"Apple Picking" Challenge

I hope everyone is having a good time at our Fall Harvest Crop this week!!!  I'm excited to announce another challenge...this afternoon's challenge is the "Apple Picking Challenge".

You can do the "Apple Picking Challenge" in 1 of 2 ways.  You can either scrapbook a family outing to the Apple Orchard OR you can "pick" supplies from at least 4 different scrapbook lines/brands (you do not have to use a Noel Mignon kit---but the kits make it really easy, since the supplies already coordinate!!!)

For a REAL challenge...I actually did a combination of both. I scrapbooked pictures of our family at the apple orchard last month and used supplies from the October Blue Moon Classic Kit that came from 5 different scrapbook lines.

Here is my take on the Apple Picking Challenge...

I "picked" paper from Pebbles "Harvest" line...

The 2nd scrapbook supply I "picked" was Thickers by American Crafts for part of my title.  The 3rd brand I "picked" was chipboard pieces from Echo Park's "The Story of Our Family" line.

I "picked" puffy stickers from Pink Paislee "Cedar Lane" line for my 4th supply.

The 5th line I "picked" was Simple Stories "We Are...Family" paper, die cut shapes, and 'new' brads.

And that wraps up the "Apple Picking" Challenge.  Please share your layouts for this challenge on our Noel Mignon Members Facebook page in the "Apple Picking Challenge" album for your chance to win .  HAPPY PICKING!!!!

Hello There Punkin Face

Happy Wednesday!!

Over on our Facebook Members page, we're having a super fun crop this week! Today I am presenting a challenge called, "At the Patch," and I'd love for you to play along! To play in this challenge, you must make a layout using the color palette you associate with going to the pumpkin patch.

For me, those colors are coral-ee-pink, orange, brown, and a touch of black and white. I know, weird. But I like those Cinderella-type pumpkins, with the warts, and the funny colors, all squat and wonky-shaped.

Of course, I had to layer as many patterned papers as I could manage, and mixed in a ton of stickers, cut-outs amid the layers. I even fussy-cut some flowers and leaves. And can we talk about those wood veneers!? swoon

I have such a hug stash of ephemera, it's embarrassing. So you know how happy it makes me to dump a bunch on my layouts! Layering in some Bradz and epoxy dots, and voila!

Now if I could just manage to get to the actual pumpkin patch to pick out some of my favorite wonky gourds!

Hop on over to the Facebook Members page to share your layout for this challenge - I've got an album all made up for you to add them to!

Book of Love: "Cupid's Arrow"

Good morning!! Hope you all have been having fun and playing along with our Book of Love online crop! You do not have to be a member to play along, so if you haven't yet, make sure you head over to the facebook page and play along!

I am here to share the next chapter in you book...Cupid's Arrow!! The challenge is..you guessed it, to use arrows!!!
I am putting together a little mini album for my husband for Valentine's Day with some OLD pictures of us, so I used this challenge to make a fun little cover to my mini.
I thought this woodgrain was perfect for the cover, and I knew I wanted to do our initials in the heart...a little stitching and embellishing later, and there is a simple but fun cover!

I love making minis with different sized pages, so I cut my cover to 4x6, while having that fun arrow paper as my next page a little bigger, so it shows and makes a fun mat! Here's a close up shot.

I hope you play along, make sure and upload your project to our Cupid's Arrow album on the group facebook page!!

So Foxy

Hi Friends!! I am in full on valentine mode! I love this special day of celebrating those you love...I think you should tell/show them everyday, but having that one special day to get as mushy as you want is pretty fun.
I am not much of a cardmaker, so normally, as much as I hate to admit it, I end up buying valentine's for my family. This year though, I am determined to make them. They may be simple, but they will be from my heart, and that's what it's all about!

So, when I saw the cut apart paper from Jillibean Soup in the Book Of Love kit, I knew this was going to help me a TON! Then I saw the " So Foxy" card and knew it would be perfect for my hubby...anybody that knows us knows that that is SO us.

So, here is the card I created:

Simple, but cute, right? I think he will love it....even though my 5 year old informed me that, "it's way too pink for Daddy!" lol.

Don't forget to join us next week for our Book of Love crop!! It's going to be a blast!!!

Summer Lovin' Crop- Colorstory Challenge!

Colors can completely affect your mood and communicate a certain feeling... and I loved the sweet, airy feeling this color board gave, with that little pop of red for unexpectedness!

(The colorboard is originally from here:http://tarisota.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/03/pinspiration.html

So your challenge is a simple one today... use this color board as inspiration for your layout! I love color challenges because it's always interesting to see which color people choose as the dominant color.

Here's my take on it, using the Summer Wind Kit:

(And if you have the Summer Wind kit, you're especially in luck since this is the same color story as that kit! Don't have the kit? Get creative with your stash, paints, inks, and photo colors!) :)

Come join us on the board- you have through Monday to complete the challenges and win some prizes!
