A little mix

Good Morning! I don't know about you but we are gearing up for the Saints game today. WHO DAT! I live in Saints Nation and this season has been crazy and I am totally loving it.

Anyway on to scrappy stuff: I have a whole alphabet of wooden letters from deb over at Say It with Letters and i really didn't have a need for the X so I decided to make something "lovey" for Melana's teacher. Truly I don't dig Valentines Day AT ALL so this was way outside my element. LOL...anyway just a little something. I painted the letters and then used the Shimmerz Blingz (love that stuff) over the top and added some embellishments and ribbon using the paper doll kit (sold out)

The next was a hat i picked up right after thanksgiving at Hobby Lobby for 90% off so i think i paid like .60 for it. I love when i can find deals like that. I covered it with paper and a few embellishments from the Mill Street Kit. I figured this year for thanksgiving i can hang it in my kitchen with the rest of my goodies i have made throughout the year for the walls and such to replace my everyday pictures.

Thanks for looking.

Quick LO and Some Title Ideas!

I had this cute photo of my lil nephew from Christmas sitting on my desk. I decided to use my Mill Street kit. I love taking holiday photos and isolating some of them to use with non holiday papers. (Because honestly, I get a bit bored using Christmas papers for ALL of my Christmas photos!) Pretty simple, fast page!

I have to admit that titles just ain't my thing.....I struggle with them constantly.

And then it hit me like a ton of bricks! (pun totally intended here! LOL!) .......remember learning similes and metaphors in grade school? You know....making comparisons with things that normally you don't have a thing in common with?
Like.....Her Smile is as Sweet as a lullaby.
Her heart was as big as the moon.
Flaky as a snowstorm.
He moved like lightening.
He is a speeding bullet.
Smart as a whip.
Happy as a lark.
Easy as pie.
Right as rain.
Good as gold.
Sly as a fox.
A clean slate
Sends my thoughts soaring.
A world turned upside down.
Void in their heart.
Abandon the road.
Birds of a feather flock together.

I could list more......but instead here are a couple of websites for similes and metaphors. SoulfulExpressions, Similes

Have a great Wednesday!

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. I know for me it was a good day to stop and slow down for a little while.

I want to send a personal Thanks to Noel for allowing me to join her extraordinary design team for the month of November. I enjoyed getting to work with the Mill Street Kit and can understand why it sold out so quickly.

For this layout I pulled out some if my favorite pictures from Thanksgiving last year. I love how cheerful and playful the Cosmo Cricket papers are. I used the ribbons and buttons from the kit to mimic the design on the pink dress.
