Made To Create - You've Been Scraplifted, Crystal Butler!

Happy Black Friday! Did you do some shopping in the wee hours of the morning?

Today is one of my favorite days of the year! I stay in my pajamas, usually do some Christmas crafting, clean house, and decorate for Christmas! It's so fun and relaxing!

Today I'm sharing with you a wonderful layout from our friend Crystal Butler! She posted this during our fall crop, and I used the grid layout and embellishing as inspiration for my layout today!

I used what I had- 4x4 photos and lots of goodies from the Golden Delicious kit.

It was so fun to tuck in all these little goodies in here.

This whole layout celebrates a weekend retreat I went to recently... being reminded that we are ALL made to create. I'd forgotten that this year.. there's been a lot of time this year that I haven't had to feed that side of me, and I've felt pretty crappy because of it. It is not easy, but it is so important to be able to take a little time to do the things you love. The people around you enjoy it!

Member Scraplift---Jackie George

This week is dedicated to scraplifting our members...I really enjoy scraplifting layouts every so often. I created this layout using the "Golden Delicious" Classic Kit.

It is based off of the following layout by Jackie George...

When I "lift" a design, I typically copy it pretty loosely.  I'm not very good at scraplifting every piece, layer, and embellishment exactly the same.

As soon as I saw this combination of mint colored papers in the Golden Delicious kit, I knew EXACTLY which photos I wanted to scrapbook with them.  They matched my kids' 2014 Christmas photos perfectly!  I couldn't have asked for better color coordination!

I've decided to try to add little bits of my own handwriting as embellishments on my layouts.  This one I wrote "merry", "noel", and "love" and well as "2014".  I like the little added touch!  I need to keep practicing creative lettering so I can do more in the future.

Thank you Jackie, for sharing your work on our Noel Mignon Members Facebook page---you really inspired me!

I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, I will see you all next week with another layout!

Members Scraplift Week

Hello Everyone! Hope you are all doing well! This is such a busy week, isn't it? Shopping, cooking, cleaning and traveling - I'm tired just typing that! The end result is so worth it - quality time with family and friends! It's a time to appreciate all that we have!
This week the Design Team is taking the time to appreciate our awesome Noel Mignon Members by scrap lifting a member's project! I decided to create a layout this week based on a member's layout. I stayed true to her design except I adapted it to a 8.5 x 11 format. I haven't created this size layout in a while and I forgot how fun it is! Here's my page using this Month's Golden Delicious Kits.
I based my layout on Julie Evers lovely layout. I loved her layering and design. Here's Julie's page.

Here's a few close-ups of my page. I layered lots of patterned papers and bent the edges to give the papers some dimension.
By layering lots of papers together it's easy to tuck embellishments in here and there! Here's a close up of the embellishment in the upper right corner of my page.
Thanks Julie for the inspiration and we appreciate ALL the members of our online family.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Be safe and have a great time with family and friends! See you soon!!!

Golden Delicious: Queen of the Kitchen

Hi Everyone! It's Jana Eubank. I'm back again today with another two layouts using the Golden Delicious Classic Kit.

In the photo, my daughter is wearing my favorite apron. I used it as inspiration in putting together the colors and papers for this page.

QUEEN OF THE KITCHEN

I placed the photo on the orange Echo Park "Pumpkins" paper leaving a larger border at the bottom, similar to a polaroid picture. To the right of this photo mat, I layered on a bunch of little flowers and bits in the corner for some fun detail.

To the right of the photo, I tucked in one of the 6x8 cut apart pages. I used the page as a place for my journaling on top of a fun mixed letter title (smaller letter stickers are from the Golden Delicious Daily Diary Kit). I used the cut apart Evalicious labels, chipboard pieces, brads, and phrase stickers (also from the Daily Diary Kit) to create a little scene around the title. This was so much fun to put together!

HAPPY CAMPER

On this second page, I used the Golden Delicious Classic kit (sorry, sold out) to create an outdoorsy page.

At the top, I used a metal die and a stamp from my stash to create the layered tabs. It was the perfect spot to add the date!

I cut out the squirrel from the Imaginisce "Green Hill" paper and adhered him to the page with foam squares. He looks so cute accenting my photo (and covering all of that boring extra white space in the image).

The title was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo machine using an image from their shop. I cut the words twice, trimmed out every letter, and then adhered those letters to the first word layer with foam squares for dimension. The brad, sequins, and heart die cut from the kit add a little bit of fun.

See the brown paper that I used for the word "Camper?" That is actually from the product packaging for the Imaginisce stickers. It looks great here with the other patterns on the page.

The yellow journal spot, leaves, and "So Thankful" circle were all cut from cards included with the Golden Delicious Daily Diary Kit

Thanks for coming by today! REMEMBER: Tonight is the Kit Reveal Party over on Facebook! I can't wait to see the December kits!!! I hope to see you there!

Home Decor with Golden Delicious: Thanksgiving

Hi, Everyone! It's Jana Eubank. I am getting so excited for Thanksgiving next week! I always enjoy hanging out with family, telling stories, and eating delicious food.

I found this wood tray at Hobby Lobby and decided to dress it up for Thanksgiving using a mixture of the Golden Delicious Daily Diary and Classic kits. My plan is to change out the cards for the different holidays and seasons, and keep this decoration out year round. It's perfect on the side table of our family room!

The openings are a little smaller than the standard 4x6 and 3x4 cards, so I had to trim 1/8" off of each side of the cards. I was careful to select cards where this wouldn't be a problem with the design. Another option would be to add photos to the openings.

My favorite card is the "Autumn" card with the gold bow. I had fun layering a chipboard pieces and a brad on top of the bow for a unique look.

I also love that little owl critter! Doesn't he look like he is saying a prayer of gratitude with his eyes close like that?... How sweet!

This was so much fun to create! I can't wait to fill it with Christmas themed products next month!

Enjoy your weekend!

thankful

Hey guys, are you having as much fun playing with the Golden Delicious kits as I am?? This kit seriously makes me smile every time I pull it out!

Today I have a pocket page layout. The original inspiration for this page came from some of the little drawings that my 4 yr old was making and I thought a pocket page would make more sense design wise and allow me to add more photos in with the drawings.

I used the classic kit for this page and even though it's not meant for pocket pages you can still make it work!

As I do with all of my pocket pages, I placed the photos in the spots where I wanted and then added embellishments & some patterned paper here and there until I was happy with it.
I also put a couple of the embellishments on top of and sticking out from my page protector because the placement worked better that way!

The Golden Delicious classic kit is sold out but there are still a few of the daily diary kits left!

Thankful to be able to "Enjoy the Ride"...

Each fall we go to the pumpkin patch (as many families do).  I am so thankful that we are able to slow down, enjoy the weather, spend time as a family, and "Enjoy the Ride"...

This layout is pretty simple, I really wanted to take advantage of the great patterned papers in the Golden Delicious Classic Kit that coordinated with the photos so well, so I used small pieces of them to line both sides of the layout...this way I still have plenty more of those same papers to use on another layout as well!!!

A few details from the layout include those awesome puffy stickers by Imaginisce, letter stickers by Jillibean Soup, Echo Park washi tape, and the October Afternoon label stickers.

And of course, I had to use the Maya Road fabric lace...my favorite part of this month's kit for sure!!!!

Thank you for letting me share my layout with you today.  Don't forget our December 2015 Kit (Mistletoe & Holly) Reveal Party is this Sunday, Nov 22 at 7:00pm PST on our Reveal Facebook Page.  You can pre order a kit before they sell out!!!  The December kit is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

An Explosion of Thankfulness

... or that's what I would call this page! Sometimes I can't help myself and my pages end up like a giant explosion of all my favorite things. This kit is so beautiful and had so many fun elements, I just wanted to squeeze a ton of them onto my page!

This week I am so thankful for the friendships God has put into my life... He has surrounded me with so many wonderful people. I think about this little community and y'all- it kind of breaks my heart that I can't see your faces in real life! I am glad I am not alone.

Y'all, there's no real technique here. Just lots of layers and adding on of things! It just makes me happy to see it all jumbled up on here. That's just me!

Thankful Layout, Process Video, and Single Page Pocket Pages

Hi Everyone! It's Jana Eubank. I have all kinds of fun things to share with you today using the Golden Delicious kits! I just can't stop playing with them! I am having so much fun!

First up, I have a layout that I created using the Classic Kit. I usually have a hard time starting with a pre-printed design on a background paper, but this barnwood pattern by Echo Park Paper was calling my name! I love the way the lace looks against the rustic wood.

I created a process video of me putting together this page. If you would like to watch it, just click on the video below, or visit my YouTube Channel HERE.

................................

Last week I shared a couple of two-page pocket layouts. Most of the time, I try to use coordinating products on facing pages of my pocket albums ... but it doesn't always have to be that way. Sometimes the photos on the facing pages just don't go with each other. That is when I treat each side of the two-page spread as separate layouts.

Today I wanted to share with you a few single-page pocket pages, using the Golden Delicious Daily Diary kit. Here is what I came up with!

GRATEFUL

This pages uses a mixture of all of the manufacturers in the Daily Diary Kit. That cute bacon card was perfect for this page! We like to eat lunch at a place called "The Corner Bakery." My daughter loves that they serve breakfast all day and every time we go, she orders pancakes and bacon. :)

I added a strip of washi tape to the bottom of the title card and then accented it with a stickers, sequins and brads from the Classic Kit. How cute is that little squirrel!

I cut the little house out from one of the Simple Stories cards to use as an accent. The egg brad looks so cute accenting it on the bacon card!

I *HEART* FALL

For this page, I cut one of the 2x2 cards into a banner shape to accent the top left photo, stapling it on with my mini stapler and accenting it with a couple of sequins from the Classic Kit.

My kit included these two scalloped circle accents. They weren't quite large enough to stand on their own, so I used a circle punch and the packaging of the October Afternoon Memory Mix cards to add a background layer to them. I LOVE using packaging as patterned paper. A lot of times, you can find a complimentary pattern on them that isn't included in the actual product line.

FALL

Finally, I created this page about Fall last year. My birthday is in the fall ... I wonder if that is one of the reasons I love it so much?! Hehe! All I wanted to do for my birthday last year was spend the day crafting in my room. My husband went to the local bakery and brought me home all kinds of yummy treats to snack on throughout the day. He's a keeper!

I also loved how cozy our house and yard were feeling to me. I snapped a few pictures to remember the way the sun comes in the windows. I love taking pictures of the inside of my house once in awhile because it seems like we are always changing and improving things. It's fun to look back on the way we used to have things!

Thanks for letting me share! I hope you find something to inspire you to make some projects with your Golden Delicious Kits.
