{Sedona, Arizona} Layout with the "Enjoy the Journey" Classic Kit

Happy Monday!  It's Meridy here and I have another layout using the "Enjoy the Journey" Classic Kit to share with you today.  I loved the Simple Stories products that came in this month's kit, and really thought they would be perfect with some hiking photos that I had.

I wanted to use the starburst/graph patterned paper that came in this month's kit, but I wanted to make it look more like a "starburst".  So first, I cut strips of the coordinating patterned papers to cover every other "ray" and adhered those to each ray on the graph paper.

After I got the background of the layout completed, it was time to add the photos and embellishments. I made one embellishment cluster using the twill trim, a tag, flair, a die cut, and a chipboard sticker from the kit.  I finished that cluster off with a few stamped phrases from the roller stamp that came with this kit.

Next, it was time to work on the title.  I used the beautiful glitter Thickers and mini letter stickers that came in the kit, as the colors worked great with these papers, photos, and embellishments.  Next, I added in another piece of the twill trim, a heart die cut, a cork sticker,  and a couple of chipboard stickers.  I finished off this little cluster with a few more stamped sentiments.

I will do some journaling on the adjacent page in the album, as I still have some more photos of this hike.  I will share that layout next week.  Thank you for stopping by today!

Hanging out with the Aliens

Hi, there!

It's Becky with you again today to share another project that I created with this month's Daily Diary kit, Happy Together.

This kit is so beautiful and while it's so great for Valentine's and love-themed projects it is great for the everyday. That's one of the things that I love most about Noel's kits.

For this page I have used lots of hearts but the page is about Roswell, New Mexico ♥

We were traveling through Roswell on our way to a gymnastics meet in Ruidoso and, as always, had to stop and find some fun photo-taking opportunities.

As we were driving around town we spotted this really cool mural with a bunch of aliens on the back of a print shop and HAD to stop to take some pictures. And, as is also common for our photos, a couple of my girls had to be upside-down.

I thought that the pinks, greens and blues from the photos went perfectly with the Pretty Little Studio items in the kit.

Here's a look at my page:

As you can see, I've used some of the 2x3 cards and little labels for design elements on my page. Typically I would write on the labels but decided to keep them blank for this page. I cut out the cute little camera from one of the cards in the kit and added the hearts with foam adhesive.

The little rubber hearts were one of my favorite parts of the kit! As you can see, I outlined the "snapshot" with a black Sharpie pen to help those words to stand out more on my page.

I used a mix of fun tags and stickers to bring a lot of color to the page, tucking some under pictures and overlapping others right over the top.

I hope you're having a great week so far. Stay tuned tomorrow for more ideas on how to use this month's kit.

Tag, You're It! "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! Lynn back today with a very different project using this month's "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit.  The design team's challenge this week is to use buttons, bows or stitches on our projects. I wanted to use tags on my page so I could place buttons on the tops of the tags. I initially wanted to create an 8.5 x 11 layout. I love this design and I enjoy adding different pages sizes to my albums. Then I went a different route. I used Ranger's Giant Manilla Tag #12 size as a template for my background. These tags are HUGE! The giant tag size is 5 1/8" x 10 1/2". The smaller tags I used on the background are #5 size which are 2 3/8 x 4 3/4. I used the kraft cardstock included in the classic kit this month as the base for my project. I painted gesso on a background stamp to give the plain kraft cardstock some design. I then placed three size #5 tags on the large tag. Here's my project:
The large gold glitter bow is from our kit this month. The bow pieces from Fancy Pants are precut and so easily put together.
The flowers and leaves from Prima are so pretty and coordinate nicely with the Pink Paislee papers.
The buttons I used are from my Gram's stash. She was a professional seamstress and I was very lucky that she handed them down to me.
So what do you do with this giant tag? Well I displayed it in this decorative floral pin frog. You could also place it on an easel and it will fit in a 6 x 12 page protector so you can put it in your scrapbook album.
I hope you liked this tag page and I will return next week with another project using "Buttons and Bows" Classic Kit!! Have a great week!!!!!

Golden Delicious Daily Diary Shaped Tags

Hello Everyone! Michelle Zerull here with two new tags that were made from the Golden Delicious Daily Diary Kit. This kit is loaded with so much cute, fun products that it was hard to decide which items that I wanted to use first!
I decided to make tags, because I use them for everything. I attach them to small gifts, send them in the mail, use them on layouts....I'm always needing a cute tag! I used the Sizzix Scoreboard Canning Jar Die to make the shaped tags. The old-fashioned jelly jar shape was perfect! It is similar in shape to the Coffee House to-go cups. And Autumn is synonymous with Pumpkin Spice Lattes! If you don't use Sizzix, you can find similar shapes online to trace and cut with scissors.
I used a lot of "B" sides of the papers to make these. Both sides are awesome, so it's like getting twice as much to work with! I know this sounds silly, but I am pretty excited with the twine in this months kit, too. It looks like Bakers Twine, but has a rough texture like hemp. I love it!
Thank you for letting me share with you today. I truly loved making these and I can't wait to create more fun things with this month's Daily Diary Kit

Have a great day!

Pinterest Inspired

Hello!! I have a fun little pinterest inspired tag to share with you all today. I love looking to Pinterest for fun ideas and prompts. Last week, during the "Book Of Love" crop, I visited Pinterest a few times to find ideas for adding different textures and layers into the album I was making.

love you more wall art print

I stumbled across this image, which instantly made me think of the Fancy Pants, Devotion paper that was included in the February "Book Of Love" kit.

By fussy cutting out some of the hearts, and hand cutting letters, I was able to create this cute, fun, little tag that was a perfect addition for my album!

I kept it very simple, I really wanted to watercolor, tone on tone effect to stand out!

How was your V-day??

Did you do anything special for Valentine's Day or get anything good??
Do tell!
We celebrate Valentine's Day every day in my house so we did not feel the need to do anything major yesterday.
{chuckle, chuckle}
But I did make some fun treats for my girls at work!
I mean, it was Valentine's day and figure it makes for a better work environment if everyone's chocolate stash is fully stocked!
So I grabbed my
Charm School kit and made them a little something...

Easy peasy! And yummy!!
Well I hope you had a great Valentine's Day!
Or I hope you at least got some chocolate!
:)
Have a great day!
