "Heart of Gold" Classic Kit. In honor of Leap Year our week long challenge is "Take a LEAP of Faith". We are trying something new to us - a new technique or page design we haven't tried before. I have recently joined the planner craze so I thought I would used some elements from this month's kit to create some planner pages. I haven't done this with our kits before, but I'm not sure why. It's a great way to stretch these kits even more. I used many embellishments to decorate this weeks pages in my planner. Here's this week's spread in my A5 planner.
This planner is dedicated to my design team deadlines and blogging schedules. It's my creative planner. I have a separate planner for personal stuff - appointments, get togethers, etc. We received an adorable butterfly clip in this month's classic kit. I removed the clamp and replaced it with a paperclip to put on the top of my page. I layered washi tape and stickers throughout my layout.
The epoxy stickers made great bullets for my lists.
I have left room for lots more documenting and then I can go back and add more embellishments later. I used some number stickers for the dates and they also added more pops of gold.
To tie the pages together I lined up some washi tape to carry it across both pages.
Here's another closeup of the bottom of my page
I will definitely decorate more planner pages with my kits and I hope this gave you some ideas for your planner pages so you can Take a Leap and try something new!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and stay tuned for more inspiration for the team! Happy Tuesday!!

playing with stickers

Hello!

It's Becky Williams with you here again and today I am going to share a layout that shows off the cute stickers in our July Sweet & Simple kit.

I like the look of layouts with strips of paper as the background behind the photographs and so I decided to create the same effect with the October Afternoon stickers in the kit.

I layered a couple of the patterned papers (burlap and aqua polka dot) for my base and then grabbed the sheet of border stickers and layered them this way and that varying the lengths each time. I think that it gives a fun, playful look to my page.

From there I added a small block of striped paper from one of the Simple Stories patterned papers, layered my photos and a chipboard frame.

Here I used lots more stickers! I mixed in some cute buttons and a Chic Tags balloon rub-on. The metal heart is from one of the metal embellishments, I just twisted until I got just the heart part that I wanted. I used foam adhesive on some of the stickers to help them stand out a bit.

Have you used the stickers in the kit?

We'd love to see!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Are you ready for summer vacation?

It's the end of the school year for most of our kids and if your children are like mine they are counting down the days until they are FREE!

This week we've had awards assembly after awards assembly and today was both kindergarten graduation (for my 3rd) and the last day of preschool for my 4th so this post is a bit late but I hope it's worth it!

My kids love school and do well there but they are more than ready for summer vacation, time to relax, time to play, time to sleep in and do lots of fun things.

For my layout this week I decided to do something I don't usually do- create a photo-less page.

Have you ever tried that?

Our theme this week is "end of the school year" and I thought it would be fun to create a layout about what our plans are for summertime so I gathered my kids together and we came up with our "bucket list" of things to do while they are out of school. Of course we might not get to all of these things but it sure is fun to think about!

I created this page using the Carousel kit from this month:

I used that beautiful Pink Paislee paper for my background, topped it off with some white cardstock with edges painted with spray mist. I like that it helps set apart the patterned paper from the cardstock.

I added a small banner piece to the top of the page along with a rose that I cut from the Dear Lizzy paper. I also added one of these roses to the bottom of the page. I added glue in spots and then some of the cool pink glitter from the kit. This adds lots of sparkle to my page to go along with the glitter alphas and frame that I also used on the layout.

After adding some spray mist splatters (you can find some in the Noel Mignon store here) I used the nozzle to draw some lines for my journaling. Here is where I put that pack of My Mind's Eye alpha and phrase stickers to work on my page in a major way. This is a fun way to spice up your journaling and give it some pop!

I added some enamel hearts from Chickaniddy here and there and some bits of Glitz washi tape.

Have you created your bucket list for this summer vacation?

Have you been creating with this or other Noel Mignon kits?

We'd love to see what you've been making!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Noel Mignon today!
