Valentine tree art

Hello friends! I have a quick and easy Valentine project that is actually more about love and family than Valentine's Day. I purposely did this project so that I could leave it up way past February 14th!

To start, I found this idea over on Pinterest:

It's meant to be a '2 lovebirds sitting in a tree' kind of theme. But I thought 'why not make it a family tree??'. And that's exactly what I did!

If you click on the link it will actually give you a template of the tree to download. I was going to fee hand the tree but then thought 'why make it harder than it has to be??'. But if you're good at that sort of thing then by all means go for it! I printed the tree directly on my patterned paper (that I had trimmed to 8x10).
Then I simply trimmed out the tree & attached it to some cardstock. I used the adorable wood hearts & heart stickers (on pop dots) along with some twine from my stash to represent each of my kids. The tiny alphas are from the Hey Girl Daily Diary kit, everything else is from the Love Life Classic Kit (there's still a few of each available).

I also thought it'd be cute if you had grandkids to put little hearts along the branches :)

Then I added some of that silver glitter glue to another wooden heart & some alphas to represent my husband and I.

A quick and easy art project that I'll have out in my home for months to come :)

Note: I also took the glass out of my frame since my art is dimensional and looks much better without the glass.
