Happy Tuesday everybody ! I am both excited and sad to be here with you today. You see this is my last Design Team post.
I have sincerely enjoyed working with the NoelMignon kits over the past 6 months, each one seeming to be my favorite.
Okay, let's get to the good stuff now, the sharing !
When I went to put together my week 21 I kind of noticed a theme, apparently I spent some time going around and taking some fun photos. Which I am not surprised, I love taking photos. I also notice that some weeks there is more of a mixture of things and people in the photos, sometimes there are more of one or the other. But you know what, I love them all. It all balances itself out in the end and tells the most wonderful story, which is our own !!
This week I went with a green color scheme with a little bit of other colors thrown in. Usually I am not a green person, actually shy away from it. But this year I am learning to branch out and try new things. Plus I am kind of liking the green !
Here is a look at the left side of my spread.
I just love the color of the gray patterned paper and thought it went perfect with the rest of my photos. I cut a strip off and added it onto the bottom of my title card. Staying with the green theme, I cut part of a journaling card and added it on to my title card. It made the whole page one cohesive look.
Once in a while we all get lucky and get a great photo. I was out taking pictures of my blooming flowers when this hummingbird comes flying in. Thankfully I was able to snap a great photo of him and I love it ! It is the one on the bottom right. I added a digital brush before printing it out and then added the puffy triangle sticker. So fun !! I think that might be my favorite this week, maybe.
I also added one of the Heidi Swapp clear labels to my Dr. Pepper photo. It was perfect.
This week was still technically Spring, so I used the Spring filler card and I just love it. I chose to leave it alone and not add anything to it. Sometimes I add, sometimes I don't.
On the journaling card I told the story of how my kids started calling the Dr. Pepper "Mommy Juice". And NO, I do not drink a ton of it, just a glass here and there okay !! LOL. But it was funny enough that it had to be added to the scrapbook.
Let's move on to the second page now.
I was able to journal about two stories from this week. The first one was when we attended Katelyn's Honor Roll and Principal's List assembly. I cut out the wood grained label from another journaling card and added it to the one with the green bottom. I added her GPA for the year on the bottom using the number stickers from the kit. The photo next to it is of us eating ice cream that they served afterwards.
The other story is all about the adorable yellow minion in the photo and his wardrobe. I started out with one of the Simple Stories journaling cards and cutting a strip of the gray patterned paper to go on the bottom, again for a more of a cohesive feel.
Well folks that it is for me this week and for my term on the Design Team. I want to thank each and every one of you for continuing to come over to the blog and also for your support along the way. I have truly loved every minute of it and plan to check back to see what all the other team members are creating.
Have a wonderful rest of your summer and a fabulous day !

2014 Catching up using Happy Go Lucky Daily Diary Kit
Here I am again trying to catch up on my 2014 pocket page album. I am so glad that I am making HUGE progress. It is awesome to be able to get those stories, memories, and photos in the album before I forget everything completely.
Let's get to the sharing now shall we. Here is a look at both pages together. I went with a regular page on the left side and then one that I cut in half version for the right side. I really wanted to focus on the most important memories from these 2 weeks.
Sometimes I will combine weeks into one set of pages. This was the case with this set of pictures + stories.
I went with a simple title card using the fun scalloped sticker that I cut down. The scallops draws your eye to the middle of the card and the dates.
These two pages has a mixture of the Simple Stories and my own custom journaling cards. But I made sure that the colors stayed cohesive through both sides.
I loved the far right journaling card, especially the strips of patterned paper made into arrows. I added one of the clear Heidi Swapp pieces along with some enamel dots.
The journaling card that has the black and white stripes was a perfect addition to this page. It breaks up the colors and photos perfectly. I cut out the & sign from one of the journaling cards and added it onto the black and white card.
Here is the photo that goes along with the far left side journaling card, which was a little adventure that me and the kids had.
One last close up to sum up the left side of my spread. This photo of Noah and me one was my favorite stories of these pages. These small little stories are the ones that I am going to cherish for years to come. Because looking back now, he has stopped doing this.
Here is a look at the left side by itself.
Let's move on the right side.
I used one of the clear photo overlays from Simple Stories. LOVE these.
I made a personalized journaling card starting with the great Heidi Swapp geotag. I wanted to spell out home on the bottom and I used the letters from the kit to do so.
As much as I love Instagram, sometimes it is a pain to work them into your pocket pages. What I usually do is print them out as a 4x4 photo and add them onto a big journaling card.
This technique is what I did on the bottom. I finished off this journaling card with a few embellishments here and there.
That is all for today everyone !! Thanks for coming.

Week 18 Using Happy Go Lucky
Happy Tuesday to you all !
Can you believe it is June already ? Summer is here and I am so excited ! But before I get all mushy about Summer let's talk about Spring. Yes, Spring. I have some pages from April/May to share with you today.
Week 18 was a super fun week filled with lots of real life moments, and even National Scrapbook Day.
I have always been a fan of Simple Stories. Their cards are great, so detailed and fun. Most of them are already embellished or you. I chose this fun "Life Documented card for my title card. Since it was already embellished I didn't add much. I used the numbers from the sticker sheet in the kit and put 18 on the top to represent my week #, and then added the date as well.
Whenever I have photo that just is not quite right, the quality is bad, or the colors completely clash with the rest of my layout I will usually turn it black and white. That was the case with the photo of my husband and my son mowing the lawn. I still wanted to include the photo so I turned it black and white and printed it. It's not ideal but it will work.
When completing my spreads I often like to include smaller photos. That is what I did here with my out of focus sunrise photo. I took this shot while I was running one morning and like how it turned out. I added in a few embellishments and called it finished.
The other card I started out with cutting up the scalloped sticker and adding the dream clear label piece over top. I added the bird in the corner to go along with my story on the journaling card.
I added one of the clear photo overlays to the picture of Katelyn playing in her soccer game. I absolutely love photo overlays, they are such an easy way to embellish a photo fast.
Let's look at the right side of my layout now.
That Saturday was National Scrapbook Day and I had some friends over to scrapbook and hang out with me. I snapped a photo of me before everyone arrived. I decided to use some of the letter stickers to abbreviate NSD. I added some text underneath and then a wood veneer heart from the kit.
I added a strip of one of the 6x6 papers to a grid journaling card to start this look. Adding the arrow at the top draws your eye to it. Don't you just love arrows ?!!! I sure do.
Here is a close up of some journaling cards.
Both of these cards I added a few enamel dots and wood veneers for some fun embellishments.
Here is one last look at the right side. I added a digital brush to my photo and then put one of the white sticker phrases on top for a fun look.
I caught myself saying the same things over and over to the girls in the morning. I decided to write some of my morning phrases down that week. The "am" are letter stickers from the kit and I printed out my journaling onto one of the 4x6 cards. Thought it would be fun to read years from now.
Thanks for stopping by today everyone ! I hope you all are enjoying that school is out and summer is here !! Woohoo !! I for one am so excited and ready to make some graet summer memories. Don't forget to get the Happy Go Lucky kit now and get those memories scrapped.

Everyday Life is very much "Happy Go Lucky"
Hello Summer !!
We are in full blown Summer around here and I couldn't be happier. The kids have been out of school for the past 2 days now and so far so good.
This months kit is called "Happy Go Lucky". It is a perfect match of lovely colors, and can cover spring and summer activities.
With that being said I am going to get on with the sharing of my pages I have completed using the kit.
This was week 20 ( May 11 - 17) and included some fun regular life memories.
As a family we recently finished getting some garden boxes in the ground and got a bunch of things planted. I added a photo of my son watering the garden. He has made the watering of the garden his chore and nobody else's !! Kind of cute and I am not complaining.
One of the first things I do when I am constructing my pages is to look through my photos and pick some cards that compliment them. So I looked through the kit and found some cards that worked out perfectly. I also tried with those same colors throughout the layout.
I opted to not do a title card this time and went for a week in review card instead. That left me one extra photo slot and it was perfect.
I really needed to break up all the white space on this page. I grabbed my 3 inch circle punch and punched some of this cute heart card leaving a perfect frame for an extra photo.
Possibly one of my favorite things from this kit are those clear Heidi Swapp labels. I used one on the journaling card below. Also the Simple Stories white phrases stickers are lots of fun too.
Let's move on to the second page now.
I had a few favorite photos of my son watering the garden. I printed out the first one and even though I loved it I knew I had to add a "bigger" photo. The little photo just didn't do the photo justice. I know I have been adding a lot of big photos to my spreads but this one was "needed". LOL And to be honest, it turned out perfect.
I knew I had a lot to say about our garden this year, how it came to be, ect. So I made a fun 4x6 journaling card to hold my story about the garden. I chose to spell out grow with some staggered letters and then used a strip of paper as sort of a border for my word. Can I just say the wood veneers in the kit were absolutely perfect for these pages.
A fun photo of the kids pet bug that they made a home for.
Here is the rest of the right side.
For the card in the right corner, I started with a strip of the patterned paper. I printed my picture as a 3x3 size and added it onto my card after i printed out my journaling.
That's a wrap for me today folks. Thanks for coming.
Don't forget to pick up a Happy Go Lucky kit and get scrapping.
