Spooky Tree

As soon as I saw the Spooky Hollow kit (sold out!) I knew that I wanted to do more with it than just layouts. This kit is begging for tons of spooky projects!! So I grabbed this black wire tree that I bought at Hobby Lobby last year & never used. I found it in the Christmas section. Not sure about you guys but I don't typically use black wire trees in my Christmas decor, but whatever...

So I pulled out all the goodies from the kit and started to play. And here's what I came up with:
A fun little Halloween tree! There's nothing super difficult or 'technique-y" about this tree. I just had fun with it :) I added just a few things from my own stash (ribbon, string, etc) along with some black burlap around the base of the tree. Here's a few more pics:

To see how to make those cute little accordion flowers, Virginia has a video here and Britt has a video here. Once you get the hang of them they're really fun! I will tell you that my glue of choice is a hot glue gun. It dried quick and it gives a super hold! My little flowers on this tree have 2 accordion flowers sandwiched between a punched circle of paper.
Aren't those little clocks fun??! I added some black stickles around the edges. And to top it all off I added one of the My Mind's Eye punch outs with that creepy little spider and a decorated mini-clothespin.

And that's it! Be sure and share your spooky creations over at the Noel Mignon message board!!
