Kindergarten with the Study Guide Classic Kit

It's that time of year when all the students are headed back to school.  This months kit is such a great mix of school themed and non school themed products.  I decided to document a few things about my littlest from last year when he was starting school as a kindergartener.

I started with the yellow cardstock and cut about an inch off two sides and used the black script pattern paper underneath.  I then started cutting strips of pattern paper to go on top.  I ended up three different patterns and lined up on top of the cardstock.

I cut a strip of pattern paper for the top of the block and placed ribbon underneath.  I then decided to use the Heidi Swapp stamp on to of one of the cardstock stickers and placed that on the upper left corner.

I then used the thickers to spell out my title and added the pictures and journaling block underneath.  I cut one of the library cards from pattern paper and added his teacher, school, and school year with the American Crafts marker before tucking it behind the picture.

The final touches were some enamel dots, flair, and cork stickers.

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend.  Thanks for stopping by the blog today and be sure to share any of your projects on the Noel Mignon Facebook Page.  We would love to see what you have been creating.

Happy Scrapping!

Hamilton Trash: July Limited Edition All Star Kit

Hi everyone!  Sarah here with a layout using the Limited Edition All Star kit that was available during the July reveal.  Since we celebrated Independence Day here in the US this past week, it was the perfect time for it.  When I opened this kit I immediately wanted to scrap this layout of the book and soundtrack of Alexander Hamilton, which I have been loving.  The patriotic colors and theme in this kit was perfect for this layout.

I love every single patterned paper in this kit.  Every. Single. One.  I decided to use my favorite, this blue ombre paper from Pink Paislee as my background.  I used a strip of another Pink Paislee with the stars and stripes on it as a large strip along the side.  The other papers I cut into for layers are all from Simple Stories (the paisley, the confetti dots and the journal card).  I used the Lawn Fawn blue ink to ink up the edges of the papers to help them stand out against each other.

I love the Thickers in this kit and how tall and skinny they are.  I used both the Thickers and the Simple Stories alphabet stickers for the title.  The Pink Paislee puffy stickers are also gorgeous!

The red star ribbon is an awesome way to ground my photos.  I flair badge that says "Let Freedom Ring" was the inspiration for this layout.  The color tones were perfect for my pictures and it reminded me of patriotic topics.

I used a small strip of the red star washi tape to help finish it off.

I absolutely love this kit and I hope you are digging into it if you were able to grab one.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see your layouts using the All Star kit!

She's My Lobster - February Classic Kit: Happy Together

Hi everyone!  Sarah here with another layout using the February Class Kit called Happy Together.  This time I wanted to showcase more love, but for my best friend.  This girl is my person.  She's my best friend and I lovingly call her my lobster, which is a quote from the TV show Friends.

I LOVE the watercolor hearts paper from Pink Paislee that came in the kit and knew I wanted to feature it as a background.  To add a bit more interest, I combined it by adding a strip from a Simple Stories paper up on the top 1/3 of the layout so it almost looks two-toned.  I also added a strip of pink cardstock and layered it with a piece of the self-adhesive ribbon.

Since the Simple Stories paper was already embellished with the florals and stripes, I didn't need to do much to it.  I added those adorable Lawn Fawn elephant stamps and a fabric bow.

For my title, I combined the Elle's Studio smaller letter stickers with the Thickers.  I also added that Crate Paper layered ribbon to help highlight the title and I love the way it fits just so.

To finish out the embellishing, I added the layered heart by Crate Paper and added a wood veneer word on top.  I also journaled on the die cut, which I outlined with my pen in order to help it stand out more against the background paper.  A Pebbles arrow sticker and a few small stamped hearts (from the Lawn Fawn set) helps round out my layout.

I encourage you to look at your Valentine or "Love" themed supplies and scrap about someone in your life who you love, but isn't your significant other.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope I was able to help create a spark of a idea for a layout for you.  Please be sure to stop by the blog everyday for a new layout and project by our awesome design team.  Have a great weekend!

"Wrap It Up" Holiday Cards

Hello Everyone, Lynn here with some Holiday Cards using this month's "Oh What Fun" Classic Kit. Last week I created a tree from strips of paper - you can see that layout here. I used the same design to create some Holiday Cards. Our challenge this week is "Wrap It Up". We used both washi tape and ribbon on our projects. I used strips of washi tape and papers to create my trees and a piece of ribbon for the tree trucks. Here are my cards.
I created most of the cards on white with a kraft background. I created one on kraft with a white background and that's my favorite. Here's some close ups.
I love the translucency of the washi tape. The acrylic words included in the kit added a nice touch and dimension to some of my cards.
Of course, a few sequins and a puffy heart don't hurt either!!!!
All my cards are size A2. I love the burlap ribbon for the trunks.
My last card.
These holiday cards are quick and easy to put together. I like having handmade cards ready for that someone special.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next week.

It's a Magical Week with "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit

Hello, Lynn here with my latest layout using the "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit. Our challenge this week is "Magical". Simply use "magical" as the inspiration for your project. The first thing that came to mind was Disney. I haven't been to Disney in a seriously LONG time but I went through some photos and came across this gem. I went to an ultrasound conference in 2000 and stayed in a resort hotel within walking distance to Epcot. The conference was half days only so we could have fun as well. Here's my layout.

I decided to use circles for my background to compliment the photo of Epcot. I used a variety of Lawn Fawn's Large and Small Stitched Circle Stackables Dies. I love the detail of stitched edges. The strips of green on the sides of my page are pieces of washi tape included in this month's kit.
Here's a close up of the circles.

I added some vellum stars scattered across the layout - I used vellum so the stars would be subtle and not take away from the photo or the bright circles.
Thanks for stopping by today. Give our challenge a try - I'm sure you'll create something magical!!

Frame It Up with the Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit

Hello, Lynn here with my first project life page using this month's "Vintage Charm" Daily Diary Kit. This kit is PACKED with goodies for your pocket pages and there are a few left in the store so grab one while you can. I used lots of Simple Stories "Bloom and Grow" products for my page. Our theme this week is "I've Been Framed" - we are using frames that are included in our kits on our projects. The frames in the Daily Diary kit were bigger than I wanted so I made my own frames using the papers from the kit. Here's my page.
My photos were printed with the Collect App. The three frames on my page were created using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Square Stackables Dies. Here's some close up of the cards.
My title card.
Here's the first frame. I nestled two stackable dies together to create a frame. I popped up a heart die cut and topped the heart off with the fun twine from The Twinery.

Here's the second frame. I went a bit bigger with this one and layered stickers under and over the frame.
Here's the final frame. I used plain white cardstock for this frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and checking out our challenge.
Have a great week and I'll be back next week with another Project Life page!!

A Budding Romance with the Heart of Gold Classic Kit

Hello Bloggers, Lynn here to start off our "Budding Romance" design challenge this week. Simply use a flower(s) as a major element on your project. You can make your own flower, fussy cut flowers from patterned paper or add flower embellishments to your page. This challenge was easy using this month's Heart of Gold Classic Kit. I used the gold doily as a base for my page and added my photo, flower stickers and lots of other elements to build up my layout. Here's my page

I popped up both flower stickers for added dimension. I added lots of puffy stickers and used the small heart in the stamp set with the Lawn Fawn ink to add some stamped hearts here and there.

I typed on the layered tag and used the yummy gold dipped thickers included in our kit.

So, let's see how you use flowers on your projects to create a Budding Romance! Stay tuned for more inspiration from the design team using this week's challenge.
Have a great week!
