He's All Swagger
Hi everyone and happy Tuesday to you! I'm here to share my last Melrose layout today. I LOVED this kit, so much! Are you sick of hearing me say that because I think I've told you every week how much I love it.
The gold in the Melrose kit was perfect for scrapping a photo of my handsome son all dressed up in his tuxedo for prom with his gold tie. He just looked so grown up too I had to have a photo of the two of us together.
I stuck with a gold/cream color scheme except for the little pops of pink. I figured I could get a way with a little pink since it was a prom page, lol! :)
I wanted to include some stars to make it feel a little more masculine didn't have any chipboard stars from the kit left so I substituted some from my stash and splattered them with the Heidi Swapp Gold mist available in the shop.
I also found a cute vellum and gold banner when digging through my stash for some stars that complemented the Melrose kit perfectly so I added it across the top.
I used the prom slogan from the tuxedo rental company for the title of my layout. I felt it was perfect for scrapping teen boys all dressed up. I used those fabulous gold Thickers from the kit and the pink letter stickers are from the Lasting Love kit.
If you have any prom pictures, whether they were taken this year or in years past, the Melrose kit is perfect for any dress/tuxedo combo with the multiple colors and gold accents.
The Melrose kit is sold out, if you missed out on the kit you can pick up the Melrose Paper Only Kit in the shop. Also, don't forget to sign up for a kit subscription so you don't miss out on any future kits!
Thanks for visiting today. I'll see you back here next week with something fun using the brand new Country Lane kit.

{1987}
hi everyone! happy Monday!
I'm back today sharing my last layout using Noel Mignon's
April kit - Melrose:
{1987}
yes, that's me. LOL! 1987 called...they want their hair back..right?
I just happened to stumble on a few of these shots of me back in the day
and for some reason..looking at the Melrose kit, it seemed PERFECT
for my 80's pic of me in my SR. year - in my prom dress.
The gold glitter Thickers - first of all..GENIUS idea.
second of all...so 80's (but so TODAY!)
and the bow - I had to add the bow. I was ALWAYS a bow girl.
I hope you've enjoyed this little step back in time with me .
Back next week using May's beautiful kit - see you soon!

Joy RIde
Hi everyone! A couple weeks ago my son's wrestling team had their awards banquet. They had a recording breaking season both as a team and individual wrestlers. After recognizing them for a job well done they hit the games. I captured a couple of photos that show their fun but yet competitive side off the mat!
I used Julie's sketch for my layout. I think this one is really versatile, I'm anxious to try some more ideas with the sketch.
I added punched circles in three sizes onto each upper color blocks. I really love what it added to the layout.
The journaling is tucked behind that photo on the Take Note card.
All supplies come from the Melrose kit, except the piece of wood veneer and the flair. Add some flair to your next Noel Mignon order, it is available in the shop! The Melrose kit is sold out but the Melrose paper only kit is available, if you don't already have it I highly recommend picking it up.
Did you know that kit subscriptions are being taken right now for the next term. You can sign up right here!
Did you also know that if you share the news about kit subscriptions you will be entered for an awesome giveaway? You can read how to enter right here on the blog.
Thanks for visiting! Have a fabulous day!

Oh Hello Flashback!
today I'm flashing back. Back to 1999.
this photo - I've held on to this photo for a long time.
I haven't ever scrapped it, just held on to it. No reason really... just because.
It isn't a perfect picture by any means. BUT it is to me.
it's perfect because that little face belongs to my now 22 year old daughter.
She was 8 years old here. It's a COLD spring day and we are at all day
soccer games for her and her brother. She was SO cold. She just wanted
to snuggle with her daddy, under a big quilt. For some reason...
I loved her little pink nose & decided to snap that shot.
Anyways - this photo is a flashback. Back to when my baby girl was
still what she would let me call her - my baby girl! No matter what, she will
always be that, no if's and or buts about it! My Savannah...isn't she darling?
My layout is based on Julie's sketch. I changed things up a bit, but it's mainly
the sketch, with a few added things.

8 is great
My oldest turned 8 a couple of weeks ago. I've been a mama for 8 years! It's a little unbelievable to me. This sweet girl has grown up a lot in the last year, and while in the past I would have used copious amounts of cotton candy pink and lavender to scrap a page about her, I loved the navy and gold combo that was in the Melrose kit... thrown in with a dash of minty green, and it reflects the fun but maturing tastes of my big girl.
I used Julie's sketch but flipped it on its side instead. Remember that awesome Heidi Swapp fringe trim in the Soda Shoppe kit? I wanted to mimic it and added some fringe to the edge of my layers with my scissors.
I love a simple garland of tags. It's one of my favorite accents to a layout!
The embellishments in the Melrose kit add so much variety to a cluster of decor- lots of fun texture.

Everyday Summer Days
I got to play with Julie's awesome sketch from yesterday, and here's what I came up with.
Lindsey Dixon started a conversation in the Facebook group on whether or not you are a planner or a wing-it type of scrapper. I used the sketch as a start, but the rest was winging it.
I scaled it down...using that gorgeous map paper from Webster's Pages. I planned on using these geometric Christmas trees to replace the circles in the sketch, but by accident, I loved how they looked together like this.
Then I picked the photos...these couldn't have been more perfect...I'm ready for the pool to be warm enough because the weather sure is heating up.
I replaced the circles with other embellies...I am always floored by the amazing variety of embellies and paper that Noel packs in these kits.
Hope you get a chance to play with this kit and sketch...have a great week!

Little Ballerina
I've been saving a vintage photo of my mother-in-law, just waiting for the perfect paper and embellishments and Melrose was the kit that fit the bill. I thought the pinks, florals, neutrals and golds would showcase this treasured photo perfectly...and I was right.
I layered the gold dot vellum on a neutral background and then tucked the floral print behind the vellum. I really like the soft diffused look of the floral paper. I stitched the layers down, using the lines of the neutral patterned paper as my guide.
All items except the flair and the gold washi tape are from the Melrose kit. It is sold out but you can get the paper only kit in the shop! The flair is by Shelley from A Flair from Buttons. You can find a great selection of her flair in the shop.
Thanks so much for visiting. Have a fabulous day!

{Peace*Joy*Love}
there's a certain type of peace when anyone enters my home.
at our entry, as soon as you open our door - you'll see a wall of crosses
that I've been collecting through the years. Some are old, some are new,
some are bright..some are blue. (sorry, my inner Dr. Seuss came out)
Each one has a story. Some are from near (Hobby Lobby!) and some are
from FAR away (Jerusalem, Israel is my farthest one).
I love this cross nook in our entry. I want to fill the entire entry walls
one day. Right now, I LOVE how calm, peaceful & serene it is.
It's a representation to all who pass by or enter - we are believers.
I used the Melrose kit to create my layout. I intended it to be soft,
muted & gentle. BUT I had a little gold mist incident & decided...
it looks ok, I'm leaving it. So I added on top of it.
I crinkled all my papers & distressed them before gluing them down.
The vellum - wow, that is beautiful! And cuts like butter. I made 3 banner
strips, crinkled and glued them first.
I added a flair button by Shelley (you can find them here: A Flair for Buttons
in the Noel Mignon store.
Thanks for letting me share with you today!
Have a great week!

Stolen Moment
My sweet girls have their ups and downs as sisters, but lately I've seen promise of a very close relationship that will develop.
It brings hope to this mama's heart! It's something I definitely wanted to document!
The Melrose kit is SO pretty and perfectly my style!
I hope I never run out of pieces from this kit- ha!

A Very Frilly Layout
Oh my...I dug into the Melrose kit. I thought I loved gold, but now I'm obsessed with it. And the kit is filled with so many of the newest products that just make you drool. Sometimes when I see a really pretty pattern paper, I find I want to hoard it instead of using it...so I challenged myself to use this beautiful background paper with the doilies from Maggie Holmes' Crate Paper line as the jumping point to this frilly layout.
Other than being frilly, I kept it simple. I cut banners from the gold polka dot vellum, and that inspired more banners to layer.
I also love this photo, and wanted it to take center stage. It was just me and my daughter for a few days and those are sometimes my favorite days. I had wanted to scrap it after I took it. And this was the perfect kit for it.
Have a great week and hope you are enjoying this kit!
