Party Animal

I like to party. And by "party" I mean stay home in my PJ's and do crafts.

Yep, that's me! lol

This week we're scrapping our crafts/hobbies, etc and I have several. I started scrapbooking 16 years ago when my first child was just 3 weeks old. And in the last 16 years I've added lots of other hobbies to the list...card making, sewing, quilting, anything crafty! Hey, you don't know if you're going to be good at something until you try it, right?!

So today's pocket page is all about the things I enjoy. I didn't quite have enough photos for a full 2 page spread, so I took a Design A pocket page and cut it in half for page #2.

Yummy!

Hey guys! I'm here with another layout using the She's Crafty Daily Diary Kit. The first layout I created with this kit was a traditional layout and this week I went with a pocket page. I also deviated from the theme of this kit to show the versatility of these kits. It's very easy to create a project outside of the theme of the kits!
I went back a few years and found these fun pics of my kiddos during summer vacation when we drover over to Krispy Kreme for a special treat. Thank goodness we don't live close or I'd be eating donuts every day! lol
I loved all of the word stickers in this month's kit. They were a fun addition to my photos. And that 4x6 'who, what, where' card was definitely a favorite!

Some daily diary with a Weekend in Paris

 Oh. My. Word. Y'all.

Have you purchased a Weekend in Paris kit yet? Have you? Have you?! This is quite my favorite kit in some time. It's like a mix of girlyness and Anthropolige to me. Love love love.

I am catching up with some older photos with this kit... and I ran out of adhesive, so today's shopping list is to grab some more so I can keep going tonight!

Isn't the layering of these colors just lovely? I love the splash of "paint" style on that card tucked behind the photos. P.S. Don't forget to scrap all those silly selfies! I'm glad I have these pics of me!

These cards are tucked into a page protector, while the Project Life card is adhered on top!

I love how these cards have typed sentiments on them already. It's like I had everything planned for me. Easy peasy!

Get yours here- and free shipping today if you get it before midnight!

Monochromatic Pocket Pages!

The design team was challenged this week to do a monochromatic layout... so I thought, "I'll do it for my pocket page album for the year. Easy peasy! These pics from the Lion King Jr. are already pretty monochromatic, so it'll be easy to do!"

Um no. Wow. This is way more challenging than I thought it would be!!

I love how Becky mentioned in our Facebook group about how she uses the ribbon from the kits, so I took that idea and ran with it. It was a lot harder to stick to a simple color scheme for me than I thought it would be!

What have you done recently to challenge yourself? Did it work?

Party!

Hey all! I have a couple pocket pages to share with you using the new High Five Daily Diary Kit which is absolutely amazing!! Last week I shared a layout of my daughter's 6th birthday using the Dive In Classic kit and this week I'm adding to that with a few pocket pages from her birthday party.

My daughter's theme was Paw Patrol which was so much fun! We had snacks in dog bowls, drank 'toilet water', & played pin the badge on Rubble. It was so much fun!!! In case you're thinking of having a Paw Patrol party I have a Pinterest board here filled with lots of ideas!
When I was working on my pages I realized that I was not going to have enough room for all of the photos I wanted to use so I took another pocket page (Project Life Design A) and cut off the last row so that I was left with 2-4x6's and 2-3x4's on each side.
This allowed me to add just a few more photos. I added some of the pink ribbon on the edge as a little 'tab' for turning the page protector (I sealed the edges of the ribbon so that would not fray over time).

Dive In Daily Diary- Beach Trip Mini Album

Good morning! I finally was able to have all my technology cooperate so I could share with you all this mini album I made with the adorable and beachy Dive In Daily Diary kit! I also supplemented this with a pack of extra paper I purchased in the shop, and I'm so glad I did... it all came together so wonderfully!

My idea for this album was so that it was a small enough size so I could slip it into my pocket album for the year... check out the video at the bottom of the post to see how I did that, and a whole flip through of the album!

Explore... Under the Stars...Adventure

I have one last layout for you from the awesome Let's Get Lost Daily Diary kit... I had all these leftover scraps of cute "adventuring" embellishments, so I whipped up a quick two page spread for my pocket album. The photo & layers in the middle actually pop into the binder itself, so they are like a mini page or flap stuck in there in between the bigger pages.

I've been busy working on some pages using the new Delightful kit this weekend... and my reveal video as well! I can't wait to share them with you!

Our Life Never Looked So Good- Pocket Pages!

The lovely combination of color and detail in the Let's Get Lost Daily Diary kit makes for such interesting contrast in my Pocket Page album. I'm finding my groove with this style and I really love that I have an album documenting our daily life.

I've been using the "Collect" app to organize my daily pictures and keep captions under each one so I can remember special things about each day. This has been so handy when I've gone to print the pictures because I can trim those captions to use in my album.

Goofy's Kitchen

Hey guys, Michelle here! This week I'm playing with "The Happiest" kit, the limited edition kit from last month (only ONE kit left!!). I love every bit of this kit & can't wait to create more layouts with it!

For now I've started on a Disney album from a trip we took to Disneyland in 2015. I decided to go with a 9x12 album for this trip since I knew I needed a bit more space than the 6x8 size that I typically like to use. And I'm planning on mixing in pocket pages with traditional layouts. I love using pocket pages for trip albums because I'm able to add lots of photos & don't feel like I need to leave some out because of limited space.
The first night we were there we went to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. SO much fun and great food :) So first I created a traditional page. This is the first time I've played with the 9x12 size and I really liked it.

Then I used a pocket page for the rest of the photos from the dinner. I ended up grabbing a 4x6 card from the last Disney kit Noel Mignon had.
When you take photos at places like Disneyland where there are lots of people, it's nearly impossible to not have strangers in your background. But sometimes they're in a spot that is less than desirable like the photo below:
See that kid just to the right of Minnie? Well, rather than messing with Photoshop to try and crop him out I simply used some of my embellishments to cover him up. I do this a *lot* with my Disney photos!
Word phrase stickers to the rescue!!

And here are my 2 pages together as they'll look in my album:

Some Pocket Pages with Let's Get Lost!

I've been playing with the "Let's Get Lost" Daily Diary kit... oh it is the BEST for Spring Break pictures and adventures! There are two left- you should go treat yourself to one of them!

Y'all, don't forget to document yourself. It's important! Also, I absolutely love this random pic from my kids all loaded up in the van. These are the moments that make up life, am I right?

I had so much fun playing with this gold metallic chevron overlay! Cutting it up to embellish the page was so cathartic to me. I wish y'all could see the full extent of the glimmer. It's gorgeous!

Delightful Classic Kit- February Memories

Even though I have the Classic Style kit this month, I thought I'd use some of it in my Project Life/Daily Diary style album. I love mixing things up like this, especially by playing with proportions!

I'm not doing pocket style pages all the way... it's more of a mini album, loosely done in a pocket style fashion. I like the flexibility of this a lot and I do not do weekly spreads, but more of a loose flow to our days.

By working in this style, I can make a lot of "mini layouts," which makes room for the type of layering I like to do.

Are you in the kit reveal group? We'll be having some fun surprises tomorrow night... make sure you join!
