I have so enjoyed all the list inspiration this week, and I hope it's been inspiring you too!!
I wanted to make some simple subway art, insured by some of our Inspiration Monday images. I created one in word, printed it out, and then decorated it with the Soda Shoppe kit (there are just a couple left!!) .
If you'd like a copy of this subway art, just let me know and I'll email it to you! :)

My One Little Word for 2013
Hello everyone! We're continuing our week of Lists Inspiration. I was so inspired by all of the images that Virginia had posted on this thread here. Images are so inspiring to me. And the inspiration from this week's layouts have been amazing. Hope you join in and share yours.
With all of this inspiration, I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to create a layout of my One Little Word for 2013...TIME. This is my first OLW and I'm already loving the idea behind it.
The first idea that came to me was to use some kind of tab identifying just a few areas in my life I need to juggle my time better in 2013. I used this Dragonfly tab from the Silhouette store.
Then I ungrouped them and deleted the dragonfly and replaced with the words. I used the Blackout Font 2 a.m.
I was tempted to do just plain cardstock to cut them out, but I decided to go with color and picked the teal Lawn Fawn paper. The pattern on the paper was also small and almost tone on tone, so I knew the cut file would show up well. I loved the perforated look on the tag, so I ripped that part off to show the jagged edge. I will admit that once I had the cut out files, I wasn't sure of the design I wanted. I first tried a more carefree look of tilting photos and the tabs. I used to do that all the time, and love when I see others do it, but linear worked better for me.
I was loving the pops of yellow. I backed the tabs with pieces of the Basic Grey yellow polka dots, cut the "time" with the Silhouette. I needed something else yellow to balance it. I used one of the die cut flowers from the kit and folded in the petals and stapled in the middle.
Just what I needed...clustered it next to the Glitz potty girl sticker.
This layout had a lot of color and a lot going on...so I tried to not add too much, instead I emphasized the design of the vertical lines and the idea behind it. I cut the 5 from the Dear Lizzy paper, stamped the days of the week along the edge to represent the days of the week (a work week, although I did stamp all 7 days).
I need to have this layout visible all the time so it can be a reminder of my one little word this year...TIME. More inspiration tomorrow from Virginia! Hope everyone has had a great week!

The Best Feelings in the World . . .

Hello everyone!! Two GREAT layouts have been shared this week following our Inspiration Monday "Lists" layouts - and I'm here to share a "list" themed layout as well :) I typically scrap 12" x 12", but I do have an 8 1/2" x 11" album of quotes & personal thoughts/stories that I have been working on as well. I found a collection of "The Best Feelings in the World" on Pinterest and decided to create a layout listing what I feel are some of the best feelings in the world. I pulled out my Noel Mignon Soda Shoppe kit & got creating!!

I cut the clouds out of white cardstock using my Silhouette. Then to "dress them up" a bit, I added some doodling & a bit of Greystone chalk ink to the edges. The heart floating behind the title was cut from one of the Dear Lizzy papers in the kit - such a cute little accent!!

Have you used the Dear Lizzy date stamp roller yet?? I couldn't resist - although I accidentally stamped the 9th instead of the 6th when the picture was actually taken. No worries though - I finished this in the wee hours this morning (my best scrappy time) - so technically the journaling was done on the 9th!!!
Have you thought of a list layout you'd like to create???

Happy Little Moments
Hi everyone! Leslie kicked off the week with an Inspiration Monday "list" layout! I'm continuing with the theme today!
I'll admit, I love making lists. I take great satisfaction in crossing each item off, one by one! What a sense of accomplishment it is to complete everything on the list, right? Well, my layout today is a list of things, but not necessarily those that need an action, more of a list of thoughts.
I paired the fabulous Soda Shoppe kit with a set of flair from A Flair for Buttons (a great selection of flair is also available in the shop) and here is the result...
The American Crafts polaroid frame paper was the perfect size for me to complete the sentence for each prompt! Fun, right?!
I used the pink washi tape from the kit, along with an assortment from my stash to hold the frames down and create a backdrop for the flair.
Here are a few close-ups...

Teeny Tiny Piggies
Hi everyone! Happy Monday to you!
This week at Noel Mignon the DT is sharing inspiration from our "Inspiration Monday".
We spend alot of time making lists, right? Grocery lists, New Years Resolutions lists, Goals,
Dreams, or even lists of everyday happenings.
That's what our inspiration is all about this week! Check out the board to get inspired
and share your creations...using lists!
I'm sharing my layout I did of my sweet niece, Presley and her CUTE teeny tiny piggies:
I took the "list" inspiration and journaled how cute her pig tails are.
You can do so many things with lists. Think, create and have fun!
Here's a couple of closer shots:

American Girl *Soda Shoppe Kit*
Oh, this kit is JUST what I've needed. I've been kind of in a creative funk... for lack of a better word, sadness has been a block for me to really scrap. I feel like 2013 is a fresh start and a breath of fresh air for me in that regards, though, and I am so very excited about that.
The Soda Shoppe kit (get yours while there are still a couple left!) is bright, fresh, sweet (but not over the top) with it's muted cotton candy colors. I knew immediately what photo I wanted to scrap first with it!
Even though this is a Christmas morning photo, I didn't want to scrap it in Christmas colors. This memory is more about the dreams of a little girl, and these colors and the bokeh effects reflect that.
The bottom strip of one of the Glitz papers (from the Hello Friend line) makes a perfect accent for this page, even though it wasn't intended to be!
The Dear Lizzy phrase & date stamp combined with the peach chalk ink in the kit is divine.
I can't wait to dive more into this kit! Link me up below with your Soda Shoppe concoctions! :)

Let Me Introduce Myself
Hello to everyone at Noel Mignon! I'm so excited to be joining this amazing kit club. I have always admired Noel's kits because she packs them with so many goodies!
To tell a little about myself...I'm a young at heart 45-year old, married for 22 years, and living with our 17-year old cat named Archie, and our beautiful little 4-year old daughter, Emma. We are an adoptive family. You can read more about our adoption and becoming a family here. I live in south Louisiana where I can wear flip flops pretty much all year.
So you know I like to scrapbook, but I have also been enjoying making cards and a few altered items. I do dabble in art journaling, although not always enough. I'm a Project Lifer, just completed my first one for 2012. I love the whole idea of it and it has taken away the guilt of getting every photo scrapped and documented, but it is a commitment. It is worth seeing my daughter look through it...although I wish I had done something like this when I was single! Those days are a blur!
I will be visiting the boards to get to know everyone more. I know a few from visiting in the past. I am on Twitter, but mostly on Facebook and Instagram.
Besides doing this creative hobby, I love photography, try to go on as many walks as I can (trying to keep this older body healthy), love Starbucks so much, I bought a latte machine, read (although not much lately), watch Disney Jr. and jump on the trampoline with my daughter, love Mexican food...and love TV, yes I do! I love Sci-Fi shows, like Doctor Who, Merlin, Firefly. I tend to be by myself when I watch those ;)
I was so excited to dig into my first Noel Mignon kit, the Soda Shoppe kit. I just knew her kits were for me...they are so full of product, that all goes together so well. For me, it was a dream kit. Whenever I look through product, I always pick out favorites, which can be hard for me, because I LOVE it all! Really! I picked the soft My Mind's Eye paper as the background. The chevron paper from Basic Grey caught my eye, so that got cut first, then the Kraft Lawn Fawn paper. I wanted to add more color, so I added the blue polka dot paper from My Mind's Eye horizontally.
Thank you for letting me introduce myself, my family, and share my first Noel Mignon layout.

I rarely get a layout done in an hour, but the colors and variety in this kit worked so well together, this was done in an hour. I had no idea how I was going to use the straws, but the dimension and color it adds...I NEED more! I glued it on with Zip Dry glue, not going anywhere.
I use a lot of pop dots. I can't help it. I need to order a case of them. I love dimension and texture. The "you & me" was cut with the Silhouette.
I tucked the journaling inside the bag on the American Crafts tag. Any layout I do about my daughter and her best friend, Merrin, is a special one. These girls were together in China as babies, and we are blessed to live so close to each other now! Thank you for letting me introduce myself, my family, and share my first Noel Mignon layout.
