Planning with the Buttons and Bows Daily Diary kit

Good morning everyone, Wendy here today to share some planning details to get you off to a great week!  I have been away so I wasn't able to play with the amazing Falloween kits yet, but there are so many goodies in the Buttons and Bows kit I am still going strong.

When the planner trend first began I wanted nothing to do with it!  I've had a planner for years and it is full of appointments, to do lists, kids schedules, etc...  and I didn't see why anyone had the time or wanted to add any more confusion to their planners.  But I bought one at Michaels (yes, with my 50%) off coupon one day, and it sat, and sat, and sat...

One day, I didn't have time to create a page, but I really needed to de-stress and so I grabbed some leftover pieces laying out on my desk and I stuck them down and I wrote a few thoughts I was having.  Poof, I was a planner addict!  I have been recording my thoughts, hopes and dreams, and even disappointments in my planner ever since and I love that I can look back and see what I was going through and how I was feeling.  So if you haven't given the planner trend a try, check it out again, but do it your way, you might actually find you love it!

This week, your challenge is the Scraplift challenge - scraplift a Noel Mignon member or Design Team Member!  Don't forget to let us know who you scraplifted and what caught your attention in the original design.

I have been away for 2 weeks, so I wasn't able to participate in this challenge, but I will see you next week with a new kit and a new challenge!

Weeks 50 & 51 | Buttons and Bows Daily Diary Kit

Good Morning, Noel Mignon friends!  Wendy here today to share another Project Life page I created using the gorgeous Buttons and Bows Daily Diary kit.  I have so enjoyed this kit and while a new kit is always fun, I'm enjoying squeezing all the stories I can out of this one!

To unite my 2 weeks of very different activities, I chose to use black and the colored heart as my uniting pieces.  I then chose the pink/salmon color to bring in a pop of color throughout the pages.  You can see the details below of the separate weeks.  I have gotten behind as you can see, these are some weeks in July, but I use the Collect app that allows me to load a picture and journaling each day so I don't forget anything and to assemble my pages takes minutes now days.

This week your challenge is the "Pumpkin Pie" challenge - use orange and a pie/wedge/triangle shape on your project.  I have a salmon type color that I have used on my layouts and the hearts have the pie/wedge shape in their design.  I guess here in FL where fall is no where to be seen salmon is the new orange, lol!

Have a great week, I will be back next week with a planner page I created from this amazing kit!

Week 44 & 45 | Buttons and Bows Daily Diary kit

Welcome to the last week of the month, this year (again) is moving so fast!  Wendy here today to share your new challenge for the week, Siblings!  This week your challenge is to create a layout (or other crafty project) about brothers, sisters, siblings, etc...  In a family of 8, we have 5 boys and 1 girl ranging from 14-3, everyday is about siblings because there are so many of them, lol, so I documented an everyday week for us.

Here is a better look at each side...

So enjoy the rest of your weekend and have fun documenting a sibling type memory!
I'll see you next week, with some fall inspiration (if I can find it here in FL).

Documenting Week 36 with Buttons & Bows

Happy Thursday!
Danielle here to share with you Week 36 of my Project Life
using the awesome Buttons & Bows Daily Diary Kit

This was a busy week for our family, and I had so many photos I wanted to include!

This weeks Design Team Challenge is the word MAGICAL. I chose to document 2 things with this in mind.
1) it was our 7th Anniversary.
2) Clay was away working off an ice breaker sailing through the Northwest Passage. It was the trip of a lifetime. He saw things like Narwhal, Whales, Polar Bears and more! They say Narwhal are Unicorns of the Sea, so thats pretty "magical" to me!

I love when Noel includes the Simple Stories Combo Cardstock Stickers that have the Alphas, little words, and regular stickers! I used the heck out of that sheet this month! I fell in love with the font and have used almost all of them up!

Here are some close ups!

How fun is the pack of Becky Higgins Project Life Sequins that Noel included this month?! I sprinkled them around, and used my Glossy Accents to adhere them.

I also used my Glossy Accents to adhere one of the gorgeous Prima flowers from the kit!

How are you making out with your 2016 Project Life?

Buttons & Bows: Happy 10th Birthday!

Hello, Noel Mignon fans! Jana Eubank here. This week's design challenge is all about being inspired by the word MAGICAL. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to scrapbook about one of my children's birthdays. Here is the page I came up with using the Buttons & Bows Classic Kit!

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY

I wanted those super-cute and colorful Thicker letter stickers to be the main decorative element on the page (just love all hose happy colors!) and so I decided to create a large title across the top of the page. I cut the pink section from the Simple Stories Live Simply paper, and placed it across the top of my page base, the Fancy Pants Little Sis paper. The lacy trim accents the edge and the puffy gold Millie & June stickers add some sparkle.

I placed my trio of photos on the bottom of the page, each one matted with a different color of cardstock.

I then used journaling cards from the Buttons & Bows Daily Diary kit to house my story.

A few fun embellishments adorning each little photo grouping adds dimension and FUN!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Weeks 42 & 43 | Buttons and Bows Daily Diary kit

Wendy here this morning with a new challenge to inspire you with, this week we are going to be Magical!  You challenge this week is to use "Magical" as the inspiration for your layout (or other project) this week.

I found the Becky Higgins PL cards to be so fun and light, almost magical, so I chose to limit my products to keep my layout consistent and magical.  I also created a shaker pocket card with the fun sequins included in the daily details kit for a magical feel, course it would have been nice if I had put the right week number on it!

I hope you have a magical week as you are inspired to be creative in all you do!

Documenting Week 35 with Buttons and Bows

Happy Thursday! Danielle here today to share with you Week 35 of my Project Life, using the  Buttons and Bows Daily Diary Kit, to share with you.

Our Design Team Challenge this week is to use buttons, bows or stitches in your layout.

I used the buttons included in this months kit, and created a shaker pocket last week, that shows through into this week.

I also did lots of stitching with my sewing machine and some hot pink thread!

I stitched some elements down to my cards, and I stitched photos and journal cards together to create a 4x6 card.

On a separate note, can we just talk about how much I love these alpha stickers from Simple Stories?! sigh...

Thanks for stopping by!

Buttons & Bows: Happy Kids

Hello! Jana Eubank here. I am enjoying the Buttons & Bows Classic and Daily Diary kits so much this month! Today my project follows this week's challenge of incorporating bows, buttons, and/or stitching on our page. Here is my take!

HAPPY KIDS

I cut out three of the embroidery hoop images from the Pink Paislee paper and used them as the main embellishment on my page. For two of the hoops, I embellished the tops of them with the super cute Fancy Pants foldable bows. I adorned the center of each bow with one of the Pink Paislee buttons. Aren't they so sweet?!

I created the title by fussy-cutting the word "Happy" from the Pink Paislee paper, and then combining it with the floral letter stickers by Fancy Pants Designs.

I used one of the cards from the Buttons and Bows Daily Diary kit to add my journaling.

I love the way this page turned out and the homemade feel the embroidered patterned paper and embroidery hoop elements give to this page about my adorable kids.

Thanks so much for coming by! Have a great week!
