Hi again, I'm back with another share using the versatile Hey Girl Daily Diary kit.
We recently spent a day at the coast for some beach and fishing fun and I ended up taking way too many photos to fit into my regular weekly spread so I decided to add an insert that will fit between my week one pages to document the day.
The first half of the day was spent at the beach, and I love how the bright colors and fun elements from the kit helped me pull all the photos together.
I repeated some of the papers and accents I used in the weekly spread to help everything flow and used simple paper layers and stickers to create a custom title card.
I really liked the look of the die-cut frames over the top of my photos and dressed this one up with some hand stitching for a bit of extra detail.
The second half of the day was spent fishing at a local lake where my boys caught a couple of good sized bream.
I cut the photo of the fish a little smaller than the other photos so that I could add the fun camera cards underneath and finished it off with a couple of stickers. The filler card uses the same striped paper with a square of vellum beneath one of the cute cut-outs from the 6x6 papers.
Once again I used a little bit of hand stitching to add detail to this photo, and also to help it blend with the filler card I attached it to.
I still have heaps of goodies left from the kit and will be back next week with another spread.
