Vacay - Enjoy the Journey Daily Diary kit!

Hi everyone! Julie here with you today sharing what I created with the "Enjoy the Journey" Daily Diary kit!

I had some random photos leftover from our family trip to California and Las Vegas a few years ago, so I used this kit to create a mini-album from that trip! Over the next few Thursdays, I will be sharing different pages from this album! :)

Fairy Garden

I'm taking it back to the Vintage Spring Classic Kit for this layout! My daughter has been wanting a fairy garden for what seems like forever. And earlier this month I found a bird bath that was perfect for her little garden!
The Vintage Spring Classic kit is sold out but there's a couple Daily Diary kits left that you can pair with the Vintage Spring papers!

A few layouts using the Enjoy the Journey Classic Kit

Hello everyone!  The diversity of the kit this month is great.  It can easily be used for vacation/travel themed layouts as well as layouts of the everyday.  I pulled out items from the kit and used them to document a day that I was feeling extremely grateful.  I recently saw this statement on Instagram lately and knew I wanted to use it for my title.

Really this layout is all about the title and journaling.  I pulled some of the stickers to embellish the title and then printed off a few pictures that supported my journaling.  I finished off using a few strips of pattern paper, washi tape, and stickers around the perimeter of my layout that helped "frame" in my title and journaling.

Once I had finished with that layout I decided to use more of the kit.  This time using a twist on a travel themed title.  We moved into our house 6 months ago in the fall and could see the previous owners had put a lot of time and love into the landscaping.  What we didn't realize is the extent of their green thumbs.  This layout is about how I hope to have a green thumb myself and I am jumping in trying to embrace it all.

The beautiful June kit just arrived this afternoon and I'm excited to start creating with it.

Happy Scrapping!

{Explore} Layout with the "Enjoy the Journey" Classic Kit

Hi friends!  It's Meridy here today with you and I have my last layout with the "Enjoy the Journey" Classic Kit to share with you today.  I really love how this kit is so versatile and works with travel photos, outdoor photos, and in this case, hiking photos.

I wanted to use lots of the patterned paper from this kit, so I decided to use strips of it as a background and built up the layers from there.

Next, I matted my photos on white cardstock and put them in place so I could start adding embellishments.  I did use a few brads that I had in my stash.  I also used a heart punch and some chipboard stickers from the kit.

The Thickers from this month's kit added texture to the embellishment clusters, and the mini blue alphabet stickers went really well with the Thickers to complete these subtitles.

I used the "Explore" chipboard sticker for the main title across the bottom of the layout.

The final touches of the layout were some journaling lines that I drew on the upper left hand side of the layout, and the brown trim from the kit added some texture to the upper right hand side of the layout.  Under the ribbon I used the mini roller stamp to stamp some "adventure" theme phrases.  And that finished off the layout.  Thank you for stopping by today!!!

Rock Climbing: Enjoy the Journey Daily Diary Kit

Hi!  Sarah here with my last layout using the May Enjoy the Journey daily diary kit.  This one plays off the layout I made last week about the Science Spectrum Museum.  This is a fun little rock wall inside the museum.  The girls saw it and jumped right on it.

I used the cool yellow ombre paper from the kit for my background and backed it with a brown cardstock.  The 6x6 butterfly paper was perfect because one of my daughter's shirts has butterflies all over it.  I cut a card from one of the cut apart sheets for an added embellishment.

I really like how the arrows on the card point to the picture in different ways.  I added a yellow heart die cut to the card over the camera lens.

I cut out a banner from one of the 6x6 papers and popped it up for the corner of the photo.  I really like that added detail.

I used some cork Thickers from my stash for my title.  The circle embellishment looks like it has mountains on it, which fits perfectly by the title and fits perfect with my theme.

Thanks so much for joining us today!  We'd love to see what you're creating with your May kits!

travel pocket pages

Last week I shared a couple layouts from my vacation album and this week I'm sharing a few pocket pages that are supplementing those layouts. Traditional layouts were created using the Enjoy the Journey Classic kit and the pocket pages were created using the Enjoy the Journey Daily Diary Kit.

So here is one of the layouts I shared last week:
And here is a pocket page to go along with that layout (all pages are 9x12):

And here is how they will look together in my album.

Here is another layout I shared last week:

And a few pocket pages to go along with that page. A Christmas Story House was a definite favorite so we I took lots of photos ;)

If you love the movie you must go see the house & museum!!

As I finish up my vacation album I might move things around a bit, add some more pocket pages, etc. But this is how they will look together so far:
I've found that I like to create one layout (almost like a title page) and then add pocket pages for all of my extra photos rather than creating a traditional 2 page layout. Having a variety of different pages adds visual interest to my albums!
