My Crazy Crew

Hey all! I'm pretty excited because the Dive In Classic Kit arrived in my mailbox yesterday! And rather than share what I had already worked on I just *had* to pull the kit out & create something! Tell me I'm not the only one who does that the second their Noel Mignon kit arrives in the mail??!!
Anyway, I had found this photo from Mother's Day a couple years ago and set to creating my page!
There are so, so, so many fun embellishments in this kit. I know I say this every time but this kit in particular has blown me away and it was so much fun to play with!

Cards with the Spring Fling Classic Kit

Hello, Nicole here on the blog today.  I decided to use my last post of the month to share a few cards  that I put together with odds and ends from the kit.  I decided to pull all the bright pinks from the kit to put together this card.  The transparency, washi, and ribbon.  The sentiment I pulled from the stamp set and I layered this on top of the Prima flowers.  I love the soft feminine look!

I also used a bit of transparency from my stash to stamp the flower stamps and then cut them out and placed them behind the paper daisies.

The card I challenged myself to use the stickers for the sentiment and embellishments.

I used foam adhesive under some of the leaves to add a bit of dimension to the large flower sticker.

Lastly I decided to use a circle punch and I covered it with the phrase stickers on the Dear Lizzy sticker sheet.  I then trimmed the overhang and attached it with foam adhesive.  I also used the bonjour sticker as my sentiment and used foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping over to the blog today.
Happy Scrapping!

{CWE PTSA} Layout with the "Spring Fling" Daily Diary Kit

Happy Memorial Day, for those of you living in the USA!

If you like scrapping patriotic events, Memorial Day parties, 4th of July festivities, or military photos, Noel has a Limited Edition "All Star" Kit.  This is not a monthly kit, but can be purchased separately via this link.

I wanted to share that beautiful kit, before jumping into my layout for today!

It's Meridy here, I am sharing a 12x12 layout that I created with the "Spring Fling" Daily Diary Kit.  This is the last layout I made with this kit, and I created it using leftover scraps and bits and pieces.

I used a couple of pictures from the beginning of last school year, I paired them with coordinating patterned papers from the Daily Diary Kit and the paper add on pack.  Since I didn't have very many papers left, I used 2 branding strips across the top along with the yellow and white washi from the kit.

After I choose which papers to use, I began to arrange them on the layout, I used the striped paper as the anchor for my design and built up from there.  I used the "Hello" chipboard and the "you got this girl" 3x4 card as sort of a sub title.  I also added some flair from a previous kit, and fussy cut the "less Monday" & "more Friday" from a paper in this month's kit.

I did have to use some alpha stickers from my stash for my "CWE PTSA 2016-2017" title.  They matched the rest of the layout really well, so I decided to use them.  There was a cute 4x6 card with pencils in this month's kit.  I wanted to use it on this layout, but I was running out of room, so I decided to fussy cut the pencils from the card, pop them up with pop dots, and use them as embellishments!  I love how they turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a great week.  See you next week where I'll be using the "Dive In" kit!

Wild & Free- Arrow Sign Project (Spring Fling Kit)

It's been a while since I made a project that's not a memory based page, so I thought it would be fun to make something out of this small hook/frame that I found in the clearance section of Hobby Lobby.

I love making rough paper piecings... the raw edges, the crooked lines... it speaks to me. Something there is very handmade looking to me, and I love it.

The Spring Fling kit had so many lovely "free spirited" bits in it that made this the perfect project. I'm hoping to redecorate my two youngest daughters' bedroom this summer with an "adventure/free spirit" kind of vibe to it. This sign will be perfect for them to hang some jewelry or purses from.

I hope you enjoyed my little project! Next up: summer time pieces with the new Dive In kit (5 left!)

Unicorn - May Spring Fling DD Kit

Hey!  Sarah here with my last layout using the May Spring Fling Daily Diary kit.  Who else got a Unicorn Frappaccino when Starbucks had them?  I sure did and it was good.  I didn't enjoy the sour aspect quite as much, but overall I enjoyed the drink.

I love that some of the papers and embellishments in the kit went perfectly with the theme I was going for.  I printed the picture to a 4x4 and printed out that Starbucks image I found online.  For the layering around the photo, I used two 4x6 project life cards and a scrap from one of the 6x6 papers.

I used an old Studio Calico coffee stain stamp and pink and purple inks to create these coffee stain clusters (none included in the kit).  The purple flowers from the kit were on a "vine" so I cut them off and scattered them around the stain stamps.  I also loved that "Ain't Life Grand" flair badge since the drink in the picture is a grande size.

I immediately knew I wanted to use this Dear Lizzy sentiment Thicker on this page.  Many people were "mad" about the drink or thought it was a dumb idea.  I didn't - I totally bought into it, lol!

The purple glitter Thickers are from my stash, but I HAD to use them here!  And I finished off the layout with a wood veneer and puffy stickers from the kit.

I love how whimsical this layout turned out and how girly it looks for that pink and purple drink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  If you have photos of this drink, I encourage you to use your May kit with it, it's awesome!

lots and lots of embellishments

Our designer challenge this week is to use lots of embellishments on our project.

While I tend to use a variety of embellishments on my page, I kinda piled them on for this layout to show you just how many are included in Noel's kits.

Here is my layout for this week using the Spring Fling Classic Kit

My favorite embellishment is usually something made from patterned paper and here I used thin strips to make a border for my page.

I apologize for the crummy pictures; I still need to replace my camera battery charger and the ones from my phone camera just aren't cutting it.

I added lots of heart and phrase stickers along with these cute flowers, the tiny wooden shapes from Jillibean soup and a fun flower border under my photos. I used a cute glitter bow and a mix of tapes (the gold is from my own crafty stash, the other two are from kits). I used a marker for the puffy alpha so that the lettering would stand out better on my page than just the white alpha included in the kit. The ink dried surprisingly fast.

Here is another close-up shot of the cute embellishments. I loved these little black and white puffy hearts.

Have a wonderful day!

hello spring!

I don't know about anyone else but I absolutely love spring! Now the pollen is an entirely different topic all together but I digress...

Every year I look forward to the day when my favorite nursery opens so I can wander through all of the beautiful flowers envisioning all of the color I can add to my yard...especially after the very long winter we had this year! I always make sure to take a picture of my cart full of flowers - all of those flowers together are just gorgeous :)
This is a pretty simple spread using the Spring Fling Daily Diary Kit (only 2 left!) As I've said before, the kits are designed so that you don't really have to think much about your pages. Everything is right there for you!

Band Geek with the Spring Fling Classic Kit

Hi all!  Nicole here on the blog today to share my latest layout with the Spring Fling Classic kit.  This weeks theme is embellishments.  Noel always includes a great mix of embellishments each month and this time around the embellishments inspired the layout.  My son is a huge bank geek.  He really established that this school year.  I decided to use the Jillibean wood veneer check marks in my journaling to highlight a few things that make him a band geek.

The base cardstock I pulled from last months Let's Get Lost Kit.  I really wanted a dark base to help showcase the bright colors in this months kit.  I used my silhouette to cut my title.

I backed the large part of the title with a music staff die cut (cut with my Silhouette) and pattern paper.  I used a mix of the cardstock star stickers and wood veneer to sprinkle stars along the staff.  I decided after all my embellishing was done I wanted to make the word BAND stand out more so I used the yellow paint around the edges of each letter.  The word sticker "literally" is from the Dear Lizzy sticker sheet and was a fun addition to the cut title.

My pictures and journaling blocks I set up in Photoshop and printed.  Once attached to my layout I added the check marks to each box and finished with some of the Elle's studio cut aparts and cardstock stickers.

There you have it my layout about my band geek son.  I love that products and embellishments can lead the design of a layout.  How are the embellishments in this months kit inspiring you?

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Come back tomorrow for even more inspiration!

{Live Wild and Free} with the "Spring Fling" Daily Diary Kit

Hello friends!  It's Meridy here, working with the "Spring Fling" Daily Diary kit and the 12x12 paper add on.  This week the design team is featuring EMBELLISHMENTS on our layouts.  We are trying to use quite a few embellishments from Noel Mignon kits on our layouts.  I typically love using embellishments, so this was right up my alley!

I decided to scrap some photos of my kids at the splash pad last summer.  I love the navy color that is so trendy right now.  It looks excellent, and really pops when paired with soft, bright colors, like the salmon, yellow, and white on this layout.

First, I matted my photos into a strip, and placed them approximately where I wanted them to go on the layout.  Next, I began embellishing.  The first "embellishment" I made, was punched hexagons from the patterned papers.  I using those hexagons as the base for my layout.  I punched them in 2 different sizes, and placed them randomly across the layout until it looked balanced to me.

My next step was to add the title.  I used the chipboard that came in the Daily Diary kit.  The word "LIVE" kind of got lost on the white background paper, so I decided to mat it on some navy cardstock.  After I did that, it really popped!!!

I embellished the title with a yellow chipboard heart and a few enamel dots that I had left over from an older Noel Mignon kit.  The color scheme matched perfectly.

I added a wood veneer embellishment and a few more enamel dots to the upper right side of the layout, to balance out that area, and add a little interest to those few hexagons.

Finally, I decided to embellish my strip of photos a bit, I used some of the yellow washi tape that came in this month's kit, a few stamps that I had in my stash, and again, some enamel dots.

That wraps up my layout for today.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great week :)

My Loves- Spring Fling Stamping fun!

Good morning my ladies! I'm working with the beautiful Spring Fling kit... and I absolutely LOVED the stamps in the kit this month and wanted to feature them on a layout!

I used a combo of fussy cutting, stickers, and stamping for this cluster of embellishments.

I wanted to make a fun border with the word stamps - I love how it turned out! Have you used your stamps yet?
