"Oh What Fun" and a Plaid Challenge

Hi Everyone, Lynn here with my first layout using this month's beautiful "Oh What Fun" Classic Kit. December's Kit is so festive and seriously PACKED with product just in time to document your Holiday Events.
The team's challenge this week is called "Plaid Tidings". We used Plaid somewhere on our projects. That was easy with this kit - so many plaid options available! I created a tree out of strips of paper for my layout. One of the layers is plaid. Here's my page.
I started by whitewashing a space behind the tree - using gesso and a practically dry brush. I then added layers of paper strips, including a fun piece of vellum from the kit, popping up some of the strips.
I added several types of embellishments including sequins for some bling.
I also added some tiny splotches of  Mister Huey's Color Mist in Peppermint to the background and added a piece of ribbon for the tree stump.
Here's one last look at the dimension by popping up some of the paper strips and the acrylic stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you have a chance to grab one of these Holiday kits!!

A Recipe for a Fall Pocket Page

Hello Everyone! Lynn here hoping you all survived Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday! Did you score any good deals? I was tempted but settled with a BOGO calendar for Christmas gifts.
Today I'm sharing my final pocket page with the "All Fall" Daily Diary Kit. Our challenge this week is a fun one! It's a recipe challenge. Here are the ingredients we incorporated into our projects:

1 - sheet cardstock
2 - alphabets
3 - photos
4 - patterned papers
5 - embellishments

Here's my whole page.
I used my vintage typewriter for my journaling this week.
For my 1 sheet of cardstock I cut up a piece of cream cardstock and used it under my photos. 2 different alphabets can be seen on the following card.
3 photos was easy peasy. I printed my photos on my Instax Printer for cute polaroid type pics.
4 patterned papers was another easy peasy ingredient - plaid, floral, wood grain and burlap.
5 Embellishments: Simple Stories Clips, Cardstock Stickers, Enamel Dots, Die Cut Shapes and Washi Tape.
Here's the last few close ups. How cute is this bear ...
And the final two cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and checking out our latest challenge. Hope you join us and create something with this recipe!!
Have a great week and I'll be back next week with a new page with a brand new kit!!

Documenting Week 41 with Falloween

Happy Thursday! Danielle here today, and I have my Project Life Week 41 to share with you using the Noel Mignon Falloween Daily Diary Kit!

This weeks design team challenge is "Enter if you Dare Challenge"-Create an interactive element on your project

I created a flip up 4x6 card. I have a super easy tutorial a little further down in the post.

There are so many fun elements in this kit. I used one of the Simple Stories 3x4 horizontal card with the hedgehog & butterfly, fussy cut them out, the glued them to a vertical 3x4 card.

I also fussy cut the cute fox & hello friend from one of the Simple Stories cards and used them like little embellishments on my 4x6 card/photo.

Another thing I enjoy adding to my Project Life is a screen shot of a new recipe I tried!

and now for the Tutorial of my flip up card

I used washi tape to adhere the 2 4x6 cards together, leaving just a touch of space between the two. Next I added some machine stitching for some extra detail, and also because I wanted to make sure that with all the handling of this card over time, the washi tape didn't peel off.

Here are some close up photos

I just love that Bella Blvd Washi strip!!

I used a few more of the Bella Blvd washi strips on this journal card, then fussy cut and created the "Today Was..." banner. I ran out of "w" alphas, you I used 2 "v" alphas and stitched them down.

Thanks for stopping by!

"Falloween" Daily Diary Kit and a Pumpkin Pie Challenge

Hello Bloggers and Welcome October! Lynn here to share my first project life spread using this month's "Falloween" Daily Diary Kit. I love how this kit is geared for both Fall and Halloween (hence the name). There are just 2 of these kits left so order one quick before they disappear. This week I kept my spread Fall themed and incorporated our weekly Pumpkin Pie Challenge. Our challenge is to use orange AND a pie, wedge or triangle shape on our project. Here's my page.
I used various sized photos all printed on my Canon Selphy. Here's my title card.
The ribbons and flowers in this month's kit coordinate perfectly with the PL cards and papers. I used cardstock stickers as embellishments for the cards.
The photo below shows a card I made for World Card Making Day 2016 using this month's kit.
Here's a few more close ups. Lola has a leaf in her mouth ALL the time as you can see in the next photo.
The photo of the pumpkin pie is what I used for this week's challenge.
Here's the final set of cards.

"Besties" with Buttons and Bows Classic Kit

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! Lynn here with this week's layout using the "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit. Our challenge this week is Siblings. I used a pic of my Niece's girls Abby and Kate. They are each unique in their own way but will always be sisters and hopefully best friends. I focused on the Pink Paislee papers in our kit this month for my page. Every now and then I create an 8.5 x 11 sized layout. Here's my page.
I clustered some embellishments including the gorgeous Prima flower from our kit.
Here's a look at the fun two-toned coordinating thickers and iridescent gems.
I love the gold hanger clips from Pebbles.
Here's another close up.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and be sure to keep checking in to see more  "Siblings" projects.
Have a great week and I'll return next week with a new project featuring our AWEOSME Falloween Kits!!!
