Planning with the So Sweet Classic Kit

Today is the last day of February!! I don't know about you guys but I am SO ready for spring! Unfortunately we're supposed to get more snow here in eastern Washington so who knows when spring will actually show up!!

Over the last few weeks I've shared some layouts and Valentines that I've created with the So Sweet Classic kit and today I wanted to share how I used the kit in my planner this past month.
The stickers and rub-ons this kit were perfect for planner pages, as was that cute stamp set and stencil with the distress ink.

What I also like to do with washi when I'm using it in my planner is to adhere it to some wax paper, then cut into small strips to use as pennant banners:
It's much easier to keep them relatively the same size and cut the edges that way.

So here are some more ways that I used the kit in my planner this month:

{Sweetie} Layout with the "So Sweet" Daily Diary Kit

Hello Friends!  It's Meridy with you today, and I'm sharing a Sweet layout using the "So Sweet" Daily Diary and Paper Add-On kits.  These papers and embellishments lent themselves to the photos I had taken of my kids for Valentine's Day this year, the pinks and light aqua blue were the perfect match!

I started by layering a few scraps that I had left from the kit, and cut some strips of the doily print paper to add to the layers.  Once I had my layers and photo in place, I decided I wanted to add ALL the flowers to the layout!

I started by fussy cutting a couple of flower bunches from the patterned paper to use as an anchor for the more delicate flowers.

Next, I went to work layering the paper flowers, sticker flowers, epoxy hearts, a heart charm, a few heart stickers, and some of the phrase stickers from the kit.  Once I got the cluster how I wanted it, I did a very similar design on the opposite side of the photo.

I finished the layout off with a strip of washi tape to anchor the Thickers word "Sweetie" and added the date with a date stamp.

Have you been able to scrap some Valentine's photos this month with your kit?  I would love to see on Instagram #NoelMignon.  Have a great week!!!

Creating Coordinating Layouts with the "So Sweet" Daily Diary Kits

Hi Friends, it's Meridy here today.  I have a couple of 12x12 layouts to share with you today using the "So Sweet" Daily Diary Kit and paper add on.

I really like the look of double page layouts in my albums, so that both sides match.  I used to scrap double pagers almost 100% of the time.  But I liked making single page layouts for the first and last page of my albums, and I wanted to make more.  So I tried making 2 single page layouts with the same supplies (and pictures from the same event), this way when they are displayed in my album, both sides still match.  I really like how it's working out.  I still feel like the 2 pages flow together, but I get to be more creative working with a 12x12 space rather than always working with a 12x24 space.

The last 2 weeks I shared the following layouts:

Today I want to share the coordinating pages I made for them!  This is the first layout. I used quite a few pictures, and layered up the paper and embellishments.

I tried to really use the same supplies that I used on the page I made a few weeks ago.

The gold Thickers, puffy hearts, and word stickers were just what I needed to pull it together.  I was also able to mat the photos on the same red cardstock.

I think they will look great next to one another in my album.  Even though they don't exactly match, they have some of the same elements, all of the same colors, and photos from the same event.

This is the page I made to coordinate with the layout I shared last week.

Again, I used the same elements, patterned paper, Thickers, the heart charm, washi tape, and the cute heart with the tassle.

I outlined each layer with black pen, just like I did on the page I created last week.  This is just one more way that the layouts will flow together and "read" as coherent pages.

Here are both layouts that will go next to each other in the album.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Love notes

Hey everyone! Valentine's Day is next week so I thought I whip up some cute little cards for my kids with the new So Sweet Classic Kit. I cut out some of the cute bingo cards from one of the patterned papers and then made little pockets for them.
There's fun die cut shapes in this kit which were perfect for decorating up my little envelopes. I also used those fun tiny alphas to put my kids names on them. I'll probably write a little note inside and then attach their cards to some candy.
Super simple, super sweet, super easy!

And yes, 2 of my kids are older but they still like when I do stuff like this for them...so I do :)

{Be Mine} with the "So Sweet" Kits

Hi all, it's Meridy here.  This week we are sharing layouts using the "So Sweet" kits that were inspired by what we "love", in this case, I'm using a sketch from Stuck Sketches February 1, 2018 sketch.  You can see that sketch here.  I decided to follow the sketch pretty closely, and matched just about every aspect in the layout.

I had to pull a doily, a small piece of baker's twine, and a piece of kraft cardstock from my stash to make this layout, but other than that, everything is from the Daily Diary kit and the patterned paper from the 12x12 paper add on.

I picked papers that coordinated with my photos and built the layers up according to the sketch I used.  Therefore, this layout came together really quickly.

When it came time to embellish the layout, the gold Thickers that came in the kit made it really easy!  I used them for the heart embellishments and the title.

I also used a few of the enamel hearts and puffy sticker hearts, one of the word strips, and I cut apart one of the 4x6 cards to create the tag and the stamped label with the year.

To balance the layout out, I decided to deviate a little from the sketch and add this little banner/embellishment cluster to the top of the layout.

And that wraps up my layout for today.  Thank you for stopping by.

{Valentine's Preparations} with the "Happy Together" Classic Kit

Hello all!  It's Meridy here today to share one last layout with the "Happy Together" Classic Kit.  I decided to scrap one more set of Valentine's pictures with this kit.

The bright colors in the papers in this kit really pulled in the colors from the photos I had of my kids creating their Valentine's cards for their classmates.

I started with the colorful background paper, and really wanted it to stand out on the layout, but it was a little too busy for my photos, so instead I decided to use it to mat my entire layout.  Next, I layered up a few other patterned papers and cardstock to build up my photos and make them stand out.  I wanted to use those cute banner stickers from the Pebbles sticker sheet, but they were not large enough to fit all of my journaling.  Instead I placed the banner stickers on the background, and built up some white strips of paper that were a little longer than the banner stickers and added my journaling to those.

I used both alphabets from the "Happy Together" Classic Kit to create my title.  I also added a few of the Pebbles stickers and puffy stickers to embellish my title a bit.  Finally, I outlined most of the layers and stickers with a thin black marker to make them really "pop".

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I would love to see what you made with your "Happy Together" kits!

Be Mine

Hey guys, Michelle here. Happy belated Valentine's Day! We don't make a big to-do for Vday although I do make some special treats for the kiddos. My littlest was pretty excited for "I love you day" as she called it :) So today I'm sharing a page about her filling out her Valentine's Day cards for her class using the Happy Together Classic kit (the classic kit is sold out but there's still a few of the Daily Diary kit left!)
I absolutely adore that watercolor hearts patterned paper and it made a nice background for my photos. The pink shipping tags were leftover from a kit last year.
And those chipboard alphas in the kit...I'll be so sad when I've used them all up! Definitely one of my faves!!

His minion box - Happy Together Daily Diary Kit

Happy Valentine's Day!  Normally Valentine's Day isn't my favorite day (comes with being a cake decorator), but I do love the love themed scrapbook items in this months Happy Together Daily Diary Kit.  Today I finally got documented my sons Valentine's box that I helped him put together in 5th grade.  The one and only time he got the chance to make his own box at home and he chose this fun Minion design.  I  have had these photos printed for years just waiting for the perfect papers to be scrapped.   I knew when I saw the great colors Noel put together this month that these pictures would be perfect.

Along with the Daily Diary kit this month I got the Happy Together Paper Pack that has all the cardstock and pattern papers from the classic kit.  This is what I used for my background paper and the strips along the top and bottom.  It's a great addition to stretching the kit and making traditional layouts.

I started with the background paper and layered behind my photos the 4x6 and 3x4 cards that went along with colors from my photos.  The title strip is cut down from a 4x6 paper and I used the large letter stickers from the Simple Stories cardstock stickers.

I finished off with a little embellishment grouping next to my main photo.  A 3x4 card, chipboard, stickers, some washi, the heart paper clip, and a date stamp.  I used some of the baker's twine to help tack down the paper clip keeping it secure.

Items from my stash:  brads and small pink letter stickers
Happy Together Daily Diary Kit:  cardstock stickers, chipboard, paper clip, washi tape, 4x6/3x4 cards, baker's twine, paper tag, 6x6 pattern paper
Happy Together Paper Pack:  Background pattern paper, Pattern paper strips on top and bottom

Thanks for stopping by the blog, I wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day!

{Valentine's Day 2016} with the "Happy Together" Classic Kit

Hello friends!!!  Meridy here today with a double page layout using the beautiful "Happy Together" Classic Kit.

I was excited to use some of the "love"-ly papers in this month's kit!  It's a good thing I took a picture of each of my kids last Valentine's Day with their class Valentines and the baby on his 1st Valentine's Day in his car seat---hey, at least it's red!

The quote on the Simple Stories paper was perfect for me to use!!!

I made one embellishment cluster on each side of the layout.  I used a combination of fussy cut hearts, a tag, the amazing fringed paper heart, the branding strip, and wood veneer words from the kit.  I painted the wood veneer words white so they would coordinate better with the layout.

For this embellishment cluster I used a few of the die cuts, some of the cut apart words, the pink alphabet (number) stickers, and again some of the wood veneer words-painted white.  I finished off the layout with a journaling card from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I would love to see your creations with the "Happy Together" Classic Kit over on the Noel Mignon Members Facebook page or on Instagram #noelmignon.  Have a great day!!!
